Too bad you cannot take stars away! Ken would get a negative 5* review. He sold my friend a 2004 Nissan Sentra - I'll admit we were not expecting much more than a reliable p.o.s. car as it was only for $650. The driver's exterior door handle is broken - open with care, the back left window does not work, the interior was filthy, stained and it smelled to high heaven but, my friend was in desperate need of a reliable - safe car to get to and from work for a few months. Ken stated that his "mechanic" says "all it needs is a CR joint". We took it to a reputable highly recommended mechanic who handed us a list of repairs that needed to be done just to pass inspection - not counting the horn which my friend forgot to ask the mechanic to check out. The list is 2 pages long and if you cut costs using aftermarket parts the repairs come to $1,581.39! My friend is so distraught, he asked me to call Ken at Oceanside Auto Sales to see if he would either do the repairs or get his money back. I did call Ken. I started to tell him what the mechanic had told us and he started talking over me - to explain to me that any mechanic will find a list of things to repair "they just want to make money" he said. I told him if he did not stop yelling over me and listen that I would show up on his lot with the police; Ken said "This confirmation is effectively over" and hung up on me. I haven't shown up on his lot with the police yet, but I will as soon as possible. I am filing a complaint with the Attorney General's Office on my friend's behalf right now! Ken effectively sold my friend a car that is too dangerous to be on the road - a death trap and is fully aware of the danger he put us in! Funny, this review went up months ago and disappeared!!! Ken sold my 20 year old son a 2001 volvo for 5400.00 in August. When it didnt pass inspection, he had attitude because we did not let him inspect it. (ofcourse he would have passed the lemon he sold us). Since then my son has had to replace the transmission, aternator, and timing belt. When I called to tell him about the transmission, he advised to call him tomorrow...guess what he didn't answer his phone.....Nice guy!! He now has 9000.00 dollars in a 2001 car. WARNING!!! These guys sold my wife a car that was rotted underneath the car. We ended up finding out the Jeep they sold us was in very bad condition and very unsafe to drive. We tried to tell them multiple times what the issues were and they didn't try to help at all instead we we're more of an inconvenience. We tried to have them buy there car back but they wouldn't even do it. This all happened within a year. We explained that we had a 3 year old that spent alot of time in the car as well and even still they refused to help! They are by far "THE WORST DEALERSHIP IN MASSACHUSETTS". DO NOT buy a car from these guys. We lost over $6000 between buying the car and paying for repairs from another mechanic. read more

The main salesman is Ken, the owner Tom's nit-wit crony who feels the need to chime in on everything and has the intelligence of a 4th grader. Ken is at the lot the majority of the time and will lie any time you need to get business matters taken care of. He will tell you to call back, or the wrong part was sent etc. He never relays messages to the owner Tom, who doesn't care anyways once he runs away with your cash. Fall for their bad credit finance scheme and your quoted price will jump up $2,000 after you pay your non-refundable deposit. These guys are shady and the definition of dirtbag used car salesman. I'm all for guys trying to make money and hat cars gone but there's a way that you do it the owner Tom gave me the run around for days to get my trade in to his shop to check it out I come one day he tells me I'll call you when to come back so I wait....6hrs go by I decide to call and another associate tells me the whole time he had another deal in the works on the same car I knew something was up by his sketchy attitude multiple excuses for things and just completely unprofessional he is clearly one of the guys that opened a dealer because he's good at lying. When I was first car shopping last year, I had gone to Oceanside and they gave me a good vibe that made me want to buy from them. But I ended up buying a cheaper car elsewhere. When that car broke, I decided to go back to Oceanside. I went on a Saturday and the salesman told me they didn't have a dealer plate that day and to come back on Sunday. I explained that my credit was horrible, I had a repossession , and that I had no money to put down (I did have money to put down but I was hoping for a no money down loan). He was very positive "yes come back tomorrow, we'll get you in a great car". Went on Sunday and the first thing he tells me is that I need at least a grand down. So when I called him out on the lie, he said $500 down would be fine and they'd do some adjustments on the paperwork to make it look like I put more down. I filled out the paperwork and was told I'd get a call by noon on Monday. Monday came and no call. Called them on Tuesday and they said the financing company had a backlog and they'd do my paperwork first thing Wednesday morning. By 4pm on Wednesday, I still had not received a call. Call them and my loan was declined. I tell them I'll have my friend's car on Thursday so I can come by on my lunch to get my deposit back. Get there and no one is there. I call the cell phone # number listed on the door and after a bunch of excuses, I tell him I'll be back after 5pm and he hangs up on me. BTW - their door states the business is open until 6pm. When I get there at 5:20, no one is there. Call the cell phone again and the man who answered gives me attitude about not being to come back on Friday( hi, don't have a car). Tries to tell me that they always close at 5 despite the hours on the door. I go in on Saturday and wow, they are there. The moron owner refunds my card and charges me a 3% fee which he claims is what the credit card company charges him. This by the way is nowhere in the paperwork, nowhere on any signs and is probably a lie. At this point - I'm ready to actually beat this guy with a bat so I decide to just leave rather than get into it. Beware of dealing with this place. They will scam you and screw you over without even blinking and then try to sell you another car while they're doing it. read more

I bought a car from this dealer in January. Obv. it is a used car (no matter what when buying a used car, you are potentially buying someone else problems customers please remember this.( the dealers do not know what they are getting for trade-ins either) As I drove off the lot the brake booster went. I brought it back and they sent it to another mechanic to fix it. The check engine light was on when I bought the car and they promised to fix it. After a few threatening phone calls they did what they were suppose to do, other than reset the god damn light. I can say I was one of the lucky customers but they did put over 400 bucks in the car as they guaranteed the car for 30 days. He held my truck for a month then dumped it in my yard un repaired. Won the suit in court but yet he is appealing it. Dishonest people, rated the car at 4.8 out of 5.0, no any damages noted, but vehicle had cracked windshield and visible underneath damage - tie rod bent and paintwork was done on a front bumper. Would not recommend unless you inspect vehicle yourself before paying for it. read more
