The restaurant is lovely, and beautifully decorated. We had a party of 13 with a reservation, and in my opinion we were smooshed in to a space that would seat ten comfortably. It was very crowded for a dinner with a client. We were 50/50 client and my company, space would have been welcomed. The appetizers were good: calamari, oysters, ahi tacos. I had a filet for dinner, and while a nice cut steak, it was more medium than medium rare. It was still delicious, don't get me wrong! The strawberry shortcake trifle was outstanding. Nice selection of wine and bourbons, plus cocktails for those who partake. The only issue aside from the lack of space was with the service, honestly. It felt almost, combative. Our server was not overly kind, or forthcoming with recommendations. I know a business group of 13 can be a lot, but the job is to smile and handle it. I was relieved they sent over someone to help prebus and fill water, because it was getting behind. Overall, I would return again, maybe with a smaller group, maybe insisting on the larger space? read more

Very beautiful views of the Delaware River. We ordered the pierogie appetizer. It was hot , fresh and delicious! Perfect for a chilly early evening! The server recommended the lobster entrees and I chose that. It was very delicious. It came with some charming little potatoes. Everything was magnificent. Service is excellent. I love the George Nakashima table and Fern Coppedge painting upon entering. It is so perfectly BucksCounty. I do like this place. read more

been here before when food was expensive but good. it's now expensive mediocre wedding food. maybe it was a slow wed night and nobody was paying attention? service and ambiance is great at Odettes and the hotel in general. So it's ok to charge a premium for that, especially in new hope. But come on guys....you can do better than the generic food you are serving. One easy example....chicken Milanese...a few crumbles of bland parm.....maybe a tablespoon of arugula....just a fried cutlet on a plate with a few cherry tomatoes. sad. this place needs a new chef read more

This pricey dinner was in celebration of a family event. Appetizer was a dozen oysters, shared with my partner, followed by Caesar salads. Both were delicious. Hubby ordered to sue steak which was perfectly cooked and served with mashed potatoes and asparagus. He felt the steak was very good. My entree was Lobster and Scallops served with penne and a sauce. The scallops were not seared though sitting atop the pasta. The lobster had the salty, spongy qualities of frozen lobster and was not pleasant to eat. The sauce was not to my liking with an off smell while lacking the richness of a lobster stock base. I was disappointed as this dish cost $59. Service was friendly, by I suggest you stick to basic steakhouse preparations. read more

From the bacon and calamari appetizers to my cooked to perfection salmon teriyaki.... Delicious! The cannoli, chocolate cake and carrot cake trio was shared! Decadent and delicious! I had brunch lunch with childhood friends from East Mt. Airy today. The River House at Odette's has been my must-do dining experience for the past two summers. I like to frequent New Hope because it was a trip my late Mom enjoyed as an adventure for her children, not too far from Northwest Philly. Bella, our server, provided the friendly experience I've come to know dining here. My childhood friends all thought my choice of Odette's was an excellent dining experience, especially Bella's attention to detail. We enjoyed the delicious Eggs Benedict with Steak and yummy Lobster rolls and shared the superb Death Chocolate Cake while enjoying the cool breeze from the Delaware River. Happy hour was one of the nicest. Of course beautiful views which is one of the main reason to come here. Free valet parking during the week! That was a bonus surprise. Happy hour menu had great selection of food and drinks. It is a very good way to enjoy Odette's without breaking the bank. The restaurant/bar is stunning and comfortable. I was visiting a close family friend, who lives in Bucks County and we decided to go to Odette's for dinner. I had never been here before, but she raved about the outdoor seating that overlooks the river and is ideal in the warmer months. Additionally, there is plenty of parking here, which is pretty rare for New Hope according to her. We were seated towards the center of the main portion of the restaurant. I started with the caesar salad, which was pretty solid. Not the best I have ever had, but it was well above average. The lettuce was fresh and the dressing was flavorful. My entree was the scallops. I got six scallops - they could have been a bit firmer, but still pretty good. Our waiter was a nice guy and knew one member of our party because they are a regular, but dealing with him was a bit confusing at times. He did not understand what I was saying when saying I wanted a side salad and a salad for my meal's appetizer. Also, he forgot to bring out one person's salad with everyone else's appetizers. Altogether, Odette's serves tasty food in a very nice environment. read more

The River House at Odette's - Hotel & Restaurant We had the most incredible experience at Odette's, thanks to winning a raffle for a complimentary stay through the Music Mountain Theatre Gala. From start to finish, everything about our visit felt special and celebratory. The hotel itself is stunning. Our room was elegant, modern, and comfortable, with thoughtful details that made us feel pampered. The highlight was our private balcony overlooking the Delaware River--the perfect spot to relax, sip a drink, and watch the sunset. The staff was warm, professional, and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. For dinner, we enjoyed the Odette's restaurant, which was just as impressive. We started with craft cocktails (my espresso martini was perfectly balanced) and shared crisp Caesar salads with warm bread and two wonderful olive oil dips. For entrées, we ordered the vegan gnocchi and the chicken Milanese--both equally delicious and beautifully prepared, so much so that we swapped plates halfway through to savor both dishes. Dessert was a celebration in itself. We ordered the brownie and chocolate cake, and since we were celebrating our anniversary, the staff surprised us with a decadent chocolate cupcake as well. Paired with coffee and a silky espresso martini, it was the perfect ending to an unforgettable meal. Odette's exceeded our expectations on every level--luxury, comfort, service, and cuisine. Ate breakfast here a few times during a recent stay and found it to be really solid. Tried the omelette, prosciutto benedict and crab cake benedict and all were above average. I especially appreciated the crispy prosciutto and lemony hollandaise on the benedict. One thing this place does exceptionally is their potatoes. Both the breakfast potatoes and french fries here are literally some of the best I've ever eaten. They really hit with a few drinks in you while sitting at the bar. Ambiance is really nice here. Beautiful views of the water with a backdrop of changing leaves in the fall. Service got the job done, but they were not overly friendly either. It also took quite a bit of time for our food to come out on multiple occasions. Didn't try the lunch or dinner food, but it all looked above average at the other tables. A hotel restaurant like this could be much worse. I enjoyed this spot for what it is. read more

The server was a good server but she had all these face piercings that really turned me off considering the classy impression this resturant wants to convey. Beautiful place and the water. We had the Tomahawk for 2 with crab Oscar topper. The steak was tender and cooked perfectly. We ordered mashed potatoes and asparagus as our sides. They had an extensive wine list to which we ordered a bottle of red blend. For dinner we ordered the Elvis brownie. Our server was excellent and even placed a candle in the brownie once he realized it was my birthday. He brought us two glasses of champagne to celebrate as well. I can't wait to check this place out during the warmer weather and see the sunset over the water. I highly recommend this place for a special occasion or date night. read more

I have been to Odette's at least 30 times since it's opened. My experience is usually wonderful, food is always well prepared, service is prompt, and professional. Today, I went in after a walk up the canal path, with a detour over the bridge at waterworks since the path is closed. What should have been a lobster roll and a cold beer. Turned into a reason to think twice before going back. The bartender was rude, inattentive and condescending. When asked for what bottle beers were available, she three times mentioned the drafts as if she couldn't hear me. After I tried to defuse by asking for a club soda.... She ignored us for 10 minutes. When she came back to us she asked if we wanted to order. I asked for a menu.. to witch (pun intended) she made a dramatic display of going to the hostess stand to get two menus, and drop themed both to my friend. At this point tired of tone, and attitude we chose to leave. Will never sit at that bar again if she is there. read more

We were really looking forward to this dinner. Arrived on time, reservation, valet parking. We were placed at a table on the porch, overlooking the Delaware. Had to wait about 10 min but no big deal. Busy place. Food was excellent but waited for a while to get served. The waitress was abrasive, even after we made attempts at conversation and small talk. My wife and I had a wonderful dinner here celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary. The food was very good. My wife had a shrimp dish and I had the scallops. Both were excellent. The service was also very good. We had a really attentive server. As for the restaurant decor, we found it really nice. We wanted to sit outside but unfortunately it was pouring rain and we didn't want to chance it. But they did seat us next to the window so we could watch river. While the food here is decent, the service alone takes two full stars off. We booked a month in advance, yet when we arrived, the hostess couldn't initially find our reservation. She then wandered off to the other end of the restaurant to look for a table before finally coming back to get us. Once seated, we were completely ignored for 25 minutes. The waiter assigned to the tables on either side of us walked past at least four times and never acknowledged us. We eventually had to flag someone down, who went to speak to the same waiter. We could see him shrug his shoulders as if we were not his problem. It was incredibly unprofessional and uncomfortable to watch. Only after that did someone else finally come to take our order. My steak benedict was slightly undercooked. The other brunch food was average. For dessert, we ordered a dish that clearly listed cake and ice cream on the menu. It arrived without the ice cream. When we questioned it, the waitress looked genuinely shocked and said they don't carry ice cream. Then why is it on the menu? It was Valentine's Day, and the service almost ruined what should have been a special lunch. I did not expect a place like Odette's to have mannerless, inexperienced staff. Come here for the views. But do not expect high-end restaurant service. read more

Let me start by saying that i think Odette's is one of the nicest restaurants in New Hope in terms of location, ambiance and overall cozy feel. A great place to spend time with the family, especially during the holidays. Was very thankful that we could confirm a same day reservation for 8 people and think the person taking our reservation deserves a gold star, as she called us back when a table opened after telling us the restaurant was full. Upon sitting, our server was very kind and accommodating. First round of drinks were a bit of a let down as the dirty martini's were close to room temp. And did not have olives, which i thought was strange. Completely understand the temp or drinks as the restaurant was packed and we were a large group. Not garnishing a martini, in my opinion, is a lack of attention to detail from the bar. Bread and butter was solid and the server took pride in the fact that they are baked in-house. Here are my thoughts on what we ordered: Raw clams were poorly shucked and lacked taste. In my opinion, (and could be wrong) tasted frozen, not fresh as they were missing the salty brine I expect from a clam. Who know's, could be that it's 12 degrees outside and the clams couldn't escape the winter freeze. Clams Casino had a nice panko crust and the bacon had a great smoked flavor. In my opinion the clam in this dish was again a let down as it was too small to notice and had no flavor. Greek salad was clearly an added side. Not much thought put into this. 18 ounce ribeye ordered medium rare. Internal temperature was nailed. Perfection. The exterior sear went past the Maillard reaction point. The burnt exterior took away from the interior that was cooked to perfection. Pom puree had a nice presentation and overall tasted good. Asparagus was not trimmed properly and needed to be cooked longer as it was nearly raw The pork chop had a nice brine, and was extremely tender. This was the fan favorite. I highly recommend that you order this dish. Overall staff and restaurant are great and we will be back. Just need to fine-tune a few things. read more

I have been here a couple times for weekend brunch and came on a Friday at 4pm for "lunch" this time (served until 5pm according to their website). The food was decent but overpriced and the ambiance is very nice. The service was pretty terrible and the main focus of my review. We are seated and when our waitress arrives she seems odd and unwelcoming and says "they sat you here? oh well I guess you're my table..." Then she sees we have lunch menus and proceeds to tell us that she isn't sure if it's lunch or dinner and needs to check with a manager. Comes back and still isn't sure and has to go ask someone else. In the meantime, another waiter comes over very friendly and asks if anyone has taken care of us and introduces himself to us as our waiter. While he's speaking the first waitress comes back, saying we are her table and they debate for a few moments on whose table it is. It's hers apparently. We've finally been told it's still lunch and we order. The rest of service is just awkward, I don't know how else to describe it. Like they handed us dishes awkwardly and cleared the table before all the guests were finished, all while not being very friendly. Most of the wait staff and runners/bussers just seemed rude and very inexperienced. I am not a very demanding guest either. I just expect to feel welcomed and comfortable at a restaurant, especially at this price point. read more

Great time at Easter brunch. Seated outside with a priceless view of the water. The ambiance was tops with everyone dressed to the nines for Easter Sunday and the staff as always welcoming, accommodating, and hip as well as kind. The food stations were superlative. Endless cape may oysters and fresh shrimp cooked two ways. An omelet station, beautiful smoked and cooked salmon, a well appointed roast with a splendor of fresh vegetables. Beautiful fruits cheeses breads pastries and a whole bar full of desserts made in house. It was certainly an epic brunch but still managed a relaxed and elegant vibe. I'm probably overlooking a plethora of options such as the more traditional breakfast meats et al but you get the picture! read more

I had been waiting for an excuse to come to Odette's since I know it is on the fancier side, so my birthday was the perfect time to try it Everything I ate was amazing! They make so many things in house including their pear juice for their cocktails and their own HAND MADE icecream It was incredible. You must try the peanut butter cheesecake and mint chocolate chip icecream! On top of all of this there was a violinist playing pop music, so I felt like I was in a Bridgerton episodeAnd they even brought me a complimentary birthday cupcake!! It was such a nice gesture. I came here expecting a pleasant dinner, but what I got was two hours of frustration wrapped around a decent meal. The starters, fried calamari and tuna tacos, were genuinely good, fresh, and flavorful. The crab cakes I had for my entrée were also solid, well-seasoned, and cooked just right. Unfortunately, that's where the compliments end. The service was excruciatingly slow from the start, and as the night went on, it only got worse. Somehow, as the restaurant emptied out, the service managed to get slower. It took nearly two hours to get through what should have been a straightforward dinner. By the time the entrées finally arrived, I didn't even bother ordering dessert. I wasn't willing to risk waiting another 45 minutes for it. To top it all off, when I asked to have my leftovers packed up, the boy handling it only packaged my crab cakes. None of the sides that came with them. So not only did I pay for food I didn't get to eat, but I watched it get wasted because of sheer carelessness. The kitchen clearly knows what it's doing, but the front-of-house is a disaster. The food deserves better service and so do the guests. We might give this place one more chance in the hope that this was just an off night, but if things don't improve, it'll definitely be our last visit. read more

Had a very nice brunch here. For starters beautiful space along the river with great views of your lucky enough to have a window seat. We stared with three cocktails Bloody Mary, dirty chai , and an autumn mule. All were boozy and garnished beautifully. The brunch menu has some breakfast and lunch options for every palate, budget and size. They also have a flight of pancakes which gives you a sampling of the different flavors they offer. We asked the waiter what the most popular items on the menu were and he said the "bennys". We ordered the crab benny, a filet mignon French dip , and river house Benedict. The Benedict's were presented well and served warm with a generous portion of breakfast potatoes. The crab cake was full of crab meat and not just breading. The river house was served with prosciutto instead of traditional ham giving a saltier taste to the dish. We ordered the French toast as a share plate for the table and agreed that was the star of the show. The sweet flavors and well done presentation made the dish delish. The filet mignon French dip had the option of fries and side salad opted for the fries ... the fries were coated and delicious. The French dip has rough thick slices of filet mignon on a baguette served with horseradish cream sauce and au jus. This was a different take with tender meat and I liked the upgrade. We made a reservation online for brunch but there were never more than 3 parties in the restaurant at any given time. Perhaps it's not too popular yet. You must try this spot if you're traveling through New Hope and need a new spot. It's prettier than the average restaurant in New Hope and definitely better quality. There are three reasons for the 4 not 5 stars because it's all about the packaging. This is in a hotel lobby when you get there you are obligated to use valet parking. They don't offer a self parking option. This was an extra expense and annoyance that wasn't necessary, the empty restaurant is always an apprehension, lastly the price point is higher than average brunch. It was more elevated space so expect that going in. 171.00 for 3 people all in including gratuity ... add 5.00 for valet and a tip to the valet. Overall we would return given the quality of the food and the good service. Hoping it becomes an option for others and catches on! read more

Decided to try Odettes for our anniversary. It was a beautiful Tuesday so not crowded and we sat on the outside area over looking the water. A little pricey as expected but the food was good - I wasn't blown away but everything was tasty. I had the Halibut, it was delicious on its own, but it came with a sauce, I found it weird that they plated it on the opposite side of the fish under the potatoes which made it hard to eat together but that was just my observation. My only complaint would be the staff. I felt like everyone we encountered wasn't knowledgeable about the menu. Any question I asked they didn't know the answer to (and I was just asking basic questions) and even when the food runner brought out our dishes they didn't even know what was on the plate. Def something they should work on to better educate servers and food staff about. read more

Christmas is a great time of year to visit Odette's. You'll especially get great service if the weather is bad, as there will be fewer diners. This is a second review of Odettes. I had previously written about the poor service etc. In a return visit to stay over we gave the restaurant a second chance and were rewarded with good service plus an excellent meal. Try the salmon lyon and the duo-filet plus lobster and you will be satisfied. Their onion rings were fabulous. We also stayed for breakfast this time and it was excellent. Odette's is one of the reasons we moved to the area all the way from Los Angeles. We stayed here summer of 2022. We didn't dine in during that stay, so we came here for our anniversary dinner after our first 6 months as PA residents. The staff is fantastic. The food is very good. The ambiance is timeless contemporary. We ate outside and highly recommend requesting an outdoor table. Inside there is almost always live music. I watched someone at the bar buy and bring the piano man a drink. Impeccable vibes. Odette's is one of the best spots in New Hope to eat and to stay. There are a lot of harsh reviews that I find to be unfair and tasteless. The truth is that Odette's is the best of the best. We'll be back very soon! read more

Nice atmosphere, our server was nice, we ordered the special appetizer the long hots which were very tasty, Caesar salad dressing was very good, slightly over dressed but I wasn't mad about it. My friend ordered the filet French dip and it was amazing loads of meat and the cheese and bun were perfect. I got the halibut it was dry and the sauce was a bit too sweet. Went to Odette's for our anniversary. The atmosphere and ambiance of this restaurant are excellent! High ceilings, comfortable, clean, dark colors, spacious, casual+ bordering on formal which we appreciate. It's nice to dress up and the clientele seems to agree. The views of the Delaware river are quite nice, the spacing between tables is great. You never feel like you are part of someone else's conversation nor are you bumping up against other people. The wine selection is excellent, priced appropriately (opinion), large and geographically diverse. It seems to bill itself as a stakehouse but we wanted to try their different fare having just had steak. The appetizers - clams casino and buffalo shrimp were both well prepared and presented except perhaps a little too much bed of blue cheese dressing for the shrimp (although the blu cheese chunks were large and excellent! Stilton I think...). The mains - my wife had a large greek salad which was fresh and well proportioned between the ingredients, perhaps a little heavy on the feta cheese. I didn't try it but should have asked if it was goat cheese based feta (the best kind). My veal parm with home made linguini was excellent! Not dry, not greasy, not overloaded with cheese. the tomato sauce was excellent! Fresh tasting, chunks of tomato (no peels thank you) with just a lite amount of seasoning was excellent. The bottle of sparkling wine from France (a Rose) was served appropriately and kept in a chilled container off to the side of the table and the staff were attentive to refill our glasses. We shared a dessert - dark and white chocolate mousse cake and the plate came out with Happy Anniversary written in chocolate. They gave us two complimentary glasses of champagne with a raspberry in each glass. All around a great experience - the staff from the hostess to the servers. Never rushed at all through the meal, well taken care of. Great food! Valet parking (complimentary) was very nice. Why no 5th star? Perfection is hard to achieve. I think the shrimp appetizer could have been a little better presented - too much dressing, but thankfully it was not poured over the shrimp. We will definitely go back and try other dishes. I expect they'll earn that 5th star given our experience. Highly recommended! (Also - bathrooms appeared very clean, spacious, and it looks like you can reserve part of the restaurant for large events. That space looked very nice!
