We ordered OG dumping House through door dash and we were so pleasantly surprised and happy! They offer so many different types of dumplings it was hard to choose. The red bean buns made me feel like I was back in China or Korea. The soup dumplings were delicious even though I believe them when they say they are better at the restaurant. I can't wait to eat there in person. I am still thinking about their pork belly bao buns! They did something I've never had before which was a peanut sauce with the pork and it was simply incredible. I dined here on their first day open. We went later on, around 7:30pm. The food took a bit to come, but it was delicious. I enjoyed the scallion pancakes and the veggie noodle broth bowl with fried tofu added. The broth had so much flavor, which is usually bland elsewhere. The veggies were perfectly cooked and the tofu was perfect. The scallion pancakes were also delicious. They would have been even better if they came with a sauce! I understand that this restaurant just opened. I was impressed with how neat and organized restaurant. My big disappointment is I see a lot more limited choices on the menu because they happen to not have these food available. It is not what we should expect from a restaurant. When we ordered food. My mom noticed that her soup was not made by homemade broth because she can tell it was MSG which is its instant soup. Scallion pancakes were only 4 slices which we would expect for more even though they taste good . The restaurant have a lot of things that needed to work out such as increasing stocks in food that can serve people food... don't do shortcuts with food.... need to do things that will leave customers big impression that we all will come back. read more

What a gem we found by default! Place we were going to was only doing lunch takeout, so we chose this place. Server was great in attitude and knowledge of menu items. We ordered Vegetable PadThai, Soup Dumplings, Crab and Pork fried dumplings, shrimp shumai and pork belly on bao buns, and scallion pancake. The only item I didn't really like was the pad Thai. Sauce was very thin and very sweet. Noodles were cut short so hard to eat. Nonetheless it was loaded with veggies, egg, bean sprouts. The bao buns were phenomenal crispy with hoisin, scallion and peanuts. Soup dumplings were fun and delicious! Shumai, pancakes and crab pork dumplings were so tasty as was the sauce that came with them. Prices are extremely reasonable, and food was hot. We can't wait to go back! read more

My sister and I stopped here for lunch. It was about 1:30 pm on a Saturday. It was so busy we thought we would have to wait a while, but we got seated right away. The place was hopping the whole time we were there. Frank took our order and brought us each dish as it was finished cooking. We ordered dumplings, bao, steamed buns and pork lowmein. We've actually been to the Dumpling House twice, but I neglected to write a review the first time, although they certainly deserved some compliments. First, if you confuse this place with a fast food restaurant, you will be very impatient with the service. I suggest you order a pot of tea or glass of wine and wait a while for your meal. They cook to order and you will have your food fresh and hot. And now to the subject of Pork Belly Rolls. Oh my, it's one of those dishes that make you sigh with longing when the last bite is consumed. They are just plain perfect. Who doesn't love the texture of the roll? The pork is cooked just right and the sauce is tantalizing. On both visits, my husband and I have split an order of two. Some day I'm going to eat nothing but Pork Belly Rolls and skip an entre. Speaking of entres, I had the Dan Dan Noodles and will have difficulty ordering anything else on subsequent visits. I love the beautiful tea pot, cups and bowls. Little things like that enhance the experience. Our server knew the menu well and was efficient and cordial. She brought us a complimentary dish of freshly pickled vegetables, mainly thinly sliced cabbage and julienne carrots. It cleansed the palette after eating spicy, hot food. One note about the menu; it has been pared down considerably. I think they needed to operate their business for a while to ascertain which dishes were going to be popular. I'm a sucker for a great dumpling! I got a fried dumplings and a couple other. I did not get soup dumplings. It's an ok place! I'm kinda picky about dumplings and im not used to how think the dough was on these. Maybe just preference. I would recommend to go here still. It was good. We thought we'd give the Dumpling House a try, and we're glad we did. The dumplings were hot and fresh, even when we ordered ahead and brought it home. It was such a hit that we ordered it 2 days in a row. A few things to note. 1. The food is good but portions are a bit small. My 3 year old could eat almost 2 servings of the xiao long bao. 2. They always have a special menu when you walk it, be sure to look over it because there are some tasty dishes on there. 3. If you order online, grubhub marks up all the dishes anywhere from 50 cents to $1.50. If you're ordering many dishes this can inflate your bill by alot. You can order from beyondmenu instead and as far as i can tell they do NOT mark up the prices. Definitely will be coming back in the future. read more

Before I begin, I must say that this is an example as to why I should not judge a restaurant from the outside alone. In a former Mighty Taco, the outside does not look much different but inside, wooden facades help soften the interiors and warms it up. As there are so many good items we tried, I have to list them individually: Fried beef brisket buns - Its a yeast bun folded in half, kind of like a taco with thin slices of brisket. Salty and tender with the soft dough. I ordered it without cucumber but I believe that would add the slight crunch to give different textures. Crab Rangoon - Normally in other places the inside would have green onions but this version had diced sweet onions. That balanced the saltiness of the creamy crab mixture. The dough was crispy and light; not greasy. Pork & Chive steamed dumpling and House steamed dumpling - Very similar dumplings except the House had shrimp in addition. The dough was thin yet kept everything inside. The pork was tender and shrimp slight bite. Xiao Long Bao (Soup dumplings) - WARNING...don't do what I did and eat it as soon as it arrives. the fault was entirely on my part, not the restaurant. Once I let the next one cool for a few minutes, it has a thick broth inside. Essentially this is treated like a one bite amuse bouche of soup, dough and what I believe was pork inside. Pork Bao - A fully enclosed yeast dumpling which was almost the size of a fist and it came with 3 of those. The dough was very soft, the filling was steamy, and the pork practically melted in your mouth. Conclusion, the food was incredible. The flavor and quality was reminiscent of something you would find in the center of Chinatown in NYC. I must give the server great credit as well. She was handling all the tables solo and poor thing even apologized to us for the wait, which there was a very minimal wait for food; I think the first items came around 10-15 min. Dont quote me but I was told by a friend if you order online and go to pick up, you can still use the drive thru window that was left when it was a Mighty Taco. Nice to know if this is true, you can swing by and grab your take out without going in while we still are careful with Covid. read more

My wife and I found a second trip to The Dumpling House was required. Not because there was a problem, but because we enjoyed our first visit so much. We started our meal with a pot of green tea and we shared an order of Steamed Pork Belly Buns. These are delicious and the texture just knocks me out. Maybe I'm easily amused. For my entree, I rolled the dice and went with a second appetizer. Since they're pretty generous with helpings here, I chose Szechuan Wonton. The menu said they were in a spicy sesame oil. I LOVE sesame/pepper oil, so I looked forward to this one. No doubt about it, I chose right. These were pork filled wontons in a wonderful spicy oil sauce. And there were enough to make a meal. One note here. On our first visit I thought I noticed a bit of a heavy vinegar flavor in my order. I noticed it again and I think I can trace it to a spice in the pork filling. No big deal, but worth a mention. Our server was attentive and friendly and met our every need. At the end of our meal, she brought us a small dish with a pickled cabbage/carrot combo that was really tasty. It's a great way to finish up a spicy meal and calm your taste buds down a bit. I can tell that The Dumpling House will be moving closer to the top of our rotation list. The menu has been reduced a bit, but I suspect that was just to streamline a bit. I'm always amazed by the service and quality of food at OG Dumpling. The pork belly buns, Szechuan wontons, and shrimp soup dumplings are a favorite. We've tried many of the items off the menu and other than the scallion pancake (greasy), we've enjoyed them all. The servers are prompt and very nice every time we are there. Really enjoyed this Chinese restaurant. Had pork and Napa cabbage dumplings, plus crab and pork xiao long bao dumplings. Great flavor and sauces. For main dish I had Dan Dan Noodles. We ordered the fried beef brisket buns, pork and chive dumplings and soup dumplings. All staff were wearing masks and they had a qr code for the menu vs paper which was cool. The brisket buns were the highlight. The beef was tender and the bun had so much flavor. I wish there had been a sauce or that the cucumber was pickled - would've taken it over the top! How cynical that I actually waited for this relatively new (2019) restaurant to fail during Covid and so avoided it. Well, it didn't fail and I finally decided to give it a try. Now I know why it made it through. This is a terrific little counter service catering to the local college crowd, serving up authentic Asian street food. My vegetable chow mein was not the Americanized celery / onion stew served with crunchy noodles. Instead, it was an eclectic mix of vegetables, expertly wok seared, with hot tossed chow mein, perfectly seasoned and loaded with wok hei. My house dumplings looked like regular dim sum in the outside, but were full of rich, flavorful meats and vegetables. This is no fancy sit down, though there are plenty of tables. If you are looking for an Asian ambience, this is not the place. It was my first time visiting. I walked in and was thrown off by the Paris themed decor, and sucky music. Whatever. I was SUPER excited to try dumplings for the first time. I was the only one there so my waiter was attentive and prompt. Once my friend arrived 30 minutes later, we had a different waiter. He was not prompt or attentive. We saw him sweeping the floor before he came over to take out order. I kindly asked if he would wash his hands before taking our order and serving us. It's only right for so many reasons. He complied but walked away rolling his eyes, with a terrible attitude; the service was downhill from there. He NEVER came back to our table after he dropped our food off. When we finished our meal we sat there waiting for 10 minutes for him to bring the check. We assumed we were supposed to pay up front so we began gathering our stuff to pay. THEN a waiter (not ours) appeared with our check. It was not busy in the restaurant. Cons: *Food: tasteless, bland, totally unimpressive, disappointing *Service: terrible and inconvenient *Ambience: 0 stars; felt like an all-American burger joint instead of a restaurant inspired by the exoticism and delightful ness of Asia Pros: the sake came in a really cute re-usable glass. First time trying this and wow! We ordered several appetizers and two entrees (dan Dan noodles and chicken chowfun). Entrees have generous portions, so it was nice to have leftovers for lunch. I also really liked the different textures in the food to break up any potential monotony (or whatever the texture equivalent of monotony is). The fried brisket buns were really good, as were the spring rolls, both of which had substantial filling. Will definitely try the pork belly buns next time.
