This Office Depot just sucks. EVERYTIME I come here I'm disappointed by the service , the lack of customer service is beyond me ! There's always a lot of people here but nobody helping any customers. I cannot believe this store. How could they not uphold their "limit 4 notebooks per person" deal. Obviously that's a good deal if their notebooks are 10 cents each. The cashier person name LUKE was talking to his manager or whoever, said that my mom and I counted as one transaction and couldn't do separate. "We would lose money if we did that" said Luke. So it would basically only work if we were strangers but because we are family we were excluded from the "per person" deal. How does that make any sense. He had no excuse when we questioned him. *** Just called their phone number and talked to a cashier name Isaiah. Apparently he is not as experience as Luke (that's what he said), so then the deal is actually "limit 4 notebooks per family." Separate transactions are not allowed bc we know each other. Still ridiculous and makes me hate Office Depot. Pretty sure they don't care but I'm taking this to their larger customer service. Looked at the receipt for our other purchases and Luke charged my mom for the wrong deal. It was a 3/$9.99 binder deal yet he charged us $3.99 binder each. First Luke couldn't give us a reasonable clear answer to our questions and then he charges our deal wrong. I looked online to see if there really was a 3/$9.99 deal and there was none. So now the store can't even label correctly because there was a whole section with binders with the label "3 for $9.99." It's crazy to think you're getting a great deal at Office Depot but it's just the workers tricking you. *** Just called Office Depot in topanga, and they said they honor their per person deal. Patience is a virtue. Visited Office Depot to finish up some copies I was unable to do earlier in the week. The thing that impressed be the most was the patience of the manager who assisted. I saw the tender care she addressed the previous lady in the wheelchair. Another elder couple arrived and could not follow simple directions. They started adding a charge on print & copy called "full service" and they charge you at least $2.50 whatever you have one page (15 cent) or a couple more, they take this amount as starting ch! The 5-Stars is for the super excellent customer service I received from Jannely! She went "above and beyond the call of duty" to issue a Refund that was very difficult to process due to the type of item & circumstance. She could've denied my Refund Request at the Printing Dept. and have me come back another time, when the employee that initiated my Product Return is on duty, so he can verify that I returned the defective product. Since I did not go to the cash register the same day, because the lines were too long. She did several things on the register computer that the other cashier couldn't figure out, it was like process after process after process, etc. She knew exactly what to do, and did them lightning-fast! I placed an order online for pickup which just so happened to be out of stock per a call I received from an employee at this location. It was 830 am so I quickly ended the call following his confirming the cancellation and that I would receive an confirmation email shortly. Four hours later still no receipt, email or cancellation confirmation had been received so I called back to request this. I spoke with a RUDE person named David who was quickly dismissive, never asked my name, order number, anything to distinguish my issue to help resolve. Instead he told me to call Office Depot online because it was placed online and just kept saying whoa whoa calm down. Although I never yelled at him or inflected my tone at all even after he was a jerk. This makes no sense given THE SAME location has just called me and advised of the above. THE WORST! I ordered a palette of paper , which is 40 cases of paper. When the delivery man came to deliver the paper and I attempted to show him where I wanted the 40 cases of paper to be put, he informed me that it was curbside delivery only. Furious, I called Office Depot customer service, and the person on the other end had the nerve to suggest I hire a mover to bring the paper into our office. No where on the order or the Office Depot website was anything said about curbside delivery. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! The print center is all over the place. You ask them one question about the whereabouts on how the self serve print station is supposed to work, and they look at you in confusion. There was a lady in line also in front of me who was also having trouble and difficulty and there was no help when asked. I rarely do reviews and the service here was so bad i just had to. The manager didnt even seem to care or have the decency to stay and help me. She just said a word and just left. I put 2 stars, because a worker named Perrin saw my frustration and helped me and accommodated/serviced my request in the full service print center rather than the self serve print center for the same price. Warning! Do not place an on line order for store pick up without calling to see if items are physically in stock. I purchased a shredder on Monday 12/11. 2-3 hrs after placing order I get text message saying there is a problem with my order a manager will call me. Waited hour no calls. Called the store. Manager would not answer phone. Lackeys kept putting me on extended holds. Had no idea what i was talking about. Finally after an hour of this back and forth an employee looks up my order but tells me " your account was not charged. My account was charged & the funds have been on hold several days. Called my bank to disputed the charge & they can't remove a hold of funds until the merchant releases the order. FF Saturday. Still no call from manager & i called bank again because hold is still on my funds. Finally Get a manger at office depot who says he calls office depot home office to straighten out but then calls me back & says they won't call merchant services to correct. He says he will call the bank but he is not merchant services so the bank won't take the hold off of my account. He tells me it will take until December 25th , which is a banking holiday (so wrong again) for the funds to be returned to my account. I placed the order on 12/11 and I have to wait until 12/26 or 12/27 when office depot will purge it out of their processing system to get a refund for an item they falsely advertised as in stock in their store. I'm writing a review specifically regarding the public restroom. I had to take my daughter to the restroom, but their restrooms are lock and there are no signs whatsoever that you need to ask the workers for the key. You could be standing there waiting for someone to come out thinking someone was using it. You could smell the urine from the outside and when we got inside, it appears like the restroom hasn't been cleaned in a long time and honestly, this place should inspected by health and safety because it was really disgusting. read more

Do not EVER buy anything at Office Depot based on getting a rebate. The rebate "Gift Card" they sent me is useless. The Office Depot clerk is the one that scratched off the PIN code protector, swiped the card, and said it was no good. They refused to help me and became unfriendly, because they didn't want to waste their precious time on hold with their own "Customer Support". I've spent 2 days, many phone calls to Office Depot "Customer Support", and I just get the run around. Their first agent said I waited to long and it expired. That is BS. I reminded her that the law does not allow gift card fees or expiration, and it even states that on the gift card! I was then transferred to another agent who took the card number and PIN and my info (phone number, e-mail etc.) and said it would take 24 to 48 hrs too look into it. 2 days later, I call back & they are still giving me the run-around. Took 3 hrs to build a filing cabinet that was $250 to find out the last drawer was broken. I wanted the cabinet because I already built the matching desk, they only wanted to do a return. They wouldn't build me one for free even tho I returned a fully built one, they wouldn't offer me a discount even considering now I'll waste over 5 hrs in total building this faulty item. Not to mention the time coming and returning the item. The item being broken falls on them. I will continue supporting Amazon and there's a reason why Jeff is winning. The manager was no help at all, refused to accommodate any discount for all this bullshit and wasn't even quick to get me in and out of the door with a new item. I stand in line here with around 30 people in front of me on the evening before Black Friday for a $30 printer. I go in and see $60 printers. I ask a worker where the $30 printers are. She said that they didn't have any in their store but that the first 10 people got certificates for them. Nice of the idiot workers to share this info with us as we waited in line...
