Octopus Moving Company met and exceeded all of my expectations. They came out ahead of time to assess how much stuff we had and how many trucks they would need. They showed up at 8 AM on the DOT, exactly when they said they would arrive. They HUSTLED as they loaded that truck, and I never could have imagined it could have been packed so efficiently. They wrapped every single piece of furniture we had carefully. They even wrapped some boxes we labeled as fragile. They meticulously disassembled and reassembled all of our furniture that needed to be broken down. They did all of this in 100+ degree heat! Most amazingly, they were incredibly flexible as our close was delayed 24 hours. They charged us the minimal amount they could have for the extra day that they weren't able to move us (we even insisted they charge us more). They came as soon as they were able to the following day and didn't stop until they finished at 10:30 PM. A few of them even returned the next day to finish up some furniture assembly and even stuck around for another few extra hours to help us with odd jobs. All for a really reasonable price, considering how many hours they put in with that many movers. I give Octopus my highest recommendation! I can't say enough good things about Octopus Moving. I purchased a Peloton treadmill and planned to have it on the second floor in my home office/gym space. Peloton couldn't get the heavy base upstairs due to a turn in the stairs (pretty standard in older New England homes), and their delivery team suggested contacting professional movers to have them bring the base upstairs once the treadmill was redelivered. I contacted 3 moving companies before Octopus - one said they couldn't do it, and 2 more didn't return my call. Octopus was incredibly responsive and up for the task. They were reasonably priced and super communicative. Where they really went above and beyond, though, was with scheduling. My delivery date got moved three times due to supply chain issues and weather cancellations. I felt terrible, but each time, Octopus rolled with the punches and accommodated without issue. The team showed up on time today and was able to move the base upstairs in less than 5 minutes. They were polite and moved quickly. I chose this company after I had already selected a mover because Alex, the owner, in a subsequent conversation, made me feel confident they could do the move safely and more competitively then the other 5 services I talked with. Plus, he provided me a fixed and very competitive price. No add-ons, or 'oh we didn't know abut that', etc. That was very important too me. I provided pictures and CU.SF. estimates to make sure he had sufficient information to quote me. His team showed up on-time, were professional, careful and cleaned up afterwards. I've actually used Octopus moving a few times over the past several years. I was originally looking for someone reliable and affordable and took a chance several years ago without knowing much about them. I was very happy with the original move - they were efficient, responsive, and did a very good job. So next time I moved I used them again and was happy again. I just moved 2 days ago and they moved me from a house to a 2 bedroom apartment and they were great. Once again, efficient, they worked quickly, the rates were affordable and everything was great. I just want to say what a great experience my daughter and I had with my daughters move from Billerica to Worcester. Javier and Richard were prompt, friendly, very accommodating, sweet and patient. The cost of the move was the most reasonable in the area. I am more than satisfied with the treatment we received. The crew arrived on time and was professional and attentive to my belongings in loading the truck. These guys were FAST and priced very competitively with every other service I saw on here. And they didn't judge my grimy old apartment or my (honestly crappy) last-minute packing methods. They just got o work quickly and made things look easy, and moves it all into my new place in under3 hours. I didn't have much stuff to bring, the move still would've taken me all day. On top of all that, they also built my new bed for me after they'd moved my stuff in, which was a huge help in getting settled. We moved on 8/24. Everything was so easy from the first time we requested a quote to the move day. Efinn and his team of two were fantastic! They arrived 30 minutes early and didn't even bat an eye when it took us a little bit of time to figure out where we could park the truck (error on our side). They cranked through our apartment and wrapped all of our furniture with such care ensuring everything was covered and padded. They were efficient, respectful and even asked for the okay to take a water break before doing so (it was so hot that day). We were moving from a 3 story + basement condominium in MA to TX with lots of heavy furniture and Alex and his team worked so hard and made our move so much easier.They were very punctual and also provided us with more than enough packaging materials .Each and every glass shelves of our cabinet were individually wrapped , the furniture, paintings , very heavy mirrors , television were very carefully packed. These guys were absolutely great! I was moving locally, and they took extra care to pack my furniture nicely and use extra padding. At the end of the job, they wanted to make sure I was satisfied and didn't find any scratch marks. I was beyond thrilled with the amount of care they took with my belongings. I used a moving service for the first time in my life. It was definitely worth the price. It's never been so easy. Alexis and Javier were both cool friendly guys who did a great job. We clearly marked everything as either heavy or fragile and they took the utmost care. Honestly if I move again I'm probably going to call back and request them. Nothing broken.
