    Chicken dinner and sides
    Christa M.

We ordered online for pickup- two chicken dinners, with Mac and collard greens. We ordered extra side of baked beans, potato salad, and cornbread. EVERY part of the meal was absolutely delicious! The food was hot and ready at pickup time, staff was super friendly. Chicken literally fell off the bone, was moist and had great flavor. Everything was seasoned to literal perfection and the portions were more than generous. Will definitely be back

I haven't been here in a minute for breakfast but this morning I wanted a real breakfast so I decided to stop by!!! This plate NEVER disappoints! I was there for about 30 minutes....not waiting on my food though. I was in there catching up on life with "family"! Forever grateful for this spot and the people in it!!!!

Love loved the BBQ here. We have been looking for a good BBQ spot. Came across this location in our hunt. Was not disappointed. The rib was juicy and tender. The pull pork was delicious and juicy. Everything was delicious and wonderful. Again no disappointment here. Will be going back for the Grandmas Smothered pork chops very soon.

    Yummy road snack!

Amazing find driving to MIA. Quick, messily delicious and worth every penny and mile to get there!! Sad they didn't have pulled pork but the food was so darn good I can see why they ran out!! This is a must try!

These ribs do fall off da bone they are so tender! They are also delicious. Don't get the hot rib sauce if you can't handle hot. Delicious.

GREAT ribs and mac 'n cheese, but the collards were very salty. Their rib's are like McCray's used to be when they only had the truck.

It quickly became clear why the drinks receive high praise! They were indeed delightful and well crafted. However, my experience with the food left much to be desired. We ordered the Brussels sprouts, which were topped with a creamy sauce. Unfortunately, the dish did not meet expectations, falling short in flavor and presentation. I would rate them a mere two out of ten. Additionally, we tried the oysters, which were disappointingly bland. Even with various toppings, they lacked the fresh vibrant taste one hopes for when enjoying oysters. Regrettably, both dishes missed the mark for me so I decided not to order more food and go somewhere else. On a positive note, our server was exceptional friendly, attentive, and accommodating, which helped enhance our overall experience. The restaurant's ambiance was mature and inviting and its location is indeed impressive. Despite the high ratings and popularity, I found the food lacking, which makes me hesitant to return. While I appreciate the quality of the drinks and the warmth of the service, the culinary offerings did not live up to the hype considering the basic dishes I ordered. Go for drinks only!

We were warmly greeted on entering. They were pretty busy the whole time we were there. You can tell they get a lot of "regulars". The menu is large: lots of breakfast and lunch options. With a huge blackboard on the wall with daily specials listed. Service was wonderful, also. Attentive and caring. My husband ordered the meatloaf dinner with mashed potatoes and broccoli. He got gravy on the side. I'm guessing he liked it as there was not a crumb left on his plate when done. I ordered the chicken pot pie from the daily specials board. It wasn't as expected, but quite good. The top "crust" of the "pie" (served in a long oval dish) was a few layers of filo dough. Underneath were a lot of nice chunks of white meat chicken, peas, and other veggies. All in a cream of chicken like sauce that was very good. Forgot to mention that the pot pie came with a cup of soup. There were three choices and I got the Greek lemon soup. It needed an extra squeeze of lemon and a dash of salt, but it was decent. For dessert, we wanted to try their coconut cake, but they were out. (They close at 3). We settled for sharing a slice of some warm apple pie with whipped cream on the side. The pie was good. Breakfast specials look great. And there are a lot of other lunch items I'd like to try here as well. This is a keeper.

The staff were absolutely wonderful via phone and email addressing my questions and concerns. Upon arrival I was astonished at how cute this place was. The outside hostess directed me to the inside host. I immediately saw some of my guest at a lovely long table set up in the back center. Our attentive waiter came over to bring us menus. Unfortunately most of my guests got caught up in the torrential downpour and were running behind. The waiter assured me that we were quite alright to wait if we preferred. I decided to start with a cocktail. The testa Rossa was recommended. I ended up giving it to my husband as it was rather strong and I did not taste watermelon nor coconut. I went with the second recommendation of the strawberry bliss. Another strong drink which the gin overpowered the other flavors. I may skip the cocktails if I come back as I did not fancy either of the ones I tasted. I tried some of Lisa's sunflower seed toast which came with the cutest set up of butter and delicious apricot and strawberry jam. For my lunch I decided on the Cacio de Pepe which was cheesily delicious and transported me back to Rome. Now for the star of the show, the Principessa which was probably the best cakes I've ever had. Each bite is so light with subtle lemon, vanilla and whipped cream, it practically melts in your mouth. I washed down the cake with a cappuccino Viennese. On my way out I took the time to walk over to the dessert and pastries counter where I spied my next selection for my next visit. The lobster pasta had "homemade shells"- they tasted no different from a box pasta- and the pasta itself was VERY fishy. I only ate half and had a stomachache after. Would NOT return here for dinner; overpriced for sub-par food.
