Love's Seafood is the kind of place that reminds you why Southern coastal dining is so special. Tucked along the Ogeechee River, the setting alone makes it worth the trip--peaceful water views, Spanish moss draped trees, and that easygoing Savannah charm that makes you want to linger. Seafood here is fresh, flavorful, and served in hearty Southern portions. The fried shrimp and oysters are crispy perfection, with just the right seasoning and a golden crunch that doesn't overpower the natural taste of the seafood. Their catfish is another standout--flaky, tender, and full of flavor. If you're in the mood for something indulgent, the Low Country Boil is a must-try: a steaming platter of shrimp, sausage, corn, and potatoes that feels like a true coastal feast. Beyond the seafood, Love's also delivers on classics like hush puppies, baked potatoes, cornbread, all made with the kind of down-home flavor you'd expect from a family-run Southern staple. Service is warm and welcoming, with staff who treat you like a regular whether it's your first visit or your fiftieth. Prices are reasonable considering both the quality and the portions, and the atmosphere is relaxed enough for families but still special enough for a night out. Love's Seafood isn't just a restaurant--it's an experience of Savannah's food culture and hospitality. Whether you're local or just passing through, it's the kind of spot that keeps you coming back for more.

A local recommended this place to us and it was great! It's about a 25 minute drive out of the historic district. Food was fresh and well prepared. Came with a great view and the staff was friendly. We tried the fried green tomatoes, fried shrimp, and catfish. Prices were great for the quality. *I love coleslaw with fried fish but theirs is more like a sweet relish, heads up

OMG, we loved this place! We were on our way north to Maine from Florida, looking for a place to stop for Mother's Day. So we Yelped Love's. Of course they were packed on Mother's Day, but we got seats at the bar right away. Our servers at the bar were great, Jersey and Biddeford (as I call her) such friendly and welcoming service, and the food was great. Warning, the portions are ridiculously large. We will make this a stop on our future Snowbird travels!

My first time here was for Valentine's Day. The Service was great. The ambiance was very romantic for that specific day. We didn't get the water view due to it being super pack but I was very okay with our seating placement. The drinks were 8/10 more water than slushy. The lobster Alfredo was so good the second time. Unfortunately I did have find a piece of hair in my food the first time but the manager came straight to us to apologize and he also made me aware of what was going on with my order the second time they cooked it. The oyster Rockefeller was probably my favorite out of everything.

Discretely located off Hwy 17, along side the Ogeechee River, nestle right up against the Chatham County Wetlands Preserve. For this visit we dined outside, but comfortable inside dining available. Start with spinach artichoke dip & some crispy triangled-shaped chips. Wash it down with your favorite drink from the bar, tap or fountain. Now gorge yourself on stuffed flounder, grilled salmon, ribeye steak, seafood platter, chicken Alfredo, just to name a few; and don't forget your two sides. Friendly service, seafood ambiance. Couple down sides in our visit was long wait for food & long wait on refills. Other than that the food is delicious and the views are beautiful. Enjoy.

Visited for my 2023 birthday. Today visited for Saint Patrick's Day 2024 March 16th. Scored Flounder is always a hit. Lightly Fried Oysters was amazing as well.

It was dimly lit and had a warm, inviting atmosphere and our server was awesome! To start, we all got the cucumber blossom cocktail. I got mine with tequila and the server was very knowledgeable about the drinks and the liquors that would work well with each one. We decided the best route for us was to split 2 apps and 2 entrees. For appetizers, we went with the focaccia and the crispy brussel sprouts. Both were AMAZING! I always love bread to start a meal. And the Brussels were nice and soaked in balsamic glaze, which maybe diminished the "crispy" in the title... but I didn't mind because they were delicious. For our entrees, we went with the gnocchi and the catfish served over grits. I would say the standout was the catfish. The gnocchi was good, but not as good as the other dishes we had. Overall we had a great experience splurging a bit on a nice meal. I would definitely recommend getting a reservation on the weekends. They seemed to be busy!

The refund came through exactly as he said it would. To be clear, the food on my visit genuinely missed, and I'm not pretending otherwise. But Tyler responded publicly, owned it, and followed through completely. That kind of accountability is rare, and it's what earned the bump. Credit where it's due on the space, too -- the ambiance is genuinely great. Warm, candle-lit dining room, an open kitchen, a well-stocked bar, and a covered patio that had a real buzz to it. It's a spot that looks and feels like somewhere you want to be, which is exactly why I'd give the kitchen another shot based on how the owner runs this place. --- Original review (2 stars): Disappointing birthday dinner. Came in for my birthday and left underwhelmed. Our server Troy was the one bright spot -- professional and attentive all night. Caesar salad: Several bitter pieces of lettuce, and no black pepper offered or available. Faroe Island salmon: Overly buttery like it had been sitting under a heat lamp. The shishito cream sauce was way too acidic -- tasted like uncooked wine or vinegar. Crispy rice cakes were bland and a strange pairing (rice blocks with salmon?). The baby bok choy was decent until the sauce drowned it out. Braised beef short rib: Tender but flavorless. The mashed potatoes tasted old, not fresh that evening. To top it off, my wife had arranged ahead of time for the birthday dessert to be brought out -- the message never reached Troy, so that moment never happened. Troy deserved better than what the kitchen sent out.

Very hard not to make it chewy. Great char and sauce that accompanied it. For entrees, we did the Perloo, an amazing interpretation, and a swordfish. Both dishes were immaculately prepared and perfectly sized. We chose a bottle of Loss and Lehn, something we had never tried before but recommended based on what we had ordered.
