    Loved my Caprese Salad!
    Alden C.

I went to Off The Rails Brewing while on my way to see the Craters if the Moon National Monument. I grabbed a lunch here and got a beer. I had the Karwendel Kolsch which I thought was just okay. I have had better as far as Kolschs go but it was fine in a pinch. Flavor highlights with this beer were was a bit of a biscuity flavor and was smooth in texture. I liked the food quite a bit more. I like to eat light when on a long, summery hot car trip and looked at their salad menu. I got the Caboose Caprese Salad which I really enjoyed. I love anything Caprese and this was no exception. The sliced mozzarella, tomatoes, basil and balsamic vinegar were great and made to be a nice, light meal as the portion was not large. This brewery is situated right downtown Pocatello and so in addition to lunch you can also do some shopping and all the perks of being in a downtown location.

I did not expect to find a restaurant like this in Pocatello. My kids love trains so we sat on the back patio and watched the trains pass. The blueberry lemonade and bottled root beer were perfect for our beverages. Battleship burger, Pineapple Express sandwich, peddler pasta... all were uniquely delicious. We tried cheese curds, onion rings and sweet potato fries. Needless to say the food was great and ambiance couldn't be beat! We will come back next time we are in Pocatello.

Ok so this sandwich was made all fresh and there and you could tell. Every bite was just as good as the one before and made it hard to put it down. The onion rings were ok but not my fav. No points lost here bc the waitress was working all the 4 tables and bar and was dosing a great job! I'm gonna have to stop by again and see what worse is great on the menu bc it was super good!

A cider, a beer, and ample curbside parking!

We stopped in and enjoyed some appetizers and a cider and beer. The service was extremely hospitable! We got the sidewinder garlic cheese fries (delish and crispy shoestrings), garlic bombs, and wings. Everything was delicious and the prices were very reasonable!

    Jess the amazing bartender!

My lovely wife and I are full time RVer and one of the things we do is enjoy breweries where ever we go. We have been across the country and back multiple times and have been to breweries from San Diego to Maine. Off the Rails was an absolute hidden gem and is now firmly in our top ten breweries in the country. First off we did 2 flights with different beers and there wasn't a bad beer in the mix. Their Spuma was a Chocolate Cherry Pistachio Stout that tasted like a Cherry Bomb candy from when I was a kid. Their Brown Ale was an enigma as I expected it to be short on flavor due to its color, it was more like an Amber than a brown. I was pleasantly surprised when the flavor knocked my socks off!!! Lastly, when it comes to a great brewery we judge them on technical points, but also style points. And Off The Rails is a solid 10 in this category. Why you ask? Because we met one of the loveliest bartender there. Jess was absolutely amazing, friendly as can be and made us feel like we were locals and friends. In short, Jess is AMAZING!!! You can bet that anytime we travel through the area we'll be visiting Jess and Off The Rails!!!

I don't think the patio is open today

This is my go to place when I'm looking for a spot to chill, maybe get a little work done, and have a bite to eat. I've had a great beer here and the service is always been great.

    Undercooked chewy no sauce pizza

I ordered pizza to go and they charged me $90 for 2 pizzas that were not cooked all of the way. Dough was very chewy and pizza was bland with very little topping. Would not recommend getting food to go. It's a rip off. I complained to the staff and they just told me well that sucks. And did nothing to try and fix their mistake

Good food. Extremely poor service. Extremely rude to customers and very unprofessional. Poorly run service and business.

Several pints later, the entire bar is one big family hanging out. We tried the super nachos at the owner's recommendation... And they did not disappoint. What makes these nachos super is the addition of TOTS! You read that right. Tortilla chips AND tater tots covered in black olives, tomatoes, ground beef, onions, sour cream, and jalapeños. Victoria also gave us a couple sides of their housemade salsa for an extra kick! We'll definitely be back to try some of the other items on their large food menu and to enjoy the back patio when the weather warms up.

I was only there for an hour or so before, I was not feeling good so I had a friend pick me up. I went to pick up my car at 9:45 am. My car was towed!! I had to pay $395.00 in cash because custom towing and recovery don't except cards. $100.00 of that $395 was for after hours charge at 10:00 am on a Sunday. Then $45.00 was for storage charge for storing my car not evan for 2 hours. I would be charged $45.00 a day to have my car there. This blows my mind, since it is illegal to drive while drinking. They have no problem taking our money for the alcohol drinks that we got from them. Which makes me not legal to drive. Then not Evan give me 24 hours to pick up my car. This is not ethically or morally right. This owner does not care about the safety of his community or the people that come to his bar.

My family of 6 eats everything family style, this allows us to try it all :-)…read more We had... *Corn chowder(very good, but seemed pricey for the size, especially in comparison to other items), this was served with thin slices of grilled bread instead of crackers, which was amazing!!! *Blondie mac&cheese. This is super yum!! With bacon?!?!?! Extra indulgent!! So good!! *Palate burger. Bacon jam? Yes, please! Pickle Aioli? Interesting, sign me up! This was a yummy burger, although I never did find the cheese on it....yet still happily ate my piece. *Ambitious Blonde Burger. I would have preferred a bit more beer cheese-or maybe a 2nd type of cheese too? but it was still very yummy!! The generous amount of yummy bacon made up for any smaller amount of cheese ;-) *Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich. Super yum, although we are used to more of an oil based "sauce" and this was something else. Still good, still spicy, just not super authentic(we lived in the Nashville/Huntsville area for a decade) *Pulled pork Sandwich. Super good. Sauce seems homemade, great compliment to the sandwich! *Smoked Tri-tip Sandwich. Really good. The bbq sauce, toppings make it next level! This is coming from someone who never understood the hype of tri-tip(when living in CA), but finally did-just took going to ID to figure it out ;-) *Cuban Sandwich. This was good. Had the pulled pork from above & was very yummy!! Condiments once again took it to the next level! Exactly what it should be! *Pretzel Bites. These were served with beer cheese & super yum, kids loved them! Everything was amazing & we cannot wait to go back for more!! All 4 kids loved everything!!

When we walked in the server insisted that we sit inside instead of going out back. I wish we had gone out back to the truck, our server was super attentive but we felt a bit forced to buy a drink from them and ordering via the bistro QR code from the table was a little clunky. We were also traveling and the drink menu from Jim Dandy's didn't tickle our fancy. My husband got the Piggyback Burger with truffle fries and it was delicious! All of the flavors went well together and were plentiful. I had the pork tacos and the brussel sprouts. The brussels could've feed four people and were a bit on the very well done side. The tacos were full of meat but just okay and the chimichurri was nothing to write home about. The location was clean and quiet. Loads of seating inside and had some fun decor touches. Maybe we'll head to the other location next time we are in the area.
