Copy and print dept was terrible. Employees were slow didnt acknowledge anyone in line. It was unclear where to stand and after 10 min they asked if I signed in. don't bother going here if u need quick service. Josh on the other hand was great, good energy at the checkout line. read more

This review is about office depot furniture. First of all you cannot pick-up any furniture at the office depot locations. You have to order the furniture and they set up a time and day to deliver the furniture. It's a mandatory charge for the delivery. Since they don't have the furniture on location they force you to pay $27 dollars for delivery because there is no option to pick it up yourself. I payed almost 400 for a large L shaped desk. You think the least they could do is give you free delivery. I was told by the office depot employee who rang me up that the delivery men could help carry the desk to the second floor since that is where the room is located that I would be putting the desk at. Of course once the day of delivery arrives the delivery guy shows up and says he can't carry the desk upstairs so he just sticks it in the garage. 27 dollars to bring a desk from the curb to the garage. The desk consisted of two boxes over a hundred pounds each and still was in pieces that had to be put together. So after I was able to have a friend over to help me carry the desk upstairs it then took me about 3 days to get the desk put together. Buying furniture from office depot has been the most frustrating experience. If you are interested in ordering any furniture from their warehouse I would avoid it at all costs. read more

My experience was great! I needed flyers printed last minute and literally Vivian stayed on the phone with me to explain how I need to order it online . My file was in PSD format so every time I emailed it to her it was blurry so I had to convert the file on my own. I came home from work converted the file on my computer and headed straight here to Office Depot where Vivian once again helped me tremendously. She uploaded my file into the computer and got working on it right away and it's 7:50 PM. Even though she's the general manager and has 1 million other things she could be doing, she stepped in to this department to help me and completed the job. This was one of the best customer service experiences I have ever had and I'm huge on that as I own my own business and try to give everyone a great service. It truly makes a difference. She's the FREAKING BEST!!! read more

I ordered some office furniture from Office Depot mid month but never received any tracking info. Nine days later I called to see what had happened with my order and was sent tracking info that said it was in transit. The agent said I'd be receiving the order in two days, but he'd "start a ticket" anyway. Two days later, the tracking dead-ended one week previously so it appeared as if the order had been lost. I called again and asked that the matter be rectified by cancelling the order, refunding the money, and/or sending a new order as it appeared the order had been lost. The agent assured me that s/he would "send a ticket" and an email confirmation would be sent the next day. Next day, no email, so I called and was told again that s/he would "send the ticket" and we'd receive an email confirmation the next day. The next day was Saturday and passed without any email so I called again and was told nothing could be done until Monday but that imaginary email would without a doubt arrive on Monday. Guess what? It's now early Monday afternoon with no email. Sigh. So I called again for the fifth time now and told her my info and that I still hadn't received any info or email. She accessed the order and asked me what did I want done with it! It was as if I were calling for the first time! So I said since you can't give me any info on my order then I want a refund. She said that she would issue the refund at that moment and that I'd be receiving a phone call tomorrow about the credit. I asked her if it was totally useless to place an order with Office Depot and she said "yes" ... quite confidently I might add ... but I'm pretty sure she didn't understand the question. I don't want to get anyone in trouble who is simply doing the job they've been trained to do which is to say, "I've started a ticket." Assuming the agent actually does "start a ticket," whatever that entails, the ticket is obviously useless as it doesn't solve anything or work on weekends even though you answer the phone on weekends. It's as if you hired an Asian call center to transfer out your customer service calls to, taught them how to say, I'll start a ticket," and then gave them no other information to work with or how to access the info. Possibly due to poor training, it gives the appearance of utter incompetence. So let's recap: - I called five times and each time it was as if it were the first time. - Every time I told them the whole story and that we wanted the order cancelled, refunded, and/or resent. - Each time I was told a "ticket would be sent" and I'd receive an email the next day: a total fail each time. - Even the latest person couldn't tell me a thing about the order, ie, yes it's been lost, we've sent out a new order, nothing. - Nothing, not one single thing, had been done about my order until I called five times over a ten day period of time and finally demanded a refund. In conclusion, you really are all a bunch of incompetents, and it really is frustrating and useless to place an order with Office Depot. Going elsewhere to buy my office furniture, sigh. PS: It's now been nearly one month since the order was placed and I'm finally posting this review. Never received any furniture, but the order was refunded when the agent said on the fifth call. read more

Every time I come to Office Depot service center I end up waiting a very long time as they only have one person working it but more than a 30 minute wait to be serviced. This while other staff are chatting at the empty check out line or working the floor. Management please consider providing more staff for this area. read more

Kuddos to Savannah in the copy and printing section. While helping another customer she acknowledged me right away. I was a little lost on what I was trying to get done with a business presentation and she guided me and made appropriate recommendations. The process went quick and smooth and I was able to get out of there in less than 5 minutes!!! She was able to manage the entire section by herself assisting 5 customers at the time. Great job!!! Absolutely, by far, the worst Office Depot I have ever frequented. Took 10 minutes to check out. They had at least 5 associates on the floor and only two checkout counters open. The problem was that the 2 counters that were open were dealing with "issues" that the customers at those counters had! When I first got to the checkout counter line, there was one lady in front of me. I waited a good 10 minutes in line before I got to the register. The associate who waited on me was a totally rude person. She never apologized for the ridiculous long wait. Never thanked me, either. She just handed me my receipt. Will I ever shop at Office Depot again? I don't think so. Judging by rthe Yelp reviews of this store, seems like a lot of people are in agreement about this store--it totally sucks big time!!! read more

I did not like my experience today while shopping at Office Depot. It's like I couldn't shop without the employees bugging. I take my time shopping because I look at prices and it takes me awhile to make my decision since I shop on a budget but sheesh can they not bug the crap out of me every 5 minutes or ever aisle I go to? Then right after they ask if I'm doing okay, the go on the headset and say "Did you hear me?" or "Binder Aisle" is okay. Makes me feel like i'm being watched. Like i'm gonna stuff a big ass binder in my pocket. I felt harassed and I do not feel comfortable shopping in an environment like that. read more

pros...pretty nice office depot. usually pretty empty as well, workers here and very customer oriented. got asked if i could be helped by just about everyone there. nice. you can usually find what you are looking for, nicely marked and lighted aisles. went here to get a self-inking stamp for the clinic. the old guy here is really cool and helped me out. he made the stamp in literally 6 minutes. after i had chosen the font, and the size of stamp. he basically pushed a button and poof! the stamp was done, he assembles it and says, let it stand for 40 minutes and you are all ready. cool, that's customer service. and if you are looking for a good laugh, read my review of the "target" next door. cons...well every time i go there to replacement ink for my printer, i can't find it. they never have it. well save for the first time i went there. so i just go someplace else for my ink replacement needs. but good place for other stuff. read more

While this store's customer service is not the greatest overall, I'm glad that not all the employees are rude. Aaron helped me with my order I placed the previous day. He was still waiting on another customer when I approached the counter, so he acknowledged me and said he'd be with me soon. That's how you treat a customer! read more

Visited this location on 2/18/16, just a little after 11 am. I was stopping in to check ink prices for our Epson printer. I really was pretty clueless about my printer model or what cartridges it needed. The store manager was so helpful and patient with me. She really is awesome! I'll definitely be back next time I need something office supplyish. : ) read more

I came in to print a resume out and Fabian was at the copy center that morning. He was so kind, helpful and patient. He had to repeat my print out and photocopies 3 times and was so patient! I go to this Office Depot often and usually get pretty good service. Well we had to exchange an office chair that we purchased recently. Keep in mind that we purchased the additional warranty in case anything goes wrong with the chair. Well within 2 months the chair keeps going down so we go to exchange it. We called the location first to make sure they have another available to do the exchange and to make sure we have everything we need for the exchange. Lissette was very helpful. Well we went to the store and one of the managers, Sandra. gave us a hard time saying the chair was damaged. The chair is in perfect condition. It's been in our business office since it was first delivered to our office. We just want one that's not defective. Anyhow Phill was also very helpful and took the time to make sure we get credited the same amount as when we first purchased the chair as well as have the same warranty. The Manager needs to realize that sometimes items are defective and need to be exchanged especially when the additional protection plan is purchased. Her attitude was not appreciated. read more

My experience here was not great. The employees here are not helpful at all. I needed help to my car after purchasing a desk chair and they didn't help at all. The guys just brought it outside and then left me there with a huge chair to put in my car. The employees were on their phone and not giving me eye contact and just looked like their minds were somewhere else. I hope they improve in the future. read more

If I could give negative stars, I would. Just had the worst experience ever. Staff are completely incompetent. Really....how hard is it to make 10 black and white copies? It took over 45 minutes! Today I went to Office Depot because I needed some thumbtacks. I was hoping to find a box of a colored variety of thumbtacks for some office displays similar to what I had already used. Although an Office Depot employee directed me towards the correct aisle, all I found was bulky push-pins that stick out from the wall. I was told that no, they didn't carry thumbtacks! Come on... an office supply store that doesn't even carry thumbtacks? I went next door to Target and bought a box of silver thumbtacks. Target didn't have the multi-colored ones, but at least they carried what I consider an office staple. Why waste my time going to an office supply store when they don't even carry the basics?? read more

I have been to this Office Depot several times for many different reason and the best customer service I have received by far is at the copy center. Irene has helped me many times, even if it's not related to the copy center I still ask her and she will take the time to show me or appoint me who could help me out the best. I had some bad customer service at an other Chula Vista Office Depot, which made me come to the Eastlake location and and I can say that employes like Irene have made me want to come back to Office Depot and this Eastlake store. read more

Wow, I was so impressed by an employee of this store that completely went over and above for me. I went in there to see about getting copies of files I needed printed because I did not have a printer to take on so many pages that I needed. She not only printed everything out for me which took 2 days by the way, but she also put them in order so I could find what I needed easily. Wow, these kids that work here are awesome, the moment you walk in here they are asking if you need any help, they are very respectful (looks like they got them from military school lol) wich is always great to be treated with respect. The people in the copy center work very hard and do the best they can ---most are helpful but all of them try to help out when they are short handed. I come here often and they do a pretty good job and the price is good too. Nice people. read more

I like this place. I've been here more times than I can count over the past 5 years or so. Although I haven't been in quite a while, I shopped there yesterday and was impressed with the attentiveness, precision, and helpfulness of the employees. One young lady and one young man who not only quickly and easily helped me with what I needed, but also anticipated and mentioned other related products that I may also need. The young man remembered me from the past, as I did him, and he has always provided great customer service. About the only thing I didn't like was nothing I was interested in was on sale so the prices were a bit higher than I wanted to pay; nevertheless, the fact that I could get what I wanted, had people helping me from the moment I walked in, and I could check out quickly (was taken to a separate register so I wouldn't have to wait too long) is all part of a great experience and saved me time. That's why I'm now taking the time to give them a good review. Keep up the good work! read more

Im still in shock about what just took place, I came in to quickly ship some items. A male employee informed me that they don't have enough staff and that he cant help me. I look around and I was the only one in the store, and politely ask if he could just help me set up labels and I could get this done quickly..he began yelling out of nowhere that for the last time he couldn't help me and that he was going to shut down the entire store. Maria the manager just stood there and kept quiet instead of apologizing or calmly explaining the situation. I cant believe I got yelled at by an employee, last time Im coming to this store. I swung by this place after I went to Target b/c my bf was looking for a storage bin. While I was there I found small storage bins for myself. The sale sign said $2.99, buy 1 get 1 free. So I grabbed 3 bins over to the cashier. My bf paid for his bins and got the sale but when he rang me up, my bins scanned as $10.99. I told the cashier that the bins were $2.99 so he called someone to do a price check. I waited patiently for almost 10 minutes before someone got back to him and told him that the bins were $10.99. I told them the sign said $2.99 and my bf even showed his receipt that the same exact bins that he got were $2.99. Instead of walking over to check the price himself, the cashier just said "sorry. I don't know why the prices are different." Are you kidding me? The ad said $2.99, the price sticker in the aisle said $2.99, isn't it obvious that someone labeled the bin wrong? I was very upset that the cashier didn't try harder to figure out what the problem one. He just wanted to shoo me away! This store needs smarter, better trained employees! read more

The Office Depot printing center here is painfully slow. The clerks are nice enough, but their systems for taking printing and shipping orders is absurdly slow. Often, the clerks don't understand what I'm trying to print, even if the order is quite simple. I continue going here because my work has an account with them, but if it were up to me, I would go to the FedEx office printing center in Point Loma or Hillcrest, both of which are way easier and much quicker. read more

Service is always good. Sometimes a little TOO good cuz I really just want to get in and out without having 3 different people ask me if I need help. lol They're knowledgeable about the computers and monitors and they have all the stuff I need to stock the office so that saves me some time. I have to say, I have been coming to this particular location for many years mainly for copy and print services, and for the most part the sales associates are always helpful and take their time to print out all my documents. This past week I have been into the location 3 times for document printing, and all three times I had sales associate Marie who helped me out. I suppose she works the closing shifts because I have been in there at night mostly. She is very nice, patient, and very welcoming. She is a multi-tasker helping multiple people print or copy or laminate things at once, and is always smiling. She was very exceptional and tonight she helped me out again allowing me to print via email when I had brought the wrong flash drive. However, I can tell she was not having a good day, yet she never, ever made it seem like that affected the way she treated me or others. Her customer service still shined, and she was still very nice and welcoming. Thank you, Marie. I hope your day and week goes better, and thanks so much for being patient with all my tedious printing projects!!!! read more

Not sure what has happened here in the last couple months, but it seems that this specific store has come down with the plague. The staff, who is mostly the same as the last few times I've been here, seems to be getting a little more annoyed they have to serve the public. The moral appears to have fallen off a cliff. The older female manager is fantastic, as always but the new manager, who I had to deal with regarding a misprinted copy issue, said all the right things but seemed to be looking at me with a look of judgement. I remember the previous manager, taller and blonde, I think, who sold me a laptop and even gave me a great deal on Word and Excel. He even put it on the computer for me, in an hour. He really had the passion and energy to motivate his team. I could hear him talking to other staff members while he was talking to me, which I didn't mind, because he was the manager. The last computer I bought at Costco, I had to do that myself. But anyway, it just seems this store has lost something over the last month or 2. Hopefully they get it back. I know Office Depot is in a rough place. read more
