Lovely experience at Oceans 234 while visiting the Boca area. They have a great menu full of fresh options and we had a great experience from the time we arrived until when we left. We had gone out for a birthday dinner, and the team was so accommodating and had great suggestions from the menu. We ordered the Thai Curry and Shrimp, Harvest Salad and the fresh catch ceviche. The Thai Curry Shrimp was amazing, having that sweet and spicy component that paired great with the fish and shrimp. The ceviche was extremely fresh, citrusy and was great with the terra chips. The salad was refreshing and light, definitely paired well with all of the other dishes. And our server, Logan and team were amazing, attentive and always kept our drinks full. Celebrated a friend's birthday here and the restaurant did not disappoint. Very nice decor and soft ambient music which we could hear even on the patio. Service was exemplary from Jose. Started with a robust portion of calamari with two dipping sauces. Had shrimp scampi and Thai Coconut Mahi and shrimp. Both dishes were excellent. A complimentary dessert with a candle was brought out for my friend which was most appreciated and very classy. Staff said goodbye and thanked us- showing they appreciated our patronage. Wonderful waterfront restaurant in Deerfield Beach. We came on a chilly night and they had great space heaters to keep us warm, still with an ocean view! Service was very slow at first but once a waiter finally came to greet us, she was awesome! Korean chicken wings were delicious with a little bit of spice. Thai coconut shrimp & mahi hit the spot - served with perfect crispy rice and 2 large shrimp. The smash burger looked delicious and my boyfriend was very pleased with his salmon. We had sharing plates for the table and ordered the scallops, the salmon, fish of the day, lobster Mac n cheese, and the lobster sushi rolls. What a beautiful restaurant Oceans 234 is. The openness of the rooms, bar and glass walls to the outside dining are so welcoming. Adam or waiter was great. His service and recommendations were spot on. For appetizers we ordered the fried calamari served with a marinara sauce and a smoked tater sauce which was out of this world! We also had the hummus with roasted chick peas, served with plenty of pita too! For dinner I canned what I was going to have (shrimp scampi) to the mahi mahi and shrimp blackened. This was done because Adam said that this dish was the best here, so I went with it. The dish was delicious and then to to it off, I ordered a side of mushroom truffle risotto (OMG)! The other dinners were the scallops with mushroom truffle risotto, and the shrimp scampi over a pasta. Everything was enjoyed and we had a great evening. Fabulous food, breathtaking views, and outstanding staff. I have celiac disease and become very ill from cross-contamination, so dining out can be stressful. Brian, our waiter, was exceptional. He was incredibly knowledgeable about food allergies, carefully explained my options, and personally spoke with the kitchen to ensure my meal was safe. Visited last week and feel compelled to share my thoughts. The restaurant is beautiful and right on the ocean. That is reflected in their pricing. Their Smashburger is $29. Pricing goes up from there. Way up. I really don't mind if I am getting an all around enjoyable experience. Everyone enjoyed their meals. The food was great. Our server was excellent. Two gripes: 1. The job of the hostess is to make a great first impression and have a smile on your face. We were greeted as though we were there for a funeral. Cold, unpleasant, indifferent. Not cool. 2. I am standing at the bar which is empty @ 5:30pm. Four guys behind the bar, all of whom clearly see me. I'm waiting. And waiting. And waiting while clearly being completely ignored. I then have to walk over to where they are chatting/congregating to order a $20 drink. It was bizarre. So my impression is that this is a very pretty place in a great location with excellent food. You pay to play and I have no problem with that. However, at that price point I expect a warm greeting and excellent service. On that point, they failed. Better training on first class hospitality seems to be needed. Just keeping it real. read more

A group of ten attended a birthday dinner celebration. Everything from the hostess greeting us at the to the ocean view was perfect. The food was excellent and you couldn't go with any selection. We started off with appetizers calamari, lollipop chicken, Yucatán shrimp and smoked fish dip. Each appetizer was tasty. Our main entrees were served right on time. I had the special of the night brazino fish over rice well seasoned. My table had the crispy whole fish which was nicely fried the presentation was on point and the taste to match. The other entrees were the scallops and risotto delicious, Thai pesto mahi and shrimp, and rack of lamb. Everyone plate was cleared off. Coming in this place is just mind blown from the host stance, to the bar to even outside! This place is a wonderful date night spot as well with how intimate it present. We came for dinner to celebrate our friend's birthday. They have been here before and they selected the venue. We sat outside next to the beach walk and got to people watch while dining. The restaurant is upscale and a bit pricey, but obviously good for a special occasion celebration. There is valet parking out front of the restaurant that you pay for in advance. We started by sharing a Caesar salad. Unlike most Caesar salads, it had a few pieces of "confit" tomatoes. There were some crunchy parmesan crisps on top and a very tasty dressing. It was excellent and more than large enough to share. Our friends started their meal by sharing an order of mussels. For our main meal, I had the Thai and pesto grilled mahi fish with shrimp. At the suggestion of our server, I got the seafood lightly blackened. The mahi and shrimp were served over spinach and basmati rice. It was slightly spicy, but good. The two gentlemen both had the churrasco steak. It was a special of the evening. The meat came grilled and was served with fried yuca. My husband's serving was tender, but our friend's steak was undercooked and a bit tough. The birthday gal had the lobster mac n cheese. On the menu it says it's a Maine lobster, but I didn't think it was. Plus, although tasty, it seemed a bit small in size, especially for the price. There was lots of pasta with cheesy mornay sauce, however. For dessert, we shared a taste of her flourless chocolate ganache cake which was delivered with a sparkler and some berries and whipped cream alongside. This dessert was complimentary for her birthday. We also ordered some coffees along with the dessert. We didn't have the best service. Our person kept getting distracted and took forever to bring the requested lime for our drinks (I had to ask 3 times); and never delivered the sweetener for our coffees (I got up from the table to get it myself). I commented that my cappuccino was now cold after waiting so long for his delivery of the sugars (the coffee had been served lukewarm to start, so it didn't help), and he brought another one for me to replace the first. We thoroughly enjoyed the night with good company and lively conversation -- even though there were a few glitches. read more

As my wife & I entered into the restaurant, we were greeted with a bright & big smile by a wonderful woman at the host desk. I let her know that, we have a reservation for four people. She graciously walked us to our table, out on their patio, with a breath taking view of the beach. Right on the water front that peaks out to the pier. As we were waiting for the rest of our party. Adam was extremely attentive & knowledgeable with the menu. Once our friends arrived, we were catching up with a long conversation before ordering our first meal, Adam was very friendly and polite he consistently checked up on us, as we took our time to look through the menu. We decided on starters, we let Adam know about a gluten intolerance, He pointed out that the menu has Gluten free and vegan friendly. We decided on: OYSTER MUSHROOM BAO BUNS "Which was absolutely delightful!" ORGANIC BEET SALAD "Extremely tasty" SMOKED FISH DIP "The taro chips were a great pair to the smoked fish dip, that had so much depth of flavor and texture." LOLLIPOP CHICKEN WINGS "Deliciously flavorful but packed with a punch of savory, sweet and spicy." LOBSTER "SUSHI" ROLL Gluten Free "The lobster was cooked perfectly, it was delicious to the palate, smooth to the taste great texture." MEMBERS ONLY ROLL "So much flavor in every bite, you could taste the assorted pieces of fish that complemented each other." There were other things on the menu we didn't take a picture of. We were also celebrating two birthdays my wife's and my best friends Adam was so nice to show up with two chocolate cakes with sparkler fireworks. The meal and the dessert were superb!
