There's a lot of good pizza in this area, but this place beats them all. Yes, even Bizarro, which I think very highly of. Brings my taste buds back to the mob-owned joints in the Northeast in my youth, but that's another story. Suffice to say it's the real deal. This is a great pizza and italian restaurant. The non-pizza menu is fairly small, but they know what they are doing. Last night we had lasagna - I like mine with Alfredo sauce, and they do it great! As of the writing of this review this restaurant has been open less than a week. My wife and I ate in on the second day of business and had a terrific pizza. Crust was crispy, sauce was good, and plenty of cheese. The italian sausage was cooked on the pizza (Chicago style) and was a pleasant surprise as I'm from Chicago and this is the first pizza in the 23 years I've been living here that cooks sausage on the pizza. Had takeout last night and the pizza did not disappoint. Glad to see we've got a good pizza joint around here that approaches a Chicago thin crust style za. read more

I have had the same experience as the others. The first time we ate pizza there it was excellent crisp crust great sauce and cheese. The second time it was terrible. The crust was limp and couldn't hold the sauce and cheese which was greasy and nasty. If they don't get their act together they will not get any pizza business from locals. Food wasn't bad. Our table had pizza, Italian sub and wings. Again, all pretty good. Service was terrible!!! There were probably 3 other tables taken (slow day) and the waitress cut my wife off mid order to go take someone else's order. My brother and I had already order and she interrupted my wife by saying "excuse me I need to go take this guys order." She returned 3-4 mins later as if nothing had happened. I don't usually do reviews but this place has it all awesome food and great staff. I have ordered several different things from pizza to calzones to shrimp scampi and it all has great flavor. About as average as it gets. Lasagna had huge chunks of sausage in it not even bothered to blend up all of the meat, and was barely edible. The "three cheese" calzone lacked 2 of the 3 cheeses, as it was only ricotta cheese and therefore soggy. The calzone also wasn't totally crispy on the outside and just seemed undercooked, and same was true for the less than crunchy bacon on the inside. I think this place is the typical only in business because it's right next to the beach place. If you need a slice of pizza for you and the kids this place is great, but if you want a meal go to Papagallos down the road. read more
