Came here on a Thursday around 2:30pm to get a project printed and laminated - I was very mistaken thinking that this would be a quick job. Context: I recently moved home from Oregon and got this exact project printed and laminated at an Office Depot in Portland (not important but for all my physical therapist friends out there - it's a reformatted version of the Peabody pediatric assessment tool haha get nerdy with me pls) When I got it done in Portland, it literally took 7 mins, and the printing services printed and laminated my entire order (it's like 7 colored pages front and back) all in front of me and had amazing customer service - I remembered that experience so vividly that this experience at this Office Depot made me really sad. Pros: - there's self-help printers where you can plug in a USB or email it to a set email and swipe your credit card and it'll print out just fine - this is ideal if you have SIMPLE print jobs (like all one sided stuff, or a mass pack of the same copies) - lamination services are available in various thicknesses All of these pros above are not even really PROS - they're just an objective description of the services this place promises... CONS: - The sign at the desk of the printing area has an email you're supposed to send stuff to if you want it printed -IT'S WRONG (why is it even up...) - the staff directed me to the self printer with a different sign with the correct email - I agreed to use the self-printer because the line for print jobs from staff was super long, but then regrettably the self-help printer doesn't apply your coupons/discounts you have - The staff will not cut stuff for you - use the self-help paper cutter available (I waited in line for like 20 mins because I wanted them to cut it for me because I don't trust my own hands and tend to cut slanted - but they basically said no and made me cut it on my own - sorry if I'm being a princess) - I waited in line again for 20 mins (they didn't let me get back to the front even though I told them the first time I lined up exactly what I needed to get laminated) - Finally got to the front of the line, where they made me place my own stuff into the lamination materials (which is totally okay, but if you were going to make me wait in line all over again, couldn't you have handed me the lamination stuff in the beginning and I could've just stood to the side placing it myself???) I think they're severely understaffed. I felt really bad because the one guy I ended up actually having laminate my stuff after I set it all up seems to really know what he's doing - but was so busy because the other lady wasn't really helping (that other lady was super grouchy too omg) Be prepared to come wait a super long time unless you have a really easy print job you can do on your own at the self-help printer It was crazy because even people who were here just to pick up stuff that had already been printed had to wait forever read more

Despite the bad reviews, I had a good experience this morning...possibly it depends on the time of day you get there. I arrived as they opened...i asked if they had a specific ink cartridge to which the salesperson walked me over to the overwhelming wall of different cartridges. She didn't leave me to have me figure it out but showed me the options that would work with my friends printer. Kudos to knowing their product! NEVER AGAIN! Ordered 10 backpacks online on 7/29 to donate to my church's health fair. An hour later, I get an email the order is ready for pick up. 7/30 the funds clear my bank account. 7/31 I go to pick up the order..it's gone. Two young men work hard to locate the order including texting managers off shift to see if they stored it. Kudos to them for trying. A couple of weeks ago, I came into this Office Depot looking for a desk for my office. After going through all the different desks, I decided on a specific model. When I asked the staff in the furniture department, she said that one was out of stock. But there was no indication that the item was out of stock anywhere on the showroom floor. In fact, I had to go through 4 different desk models before they had one in stock. The alternative was that I could go to the Oakland Office Depot to find the model I wanted, but I needed the desk ASAP. Lastly, when I asked for a discount on the more expensive model in stock, my offer was declined. In the future, I will avoid this Office Depot and go to another office supply store. read more

It's conveniently located off Hesperian with usually enough parking to get in and out pretty quickly. Usually there's a person or two roaming around that one can ask for help. Everything is usually neat with well labeled aisles just in case you're not the type to ask where things are and would rather enjoy searching. I only come here for one reason: printer ink. It's the place I can rely on to have my HP ink in stock. If ever I think to go elsewhere, I usually find I come right back here. With the way traffic likes to gather in the afternoon, I'd recommend completing any of your shopping needs in the early afternoon. I tend to prefer Office Depot over Staples are the prices seem reasonable, there's actual help on the floor away from the computer area, and the aisles are less cluttered. read more

The product is always great. I went in looking for a desk and a nice chair for my room, but was VERY disappointed to find that not a single worker greeted me or provided any sort of customer service. In one isle, there were two workers talking to themselves. More busy with their conversation than actually doing anything to provide great service or do their job. This sort of experience makes it hard for the shopper because nobody wants to feel like they're a burden, and the people here made it seem that way. Management, do something about this. This is my local Office Depot. I've come here many times for my office supplies. I came here looking for a heavy duty safe to put things such as my passport, emergency money, etc. in. I received a coupon for 25% off these safes but they had a poor selection. So, I skipped on it. I also needed file divider for my desk. $8.49? Are you kidding me? Oh, if only I were taking shop class.... and in high school. Then later that day, I find out that Target had the exact same thing for $4.49. Half off!!! I should've known. They have a good selection of printers, chairs and software. I wanted database management software but it was much more than I wanted to spend. Service is usually friendly and helpful. Was just looking for some book ends and they only had one of the cheaper ones so I had to find an employee to help me and they were very helpful and offered to order one for me and/or send me to another store. It was only a bookend so I just bought the more expensive one but the associates were very friendly and helpful and then the line was long when I got up to the front so they had two different employees offer to check us out if we were paying by card and didn't mind an email receipt. They used their iTouch to check me out and I was on my way. This was one of the better experiences that I had at this store. read more

The other workers do not know how to adjust basic printing settings even though they work at the "printing" department. I've had a guy who completely skewed and distorted one of my designs and asked if it was okay. Lol. Anyways. Always ask for Skyler if you want quality printing. read more

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. I have visited this store on many occasion to buy a wide variety of products. They tend to never carry the items I want, or it's impossible to find it. The Office Depot layout hasn't changed much over the years except for more computers. Why is it still so hard to find stuff? Ehh, I'm sorta used to the horrible layout of Office Depot. But the customer service is atrocious. Generally nobody knows where anything is or they say they don't carry it (no special orders? can't help you there). Plus the employees seem to be working at their own pace. I don't expect you to be sprinting to find me some toner, but try to at least appear as though I'm a priority. Yesterday I had encountered an incredibly rude cashier. I came in to drop off some used ink cartridges for recycling. They used to have a slot where you could just dump the cartridges in but they don't seem to have those anymore (why?!). I went to the cashier to ask where I could put them. I had gotten to the cashier at the same time as another customer. "GET IN LINE, GET IN LINE! GET IN LINE!" she yelled at me. Like WTF. I just wanted to ask a brief question. Who waits in line to ask a question? The cashier had seen me walk directly straight from the entrance to the cashier. Like what if I was simply asking where the pens are? You can't multitask with two customers? In less than ten seconds of being in the store, I had already been insulted. Even the other customer looked at me shocked at her response. So I waited. Then she says to me "YOU WANT TWO DOLLAR STORE CREDIT CARD FOR THESE CARTRIDGES?" How about a polite greeting? One "hello" wouldn't kill you. I say no thank you. "DO YOU UNDERSTAND ME?!! YOU GET TWO DOLLARS FOR FREE! FILL THIS OUT TO GET IT!" Way to insult my intelligence lady. What can $2 buy these days? I walk away in disgust. Yet she still tries to talk to me like I'm still there. ____ It feels like Office Depot brick and mortar stores are so eager to push away their loyal customers. After getting ridiculous high shipping quote from a competitor I tried Office Depot and was pleased with their service. They were quick to answer questions on the phone and had good service when I brought my package in to mail. Prices were good and they said they had the same price as usps and ups without any additional markup, so I appreciated being able to weigh my package and see what it would cost to send with the two services. I was quoted about $14 for ups and $12 for usps shopping approximately 3.5 lb package across the country. Thanks! read more

Came in on a Saturday evening , expecting disgruntled shoppers and long lines since it was the day before Father's Day but instead was greeted politely when I came in. There was a line but the cashier, Jeff was quick in his job and when he didn't have anyone in line, he even took the time to call an associate for me who helped me find the product I wanted. The associates are all pleasant and knowledgeable of the stores products and product sections. Kudos to Don, the computer expert for explaining the various computers in stock and evaluating the type of computer best for my business. Zef, the manager on site, was quick to respond when called to okay a price match. Yes, They price match, so remember to bring the ads or just show them the item on your smart phone. I don't know what is going on with this store but I am ready to take my business elsewhere. Because this store is on my way home, it is very convenient, but the service has taken a dive. Two weeks ago I stopped in to purchase ink for my computer. I picked up a few things and then proceeded to the ink counter and was yelled at by the kid at the register that he line forms over where he was' I mentioned I wasn't checking out just getting ink to. Which he yells, "The line is over here!" I said even for toner, he said yes. I get in line and then he sends me to the ink counter. Last week I return the ink I was given incorrectly to exchange for what I really need and the lady at the counter has no idea what I am speaking of, even though I have an empty cartridge to show her. I was right behind her but she didn't know what I was talking about. Another lady ended up finding the ink for her. I returned today to purchase more items and while in line a lady makes a comment about how expensive ink is and Hayley the cashier says " yep..they know how to get you" this was after the lady at the ink counter yell's to us "Sorry"... I wanted to ask for what...the line of people standing here with no help and not being acknowledged? I ended up needing to purchase other ink and dreaded the interaction I was anticipating and when it was my turn i was not let down. I showed her what I wanted and she said she has no ideas what to choose from the wall full of ink. !!!???. I walked out. Who is managing this location? Is any training offered to these team members? I only shop with this company because my hotel has a national account with them but I would rather wait for the online orders than walk into this place again. I do have to say that although I was not fortunate to have her assist me, there is a young lady with long dark hair that seemed to be all over the place helping people. Don't come here to get your book spiral bounded. I called, was told they could spiral bind my book. While in the store, with the book in hand, the manager Gabby said that it could be done, but the book needed to be cut in three because it was thick. Gabby said I could drop the book off today and picket it up tomorrow. I stood in the store and separated the book, then stood back in line to give to them. Shelbie helped me and said that the book was too thick and they didn't have anything that was big enough. I asked her to contact Gabby and Gabby she thought they had something big enough. She touched to book, looked it and everything, yet provided HORRIBLE customer service. She didn't offer any solutions. All she said was I thought it would work. I will never order from them again. They require every delivery regardless of what it is to be signed upon delivery. They do not tell you this when you are ordering. I was not home to sign for my delivery so I never received my items. I left the signed paper on my door but the driver still didn't deliver them.
