Walked into this location for the first time since I do a lot of printing and shipping packages. I used the self-service printing station to print my shipping label, and it was super easy. All I had to do was enter the code from the email on my phone, and my label printed right away. While I was there, I realized I needed a piece of tape from the packing area. There was a woman with glasses and a guy with long hair and glasses helping customers near the printing section, but I was never acknowledged--not even a simple "Welcome to the store" or "Is everything okay?" I've worked my fair share of retail jobs, and I know that even when you're busy, it's important to acknowledge customers. I ended up waiting in line for about 25-30 minutes just to get a piece of tape. When I finally got to Alexis and explained what I needed, she helped me in less than a minute. Alexis was very friendly, helpful, and provided great customer service. I would definitely come back to use the printing services because the process was quick and convenient. However, I'll probably start bringing my own packing supplies since getting assistance for something as simple as tape took much longer than it should have. read more

A MILLION STARS IF I COULD! I cannot say enough good things about the incredible team at Office Depot, especially Preston and Craig. They truly went above and beyond in every sense of the word--and completely saved the day for me during a major event! I initially came into the store earlier in the day needing a large print job--120 double-sided menus. Due to time constraints on my end, I ended up having to come back with only 10-15 minutes left before the store closed. Most places would have told me to come back tomorrow or given me a hard time about the timing, but not here. Preston was absolutely OUTSTANDING. He immediately jumped in and took ownership of the situation, making sure everything was taken care of with urgency and precision. Craig was right there with him, helping make sure every single menu came out perfectly. The fact that they took on such a large last-minute job with grace, patience, and professionalism meant the world to me. Not only did they complete everything before closing--they exceeded my expectations. Because of their exceptional customer service and commitment, I ended up opening a Business Account with Office Depot right then and there. That's how impressed and grateful I was. People like Preston and Craig are the kind of people I want around my business--people who care, who show up, and who truly go the extra mile. I have frequented this branch several times over the years and the staff is quite helpful. Most of my stops here have been for the Copy and Print services. It's been very easy to simply email the store with what I've needed to print and go to the store to get it printed. I do have mixed feelings about the new system where people text ahead to get in line. I haven't fully embraced that yet but do know it's here to stay. The best part that I love is the area where you can use their paper cutter and trim on your own. read more

Service is crap at this Office Depot. They have incompetent associates who don't know how to operate their own printers.

I submitted a print order, which was fine. The girl that helped me provided great customer service. I was told I'd receive a text or email once the order was complete and ready for pick up. Fast forward from Saturday to Tuesday, I called because I hadn't yet received the expected text or email. Kimber answered. I asked if my order was ready and she confirmed. I asked why I hadn't received any notification. This was some sort of trigger. The attack was officially "on". She told me "WE DON'T CALL EVERYONE THST HAS PRINT ORDERS. WE DON"'T HAVE TIME GOR THAT. WE'RE ONE OF BUSIEST PRINT SHOPS IN THE CIITY!" So I responded (calmly-and I know this because I was still in shock at the response I had just received) that was not the expectation the employee set for me. I was told I'd receive a text or email. A phone call was never promised. Kimber then responded with, "well I don't know why she would have told you that because she's only here 2 days a week. " Makes zero sense to me and that didn't answer my question. What's your policy/procedure? I was so shocked at the level of unprofessional behavior and attitude. Who raised this child? Employees not knowledgibible, uncertain how to handle simple electronic tasks; often older men who have to be taught how to do what they should do. Delayed my assignment to bring up a document until it was too late for me to use that document. They are a mess; short-staved all the time; apparently low employee satisfaction. Horrible! read more

My experience at the Office Depot at 1205 North Loop 1604 in San Antonio, TX was exceptional. The General Manager, Paige Gregory, personally helped me with my need for a printer for my business. It was very evident that Paige made the extra effort to provide outstanding customer service and that she wanted to make sure the customer's experience was of the highest quality. She was very knowledgeable about the products and services in her store. She worked with me through the entire process until I had the right printer for my business. Paige was very responsive in providing technical support, answering questions, and providing helpful information all during a very business time at the store. She was always very pleasant, very customer-oriented, and courteous during the time I worked with her. Let me tell you why this place has my business. I always used Office Max in the past. However, I never really felt like they cared if I did business with them or not. The final nail in their coffin happened when I showed up at 5:50 on a Sunday afternoon. They close at 6:00 but had already locked their doors. I needed some printer cartridges for a presentation, so I knocked on the door. Somebody walked up and told me they closed at 6. I told them it was 10 till. He turned and walked away. Since then, I have used Office Depot for all my office supplies. They have always been most helpful, and have never been out of stock on something I need. I can' t think of 1 time when they didn't tell me they appreciated my business. They have earned a loyal shopper. read more

My service was awesome today! Michael really helped us out. We needed a print job done and another location told us they weren't able to get the job done until the next day at noon, said no and they called michaels location and he actually quoted us just a few hours before the other store. We went to michaels location and he actually got the job done in less than an hour. I couldn't be more grateful for him! read more

I had tried to purchase jump drives for a "Stuff the backpack" drive when Texas holds its tax free weekend. The cash register did not recognize the item as a tax free item. The supervisor would not try to adjust his register without seeing a tax free certificate. I walked away. One of the registers did not have cash if I wanted to pay cash. I doubt the store management will even respond to my negative review. read more

Like all Office Depot stores this one is large clean and well organized. Staff are friendly, helpful, and attentive. Prices however are average or higher. They have a nice assortment of high-end pens and refill ink. Shop around for the best buy. read more

This particular Office Depot Store is an incredible business located in the Alamo City. I had the opportunity to reach out and meet Matilda, Randy and Ms. K three of the many incredible business associates. My conversation with Ms. K was awesome. She greeted me at the counter with a huge beautiful smile, and we exchanged pleasantries. She is incredibly articulate, courteous, intelligent, knowledgeable, polite, and professional. Ms. K and Randy exemplify great customer Service. They both poses wonderful listening skills. Randy listened tentatively to all my concerns and answered all my questions. Ms. K posses some impeccable customer service skills. in my opinion she should be immediately promoted ahead of her peers. I am sure a monetary award would be greatly appreciated by her. Recently relocating from California, Ms. K and Randy convinced me in little or no time any office needs in the future to come here was a must. With the assistance of Matilda and her co-workers we did our due diligence and discovered how important and necessary this new office equipment would be in my office. I also discovered this particular Office Depot supplies the best office equipment and furniture on the market at the lowest price anywhere. What I love the most about their business is the fact they don't try to sale you furniture you don't need. No strong-arm techniques like at the car dealers or Ashley furniture stores. You are treated like family and not the bottom line. This Office Depot has several additional amenities to upgrade your office. If it were left up to me, I would have given this Office Depot and it's incredible staff a ten (10) stars instead of five. Specifically for their impeccable customer service, staff, product, prices, and overall services. Please take my advice. Do not buy office supplies anywhere else in Texas! It is for their exemplary performance I've become a lifelong customer of this particular Office Depot. read more

Not sure how day staff function but closing staff an issue for this location. After working all day I needed to exchange a binder purchased at this store, upon arrival at ~8:42pm the automatic doors were cracked open by an inch but turned off. Looked like 4 employees inside which would occasional glance at me through the door then quickly ignore. I called the store number and was greeted and when asked if they were open they replied this location was already closed. Website and posted times on store said 9 pm is closing. Needless to say I did not get any service, have reported to corporate and will be back to speak with site manager. Very horrible experience! read more

terrible service. i just needed to drop off ink cartridges to be recycled. i thought there were drop off bins in the front but i didn't see them so i went to the cashier to leave them with her. there was a lady at the counter getting rung up and another lady waiting. no big deal except the cashier didn't know how to ring up the lady at the register. i don't know what she was doing but she wasn't making any progress! waited, and waited.... finally she called her boss and he went up there so they can talk about what needed to be done. really? let the guy take care of the lady at the register and help those in line. ugh! never again. read more
