We called Planned Parenthood and explained the situation. They advised that some of their locations currently had a grant where birth control could be obtained at no charge and they gave us the locations. This location is one of them. We set an appointment and family member asked me to go with them. The appointment went great from the time we arrived. There is a full security check here so be prepared for that. It was pretty easy. Once we entered their office an employee assisted us right away. They took patient through all the paperwork and the process. I sat in for a portion of the appointment with the medical professionals and was highly impressed. One of the first things they asked was if the person wanted me in the room - I love this for the patient! The person did want me there, so I stayed. They went through medical history, reason for visit and options. Everyone was thorough with options and effects. Family member was able to obtain birth control on that same day and felt so much relief. At their regular Dr office they had been going to they were told the appt alone could be $250+ and that the birth control could be $1000 or more... If you are hesitant, I would encourage you to visit this location. Every person we encountered was friendly, informative and patient. We felt very comfortable.

When I arrived, I explained that it felt like something was stuck in my throat or airway. I was told - verbatim - that they "wouldn't touch me with a 10-foot pole." That was shocking and unprofessional. Instead of evaluating me, they immediately directed me to the ER. The ER visit ended up costing me $800, where I waited about two hours only to be prescribed amoxicillin - something the urgent care could have easily done themselves. Later, when I saw an ENT, I was told my symptoms were due to acid reflux. My symptoms had already been present for three days, so it clearly was not an emergency airway obstruction. It's frustrating that neither the urgent care nor the ER considered reflux as a possibility before escalating the situation. Being told they "didn't want to take my money" feels ironic, considering I was sent somewhere significantly more expensive for essentially the same level of care. I would not recommend this facility. Patients deserve to feel evaluated and respected - not dismissed.

As I wanted to be seen to have my ears cleaned, I thought it would be easy. The website was a no go, as the staff would have seen me in a week. So I dropped in or walked in as they now allow. In order to keep me working hard and ensure I was strengthening my leg they modified my workout to include blood flow restriction on my legs so I could get the workout that would normally take me pretty heavy weights and a long time to get. Front desk people making unnecessary problems and add on top of problems for patients. They not helpful, don't know what they're doing, and lazy. They need to get retrained or reevaluate for their job positions. It's been going on for way too long, very unacceptable and frustrating.

I came in for my appointment and was taken back immediately but the phlebotomist wasn't very friendly. I wasn't informed about when she was going to stick me and wasn't given the sheet where I was told my vital signs and the number to contact should anything go wrong. When I donate I sometimes get light headed and I did this time. She was prompt at helping me feel better but once I was done I wasn't told about what I need to do afterwards, and like I said before the number to call if anything were to go wrong. I have donated a lot now so I know those things but every time I have donated in the past the phlebotomist has told me what to do after the fact. Everyone has bad days and my overall experience with impact life is good so this was nothing that would detour me from coming back here, but I think in the future I will go to the mobile drives over the donor center. if I do go back to the donor center I'll make sure to update my review!

They never call you with test results or any follow ups. You have to call for them and they want you to make an appointment to get them - so they can get another co-pay. The residents here are amazing along with the loved ones that come to visit. All in all, in my opinion, McKnight Place Extended Care is a top-notch organization!!!!
