He packed up a bulky shipment for the customer ahead of me and was careful to mark it as heavy so that the Fed Ex pickup person wouldn't injure themselves. Avoids this place at all cost. This place does not deserve any star at all. The owner is an old man with very poor attitude. My wife took my son for passport picture today. He took it very poorly the first time. When my wife asked him to take a second one, he was very unwilling and gave her such a hard time. My poor wife did not know how to respond as she is not used to dealing with people who are unreasonable and rude. So she ended up getting a picture with very poor quality. I like coming here because of the owner, Tom knows what he is doing and he is extremely nice! Definitely better than going to USPS, or other carrier. Tom spends time to ensure that everything is right, he is very detailed. Very professional. You can compare rates between carriers too. Need to drop off your shipments? He does it for free. Not sure where these 1 star reviews are coming from but Tom is awesome. The other day I swung by after looking for local copier services as I needed a copy of 2 large documents and 2 documents printed from a USB stick. The service was fast considering that these were two 100+ page documents. When he tended to another customer he let me know as to not make me feel ignored (which I never did). He even threw him a free envelope to hold my documents so they wouldn't get ruined. It's pretty tough to find a good copier/courier that is local and reasonable in prices too. I wouldn't hesitate to come here again in the future. Don't believe the crappy reviews, the service here is excellent. read more

I came in to print a design on rice paper for my surfboard before it gets glassed. The guy working at the desk was very annoyed with the abnormal request. He was a real jerk to me and my friend. I've gone to multiple printing service stores for resumes and other needs that I've had and I have never come across a more disgruntled experience with a clerk. I just had the best shipping experience of my life. I won't be going back to the post office, if I don't have to. Tom helped me ship a bunch of things - The first shipment was some baby stuff, including a mini gym mat (not small) and the second shipment was a couple keyboards and some signage that also didn't fit into any USPS shipping box. He carefully cut both boxes down to size (the first box was completely customized - I can't tell you how impressed I am) and assembled them to ensure that things didn't move around and also to save me money. Our office is looking for a more personable place that than Kinkos or Fedex printing places. I was very surprised that I was greeted well and did not have to wait in a very long line. Tom was very helpful when I told him that I had to have my plans printed quickly. He later told me some other service I was inquiring and realized that he charges only half of the price that other big printing stores charge. He even gives Architects, Engineers and Contractors a discounted price! Parking is almost always available and if you walk, you can always find free parking. Just watch out for the power lines as all the pigeons sit on top and your car can be bombed with pigeon poop. I do not hesitate recommending this place to fellow co-workers and friends! read more

The owner is very nice. I've only received wonderful customer service and I have been here a few times, its a nice alternative to the post office. I would recommend this place to the locals and anyone who swings by in town, the prices are reasonably and at times lower than the corporate places. Pro: Life is better with Offix Edge. I needed to find a way to receive deliveries. UPS will stick an "attempted delivery" notice on doors in my neighborhood, without so much as knocking or pushing the doorbell, and drive off. Not always, because sometimes they will dump the package on the stairs, available to anyone passing by. This happens even if I stay home waiting for the delivery. This is why I found Offix Edge. If I have something heavy, I'll pay for the metered spaces, else I have always been able to find free parking nearby. Con: They are not close to my home, but I can't fault them for that. Everything is good, but I do feel that his rates are a bit higher. I did some math calculations for USPS and the Chinese carrier that he recommends. But it's not that big an issue for me. I gave it 3 stars, because he asked for $1 for a free USPS priority box. If I knew earlier, I should just go to regular USPS office. The $1 goes to his pocket? I know it's a $1 only, but c'mon! I understand if it's fedex or UPS boxes, since you said we are an independent store. Yes, he always does looks grumpy, but I'm patient and never rush him. I think a more smiley happy attitude will be nicer and welcoming. read more

Dropped off a UPS pickup for a return and Tom gave me the run down on all their services. Wow! Very professional, curteous and friendly. Why are most SF shipping centers so surly? They should be like Tom. I will be going here from now on for all my dipping needs. I may even rent the flexible work spaces if we have visitors staying in our guest bedroom/office and I will definitely use their secure ship to feature for $1.50 per pkg so things aren't left on my doorstep. read more

I've been a regular customer for the past 4-5 years so this review is way past due. I rented a mailbox for several years, and still go to the store to mail packages to avoid the long lines at the Post Office. I have to say I'm surprised at some of the bad reviews.
