I have never experienced such unprofessionalism and blatant disregard for customers. The employees at this location are incredibly rude and act like helping you is a massive burden. Worse than the attitude is the sketchy handling of packages. My package was marked as 'delivered' and signed for by staff using completely different names than their own. When my wife went to pick up the package that they signed for, they suddenly 'can't find it' in the system. This isn't just bad service; it's a total lack of accountability. I went in today to drop off a package, and it was my first time using the kiosk. I asked another customer (since the employee seemed busy) whether the kiosk provides a receipt, and she kindly answered. I then tried using the kiosk after hearing the employee mention scanning--but when I scanned my package, it showed an error. So I approached the employee (an older gentleman) and asked for help. He responded with, "OH MY GOD! You should listen to what the lady is saying!" in a very rude tone. I was honestly shocked. I had asked respectfully, so I responded, "Excuse me? I asked nicely--you should at least respond nicely too." He scanned my package but still being sarcastic. Customer service like this is unacceptable. If I were to choose one word for this company, it would be pathetic. They take advantage of customers with their greedy penny pinching. I've done multiple returns before, and never had to print a label from home, or tape up my package. Apparently this time I did, even though nothing on my return instructions said so. This UPS location charged me over $6 to print a label and put a pie of tape on a box! So unsat! I want to acknowledge the great customer service I received at this location. I didn't get the young man's name (wore a light brown/khaki beanie) but he helped me out as soon as I arrived. I signed up to receive some of my deliveries at this location because I made some big purchases and just feel much safer and secure. There was a line when I got there and one person at the register. The guy that helped me was multitasking with other orders but stopped to ensure he helped out with the line. Both were super quick but I was helped by this certain guy wearing the beanie. He was friendly, asked how my day was going and found my order quickly. He offered to help me out to my car because he saw I was struggling with my toddler. I appreciate the help and generosity. I went there to return my Amazon return via UPS. Two males at the desk did not want to help me. They grudgingly said yes but after I saw someone did the return on the small desk by the door, I did the same thing but was wrong. After I asked again, the female employee told me that I didn't have a QR code and therefore has to be boxed with a return mail code. When I left the office to my car, another client told me that she observed how rude they were. She gave me a box and therefore I went back in to mail the return. This UPS Store should not have an Amazon return if they refuse to assist people. @Amazon. Will never go back there. The only reason I gave the one star rating is because the female worker finally helped me after I asked again. read more

However, this establishment is asking that we go to tape up this shipment, despite it quite literally saying it on the Amazon return instructions that it isn't necessary. I've been visiting this UPS location regularly for the past two years, and I've noticed that the staff often seem quiet and unwelcoming. However, today's experience was particularly disappointing. I went in to return an Amazon package, and everything was packed properly, except for a small gap of about an inch that needed some scotch tape. honestly, I don't mind the long lines and waits because this store can get pretty crowded. But what I will comment on is the friendly customer service this location provides. I believe the person's name is Ben but in the short interaction that I go, he seems to be going above and beyond for customers and provides a welcoming experience to those who wait in long lines. I would advise that waits are a bit long in this location since the location itself is fairly small but it's a friendly neighborhood UPS store so i don't Mind driving 5 minutes away and wait rather than drive 15-20 minutes to a farther location. Came by Monday for a return they said the system was down and could not return items that their technician may come by after 4pm or to come by the next day for sure. Went by the next day and same thing. I did not try Wednesday but went today Thursday and the system is still down and they said they probably won't be able to do returns until the weekend. The next nearest location is about 29 minutes away. Not convenient for me at the moment. Normal shipping is fine. Made an appt ahead of time for notary service for an important document I needed taken care of THAT day. Came for my appt and the boy in the front went to the back to let her know I was there & he came to the front and said she was on a phone call and its "probably gonna be awhile" and I should "try postal annex they close at 5" AT 445PM LOL. So I continued to state I made an appt well ahead of time & needed it today & he proceeded to say "yeah.. she's super busy on a phone call." Not to mention she also had her young kid just running around behind the counter while she was taking a call instead of fulfilling my appointment. He also mentioned that they do not check their notary appointments which was laughable. If I would have known, I would have selected a different, more reliable company to do my notary. This store is swamped!!! Came here to send out 4 shipments unfortunately for 2 of them I didn't have a label (sadness). Well it's located in a rather large shopping center that never seems to have parking. Now i know why! Everyone was at UPS!!! Not necessarily a bad thing. Jk idk where all the people were but! But! There was definitely a line even running outside of the store of about 8 people. Lucky for us a bunch of people didn't want to wait and just left. All in all we waited 10 minutes in queue and about 5 minutes at the counter only because my QR codes couldn't be read by the scanner. I was saddened to see the store in disarray with boxes pulled up, I work in logistics so I know that alone can create the feeling of being overwhelmed. There were 3 people working the counter, the 2 guys didn't look like they wanted to be there. At all. I tried to strike friendly conversation but didn't work. One of the guys just had a complete stank face. The girl came to the counter while I was being helped and she was quite friendly and actually helped the guy figure out how to scan my QR codes. So kudos to her for her help and a lively attitude. Working in customer service can be exhausting, specially I'm sure with having the load of people coming to drop off shipments. This is such a stark difference from the UPS store at Point Loma sadly I was disappointed because I was expecting the same friendly service. But nonetheless I went in and still accomplished what I needed to do anyway. I had two packages delivered here. They kept saying they didn't have my packages. I showed them my confirmation text & emails I had just received that morning. They continued to say they couldn't find my packages. These were pretty large boxes & it was hard to believe they weren't there when I had multiple delivery confirmations from the store I purchased & UPS. Finally after I insisted they keep looking, they said they found them. It was hard to believe they could lose my packages within 2 hours of them being there! Lost package and poor customer service. I pay for a PO Box at this location and am very disappointed with the service I received from the manager Sally. I have photo proof of a package being delivered on 12/28/24. I came into the store on 12/29/24 and spoke with Sally and showed photo proof package was delivered. Sally checked the tracking and verified herself that my package was delivered and gave the excuse they have multiple people call out and so understaffed they had hundreds of packages to review ( this is probably why my package was lost). She took my information and said she would call me in 1 -2 days but never did. I sent an email to CustomerRelations@upsstore.com and just got an automated reply but no resolution. I came into to the store today 1/5/25 and package cannot be found. Derick went above and beyond to try and help me- he deserves 5stars. Sally has yet to call me or address the situation. read more

Was in the area, in Chula Vista in the Eastlake area... and I was carrying around an Amazon return luckily. This location is found in the Eastlake Terrance Shopping Center off of Eastlake Pkwy and Highway 125, but on the opposite side of where Wal-Mart and Home Depot are located and on the same side of Walgreens. Parking is a bit crowded as other popular retail locations, like Starbucks, are nearby and getting in and out isn't as quick as other locations. Stopped in to drop it off and this location had two very friendly employees working. This location looks very well layed out, spacious wise, and clean. There was a customer being helped upon our entrance, and an employee from the back came to assist us. We were in and out and on our way in a very timely manner. The best way the interaction could have transpired. Will definitely keep this place in mind for future needs. read more

One of the busiest ups stores I've ever been too. I came around prime time, 4:30-5 p.m. an the line was out the door. Self service kiosk was unavailable, so I had no choice but to wait in line. But the workers were exceptionally fast an professional with handling the rush. I was seen less than 10 min and even with my huge amount of returns and as well as the one package i wanted to ship I was pleased with the service from the young man that helped me. Just went to this UPS store, was returning an item, when the employee scanned my item he said that this wasn't them, to check my labels first... (with an attitude, in front of a line) I said ok and went outside to double check my labels first; I returned immediately as I had just stepped outside; the employee was already working with other customer, I waited but saw that he was trying to avoid me; so I said "so this is not you guys?" while showing him the label again- to which he replied " that's not the one you showed me" again, with an arrogant attitude; so I said "yes it is, it's the only one I have right now" he replied "no, I'm very good at this, I remember well.." I again said "no, this is the same one I just showed you" . He kept on walking, helping the other customer-which I totally understand as they were busy. The other employee at the next register then said "next", and the customer next to where I was standing very politely offered me to go. Employee #2 then scanned my item, I showed him the same return label I had just showed employee #1 and I scanned perfectly. He gave me my label, and I asked him for his co-worker's name or whoever was in charge. Employee #1 informed me that he was the one in charge and that his name was Daniel. I then stated that he had no customer service skills whatsoever and that I didn't appreciate what he had just done. Again, this happened when more customers kept on arriving, and Daniel kept on displaying his big attitude. Daniel, I repeat, you have NO CUSTOMER SERVICE skills, I do understand you were getting busy in the store at this particular time, but this is NOT how you treat customers; I'm pretty sure you don't own the store, and you had no right to treat me that way until the last minute when you still managed to say; without looking at me to my face, "ok, sorry" and I said NO, you're not and I walked out. Was in front of the door by 8:00am and it was closed. Went back inside my car to wait and noticed 2 other customers started waiting outside. At around 8:09am a lady with purple hair unlocked the door and went in so i went to wait in line outside thinking she will open soon. Around 8:15am one of the customers who had been waiting outside before me was annoyed and left. By then there was 3 other customers that lined up after me. At 8:17 the lady came out and said she doesnt even work here and walked back to her car so i left as well and decided to go to the one on telegraph. When your hours say you'll open at 8am on a Monday but there is no sign of life or opening anytime soon. This happened to me the weekend after Mother's Day, and there were 8 other people in line waiting for the store to open. People eventually just started leaving and after waiting a half hour, I left as well. I can't believe I even waited that long! Another customer in line with me mentioned it happened the previous weekend as well but at least on that day they were only 15 min late. I did still give two stars because the days that I am there, it's fine. Arrived to pickup package. They were unable to release it due to the store system being down. They stated they have called corporate for the past two days and they haven't resolved the issue. Any packages that have arrived in the past two days will not be released. If they knew this yesterday, then why was I allowed to have the package delivered to this location. They should really have different lines for different needs. If you already printed your UPS label and placed it on a package (like you should already), you shouldn't have to wait in the Amazon return lines with the ladies who need to return yoga pants or a key chain which require a QR code and longer assistance times.
