I've eaten from the first location on Tamarin several times and was excited about the new location on 4065 Haverhill Road, Suite B1, West Palm Beach, and all I can say is that this is the best barbecue spot by far. We decided to try Off Tha Bone after driving by recently, having not realized it just recently opened at this location. We were really impressed! It was a quarter till 9pm and we were a little hesitant to try getting bbq so late. We walked in and we're greeted warmly by the folks running the place. It's a takeout-only place with a small ordering room and some chairs and a tv. We ordered a family meal of a full rack of ribs, which came with 2 sides and cornbread. We opted for collard greens and baked beans. We waited only a couple minutes and the food was ready. We took it home and it smelled so good we couldn't wait to dig in. The ribs were excellent! Well smoked, cooked just right and seasoned well. They really didn't require any sauce, but there was some on the side for us to try. They have a regular sauce and a mustard based one as well. The collards are really good and the beans are sweet with a pronounced cinnamon component. We loved every part of the meal and will certainly be back for more. 08/30/2024- I have always gone to Miami for great Bbq , but Ever since I found this place I have been in love with the food. My co-worker who is Hispanic and who has never had food outside of her culture even loves it. I have been to both locations and both are great, but on 08/30/2024 I order my food over the phone and when I got there I am always greeted politely by the young-man that takes your order. I decide to buy additional food when I got there. He told me to go wait in the car and he would bring it right out to me when it is ready. I go back to my car and it would not start. I went back into the restaurant and ask the nice young-man did anybody had jumper cables. He said "let me ask my boss". Before I can get back to my car the boss /owner was pulling next to my car to give me a jump (not to mention he was cooking in the back, that famous bbq) he dropped it all to help me with my car. I could not believe the kindness. He "said what sort of person, would I be if I let you come into my establishment and buy food and will not give you a helping hand and I have a mother and a sister and most I am a man" I do what men should do....wow wow. Really good BBQ, Memphis style. I got the rib dinner... comes with a half slab, two sides, and corn bread. I got the sauce hot for the ribs (Not that hot) beans, collard greens. The ribs where hot, you can tell it just came out of the smoker. cooked perfectly. Tender, but not to the point that it was falling apart. The sauce had a sweet taste to it, lots of honey in the sauce. It was the right amount on the ribs, good balance between hot and sweet. Neither was over powering. The collard greens was perfect, hot, tasty. It wasn't over vinegar taste, or over salted. Soft, and pretty good portion. Beans was perfect, not over sauced, or really soft (Mushy) it was good. Corn Bread was moist, you can taste the butter in it as well. Decent size piece too. Its hard to find a good BBQ place around here, and for Memphis style, it was definitely Memphis style. Tasty BBQ! I've been telling my friend I've been craving some good collard greens and since I was going to be in the WPB area, I wanted to see what they had to offer. I ordered their half rack of ribs, large order of greens, Mac, & corn bread. The girl at the counter asked what sauces I'd like and I opted for their mustard and sweet sauce. It took about 10-15 minutes for it to be ready and I was anxious to dive in. I ended up having to drive north about an hour and a half before eating it with family and the aroma of the BBQ was really messing with my senses. When I was able to finally eat, I didn't even have time to take a picture! I devoured the dish! The Mac n cheese was some of the best I had from a restaurant; seasoned, not too watery, and great pasta and cheese ratio. The greens were so tender and had a little kick to them! This is a total Yelp FIND! If you want real southern barbecue along with house made side dishes that almost steal the show, you need to get yourself to "Off the Bone!" Good take out for lunch. Stopped by here for lunch before going to work. It's a small spot on a pretty busy corner. The staff is pretty friendly and funny. They recommended a couple of selections and even some of their special sauces. They even allowed me to sample them. I got my usual of chicken, Piegon peas and rice, and greens with some tea. I took it back to my room and it was still hot when I got there. Great meal even though I asked for piegon peas and rice but got Mac and cheese instead. The tea was "diabetic sweet" and good. Great place when visiting. Little hole in the walls are the best places to stop by and when you have staff and owners who are super friendly makes the trip just more worth it. Mac n cheese was good. I was expecting some amazing homemade food and was bummed out. They were super nice, but the food wasn't good. I ordered a rib sandwich and two sides but they gave me just ribs and the sides. I didn't even care about that.. the hot-bbq sauce on the ribs was just like a normal sweet and sour sauce from an Asian restaurant. The ribs tasted like they were pork spare ribs from an Asian joint. Baked beans were straight out of a can 100%. Collard's were pretty good. Potato salad was really good. Pulled pork my friend got was super soggy and sloppy joe-ish. I love this down home BBQ shack! Every time I come in, I'm greeted with nice big smiles and I appreciate that. I've been getting my ribs here, ever since they were in their food truck. They've grown in all aspects: menu, location, merchandise. The taste of food is consistently great and the customer service is on par (the owner Daniel, knows me by first name now lol). The sweet tea is diabetic, the collard greens are made with a delicious smoked meat (I can't remember if its pork or turkey meat though), and the baked macaroni is to die for! This place is amazing! Not only is their food delicious, made fresh daily, and seasoned to perfection, they're also a stand up established. I had a delivery driver steal my food, and they were able to resolve the issue quickly while keeping me involved in the resolution. This place is about 15 miles from my house and I will always drive the extra mile to get these ribs I'll also always pay an extra delivery charge to have these ribs brought to me.
