This is a really well stocked, well organized, and convenient OfficeMax location. I was warmly greeted upon entering the store. Four different staff members offered assistance. Bruce at check-out was friendly, helpful, and efficient. This is a really nice location with excellent COVID safety protocols in place. The store itself was clean and modern, and the staff was friendly and helpful. When I decided on a chair they brought it up from the back room. I had found the same chair on Amazon for about $40 less. I asked if they would price-match, and they did - that was an awesome bonus! Needed printing services. Associate told me 10-15 mins wait. After waiting over 30 mins, he was helping a man who had walked in after the associate had begun my 10 min project. This man required several, several minutes of the associates time. In the meantime, I found a female associate on the floor (Lois) and I mentioned that I had waited for a very long time and couldn't someone else help out in the printing area. Her reply was that the associate in the printing department needed to assist the walk-ins and to do so would have to put my own needs on hold. I then spoke to the supervisor who also agreed that the associate had to assist the walk-ins and that my simple project would have to be put on hold. Well, that didn't make me feel like a valued customer. And had the associate completed my project, it would have taken less time that it took him to help the man who came in after me. I think my total waiting time for this small project was over an hour. After which a new manager came on duty, to which I mentioned to her how long I was having to wait and again was told that that walk ins are assisted first. Honestly, how do any of these comments help make me feel like a valued customer? The store should have other associates trained to step in and assist the print department when there are people waiting. But no one in the store said they were trained to work in the print department. I hope in the future that I can avoid coming back to this store. This store doesn't seem to grasp the fact that cross-training is required for the printing department. Also, training needs to be done to help customers feel like their time and needs are valued. read more

I was really in a bind here and couldn't figure out how to make something work. I needed a project cut and was out of time. But, I'm so glad I stopped here. The rep behind the counter really put my needs first. He sat down and cut everything for me by hand and it wasn't an easy task. He didn't just auto run it through a machine. Office Max / Office Depot. I needed passport size pictures from an existing .jpg Called the store and was given an email address to their print center. Cost was literally pennies to print them. A new set of photos would have cost me around $20 I emailed the attachment and picked up the prints in under an hour. The staff at the print center were courteous and knowledgeable. They seemed to have a good amount of work to keep them occupied, shows that the business is running well. Happy to see a local store doing good. read more

Talk about price gouging! Even the sales associates admit the prices are outrageous. And why do you not price match Amazon? Amazon sellers are authorized dealers just as you are?! The Printing Department is full of unhappy, miserable employees. Kate, was the only friendly attentive team member. Everyone else was awful. Kat, the supervisor was so unfriendly and unhelpful. I came in looking for recommendations not criticism and ignorant comments. The team was very irritated with my project and made it seem impossible. Then I gave them another chance when I received an email saying they could do it! I came back in and paid. After that, I get a call saying that my book needs to be two books... why wasn't I told that when I paid? So I go in to pick it up and it's not ready... then I'm told "I didn't tell you it was ready" very rudely. So I left shopped next door, and came back... STILL NOT FINISHED!! Everyone there is awful, miserable and unprofessional- this is the worst place for printing needs. read more

One of the cashiers that I've been to a few times has an attitude and seems unhappy. One of the workers on the floor tried to help me with something, but I didn't go with his suggestion because I would have been spending a ton more money. Other than that, the store is clean and organized. The copy area people seem knowledgeable but very busy and there can be long lines due to lack of staff. I walked out without being helped after waiting 15-20 minutes. The store usually has coupons or good deals. read more
