The menu is MASSIVE! I would recommend previewing it on its website rather than being overwhelmed by all of the choices. I ordered the Tri-Tip-Dip Deluxe. The ciabatta was fabulous. The beef tender. I loved the grilled onions, mushrooms and Swiss cheese option. VERY GOOD! I had delicious sweet potato fries. Awesome! Creamy inside and crispy crunch on the outside. Best sweet potato fries I've had yet in the KCMO area. My husband enjoyed Bob's Big Burger Deluxe with Blue Cheese. He shared a bite with me. The burger was JUICY and grilled to perfection. He chose French fries and scarfed 'em up. I would happily have given this place a five star review. But for some reason, 90% of the patrons were all seated in one area - OUR area. While our sweet server was running her tail off, attempting to meet all of our and others needs, three servers were chit chatting in plain sight. I blame the manager on duty for lacking organizational discipline. #btw - the sandwiches were so large, we will order just one next time and share! This first visit, we were able to enjoy our leftovers the next day for lunch.

I got the chicken avocado club, and it was real chicken that didn't taste like the typical processed crap. The burger was excellent and cooked to order. The team was very busy having multiple tables at once, the bartender as well she had the bar and a section or two of tables, she was nice enough to advise us of that. I like when servers and everyone are honest and don't leave you hanging, we had enough time to review the menu we ordered drinks and our food, the wait for the food was awhile but with it because it was so good! I ordered the chicken biscuit with the hot honey chipotle sauce with a scrambled egg on top. The food was amazing! And even though the bartender was busy she was helpful and friendly, I would definitely recommend this place is your in downtown Kansas City, next time I'm in town I will definitely be back!

Definitely make a reservation if you're visiting on a Saturday or Sunday, or you'll be stuck waiting on the sidewalk! My favorite dish is the Tuscan Benedict! It's unique and delicious - especially the focaccia it is served on! They have several very delicious vegetarian options as well! Parking is hard on River Market on the weekends, so incorporate brunch into a whole day of adventure in River Market. Parking is more accessible on weekdays.

In my opinion, $22 for an Easter brunch buffet should mean hot food that won't run out. Unfortunately that wasn't the case. Our party of 10 arrived at 11:00am and all of the food in the buffet was cold. Even when they'd bring more of a certain item to replace on the buffet line, it wasn't warm. The only item that was hot was the prime rib at the carving station. Being pregnant, I felt extremely uncomfortable eating cold buffet food due to the increased risk of food poisoning, so I wasn't able to enjoy much beyond the room temperature biscuits and the last scrapings of the white gravy along with some green beans that were warmish. Defintely not worth the $22 a person. They also ran out of carrot cake on Easter of all holidays, which was a disappointment. We probably won't be back for a buffet at Sandy's, which is a shame because our family has eaten their Mother's Day buffet several times and it had been fine (not stellar, but fine). Also, just a personal opinion, but the constant use of bad AI pictures on their Facebook is so cringey. The Boomers might like it, but the younger crowd sees this sort of stuff and thinks "yikes." We'd rather see real pictures of your real food, not a cartoon depiction.

The women working the cashier was very kind and helpful. Absolutely fantastic quality of food and coffee! Our whole group was impressed with everything that we ordered. The stand out was the bacon Gouda sandwich on some phenomenal ciabatta bread. The bagel was outstanding. The pastry case was drool worthy and we'll have to come back to eat through it. Price wise its a bit on the pricey side but worth it for the quality you're receiving. Lots of free street parking available. Note for the cold brew lovers - they don't serve cold brew so be ready with your back up order.

It's small but not too small with the outdoor and upstairs seating. I was quickly greeted by the very friendly staff after walking in. I asked "what's the best thing on the menu if I was never to be here again (I'm a driver and likely won't)" and she said the bacon Gouda and boy oh boy was it good! The bacon was very high quality and so was the bread. The cheese was super melted and made the almost garlic buttery mayo taste even better. I would highly recommend it and would recommend this place!!

But when I pay the kind of prices they charge at Silo, I need to be wowed and I just haven't been the two times we've dined here--hence, only 4 stars. We hit the club for brunch with a group, and while the ambiance was pure "Country Club Chic," the execution was a bit more "Sunday Morning Sand Trap." The Liquid Courage I started off my round with two drinks. the Bloody Mary. It was fine--tasty enough, but it certainly didn't change my life or inspire any poetry. However, things got interesting with their Tequila/Cold Brew/Liquor 43 concoction. Topped with an egg foam cap, it was actually pretty solid. A bit of a gamble, but sometimes you have to roll the dice when the menu is trying that hard. The Culinary "Hit and Miss" Then came the food, or as I like to call it: The Great Consistency Crisis. The Steak: I asked for medium-rare; I received medium-well with a "char" that felt more like a personal vendetta against the cow. The Potatoes: Apparently, potato portions are determined by a lottery system. I received about half the amount of the person next to me. Maybe I didn't look hungry enough? The Eggs: My over-easy eggs had crispy, hard edges and arrived at a temperature I'd describe as "lukewarm at best." We also had to hunt down salt and pepper like we were on a scavenger hunt. Honestly, I probably should have just hit the buffet and cut out the middleman. The Service Our server was perfectly nice, but he appeared to be roughly twelve years old. Since he wasn't legally old enough to understand the complexity of a craft cocktail, he couldn't give us any info on the drink menu. We just had to "go with our gut"--which is a dangerous game when tequila and cold brew are involved. The Verdict I'm not saying I won't be back, but consider this a fair warning: if Round 2 involves another charred steak and a side of "room temperature" eggs, I'll be sending it back for a rerun faster than a shanked drive into the woods. 3/5 Stars -- Great for people-watching, questionable for potato-equity.
