First time we tried this place and their drinks blew our taste buds! We really enjoyed Taiwanese tea and they served great quality of teas. The staffs are very welcoming and they really explain each specs of their menu. They have some sample teas upfront for you to try first which I think is a good idea. My husband and I will definitely go back here, a new place for us for a boba fix.

First time having Odd One Out back in Nov'25! Late review! This was so good! Staff was also very friendly. They were patient with me asking a lot of questions. We also didn't specify we needed oat milk in one of the drinks, though did mention lactose intolerance...and when we received drinks and let them know of the milk issue, they were quick to apologize (which also not their fault) and quickly remade the drink. Having Odd One Out prompted us to try the original location in Taiwan in December. Huge fan of the quality of the green tea and the jasmine silk boba! Parking here can be tough, but I believe it is validated in the plaza! (if not free) Even at a premium cost, definitely worth it! Definitely a must stop whenever I'm in LA!

Solid drinks also the locations a bit rough to park at due to it being in LA. Other than that I enjoyed the drinks!

Park in the back of the building in the parking structure labeled for hmart the MaDang Plaza. You should GPS the parking because the gps for the boba takes you to the front of the building and there's no parking there... Very smooth parking lots of spots available. Remember to bring your ticket to get it validated. Once validated you are okay to scan it when leaving you don't need to scan it first at the pay kiosks. The boba shop is on the first floor same as the one that Daiso is on. Walk all the way opposite of Daiso though it's at the front of the building. If you see the bakery you are close keep walking. There's a self order kiosk and you can order with an employee. I opted to order with the employee and get her recommendations since it was my first time she was very nice. I got two drinks the champion boba tea and yuzu osmanthus. Loved the yuzu drink it was so refreshing and different from other drinks I've had at other boba shops. Overall I would recommend and would come back if in the area!

We came here to try a new boba spot after dinner. It was really interesting to see the different types of boba on the menu like shiso silk and jasmine silk for example. My friend got the Emerald Spring, and I got the yuzu osmanthus tea. She liked her tea, but I personally thought mine was too sweet and syrupy even at a 50% sugar level, which is normally perfect. Even if I had gotten less sugar, I don't think the flavor profile was for me.

This hole-in-the-wall spot has artisan teas and one-of-a-kind toppings. Their golden Buddha with handmade silk boba and champion milk tea are highlighted as award-winning drinks back in Taiwan. I tried their golden Buddha oolong milk tea with jasmine silk boba. The silk boba is truly unique and has a very satisfying texture. The floral notes of jasmine also came through with each bite of boba. They also have a winter melon silk boba flavor to try too. I ordered quickly at a self-service kiosk, and the drink came out fast. I was happy to see that they'd lowered prices since the last time I came here a couple months ago. I remember it used to be $10 for one drink, but now it's $7.50 which feels more reasonable for boba.

Jennifer helped me out today and not only was the tea she recommended so tasty but her willingness to answer all my questions was much appreciated. Came for the tea and will return due to the great customer service!

Don't get me wrong, I am a big fan of OOO. I have gone to their original location in Sawtelle, and I am a regular at the Pasadena location. I love their drinks. Icy Peak, Golden Buddha Silk, or Wintermelon and my usual go-to, Hokkaido Soba. My recent experience was horrendous. I had the biggest craving for boba, and since I was in Silverlake at my fiancé's place, OOO was the only decent boba I could DoorDash from. We waited forever and got the drink only to find out there is a fruit fly inside my drink, literally floating on top. Yuck. The drink was sealed, so it is indeed from the shop. Now I am going to spend some good time observing my drink before I consume it. I still go to OOO because it is the best option I have when I am in Silverlake, but like I said, I look at my drink thoroughly before I start drinking it.

I first tried Odd One Out in Sawtelle and was delighted to see another location here in MaDang Courtyard. The drinks are consistent amongst both, and I tried their Yuzu Osmanthus with less ice and less sugar. Arguably even at this adjustment, it was still a tad too sweet. Their jasmine silk boba though? Amazing! The staff were friendly and knowledgeable about each drink. I tried all three samples and even their mochi, though eventually settled on the Yuzu Osmanthus. Overall vibes inside? Think bright, refreshing, clean! Parking validation? Super easy! At first, I was a bit spooked by the camera; then, I realized it was for parking validation (2 hrs) - yay! After picking up drinks, there are several wooden benches along the wall to sit at as well as ample seating in the patio and courtyard... enjoy!

One of my go to spots for a drink with strong tea flavor. I would say their drink at their Pasadena branch does taste a bit better, but it was still overall a really good drink! I got their Champion Milk Tea and their Yuzu Osmanthus Silk Boba. The Champion milk tea has a strong vibrant oolong tea flavor that compliments well with their cream foam. The Yuzu Osmanthus is very unique, not too floral or too citrus, and definitely a drink you don't find elsewhere! Their silk boba is tea jelly that is just lightly flavored so it doesn't overpower the actual drink itself. This shop is located within the Madang plaza and does offer validated parking! Staff were friendly and nice, and there are samples to try if you're unsure about the taste. There's limited seating indoors the store but it doesn't get too busy!

Boba was pretty average. Nothing special. Tea itself was fine but also nothing special. Would've tried something else next time.

I finally had the chance to try odd one out last night and i got their golden buddha with jasmine silk boba. i was pretty disappointed by their drink as the milk tea had almost no tea flavor at all. it was extremely light and definitely didn't taste like metal buddha at all. The only thing i rlly liked about the drink was the jasmine silk boba. it was chewy and had a nice flavor they are able to validate for parking too!

Been meaning to try out Odd One Out for a while now, and wowow I was not disappointed! Coming from the SGV with boba everywhere, it's a true testament to their quality as Odd One Out made its way to the top of my list now. Upon entering, the cashier offered us samples of their Champion Milk Tea (red oolong milk tea) and Buddha Milk Tea. I opted for their Champion milk tea, perfect sugar, with their Jasmine Tea Silk Boba for my topping. The milk tea was so creamy and you can really taste the depth and fragrance of the tea. Their silk boba is similar to Torotea's, where the consistency is less chewy than boba but with a more substantial mouthfeel as the size is bigger than standard jelly. You can really taste the jasmine tea in the jelly, and I can't wait to try their wintermelon silk boba next. The drink was the perfect amount of sweetness for me, which is defaulted to 50%. I love that their menu notes where each tea is from, such as the different regions of Taiwan, where their tea primary comes from. I love strong teas, and the teas here are authentic and organic. Their drinks are on the pricier end, but worth the splurge in my opinion for the amazing quality. For my large drink with silk boba, I paid a bit more than $10. The shop is very clean and there are 2 benches to sit at, but otherwise no tables.

Awards they earned for their teas!

This is a tea-forward spot that makes all ingredients and toppings fresh from scratch daily. Their most well-known unique topping is the barley popping boba. They use a real-chewy highland barley grain that gives off a nutty, earthy and milkdly sweet pop that makes for a unique texture. The fan-favorite drink is the Mochi Barley Burst which pairs a floral black milk tea with the popping barley and fresh handcrafted mochi. The tea does not have any artificial syrups and uses an organic milk with a bold tea base. The handcrafted mochi is super fun to have with the popping barley because it is pillowy and velvety. Make sure to mix it well together, so you can enjoy the whole drink for all its features. I like the ambiance of the shop. It's a smaller shop with some seating area. You order your drink at the self-service station. There's quite a few staff working to make the drinks, so we got our drinks in less than 10 minutes. I adore 3CAT and I would highly recommend visiting if you haven't already!

The store itself is on the smaller side, with only a few chairs and seating options available. They offer both a self-serve kiosk for quick ordering and a front register if you have questions or prefer ordering with staff assistance. Yi Fang is best known for their fruit teas, which are considered their specialty.
