Never in a million years would I have imagined the life changing experience Ogle has brought me. The community I built, administrators I met, teachers I learned from and classmates I bonded with have honestly changed my life and my future in the beauty industry. Now I will say, I lucked up by being apart of the best class in Ogle Willowbrook history and everyone may not be have that luxury of bonding with the women they meet in this program. Myself and 16 other women spent 5 months together in Ogle's esthetician program. We laughed, cried, prayed, gained new techniques, serviced clientele in the school's spa, and learned more than we ever knew coming in. I truly thought I was knowledgeable about basic skincare, but after diving deeper into topics such as cleaning and disinfection, safety procedures, skin analysis, skin conditions, facial treatments, and skincare products, I knew Ogle was a great decision for me. I believe the administrators such as Ms. Stanley and Ms. Leviege were very open minded to the changes that the school needed within the aesthetics department. They were always open to conversation with students and care greatly about the needs we have to better the school. I saw no lack in professionalism within admin. My favorite instructor from my experience was Ms. Goss, but all esthetics instructors like Ms. Holland, Ms. Meagan, Ms. Roslyn, brought their own spin into the classroom and put forth the effort to teach us techniques that better prepared us to pass the TDLR exam. I learned a lot about facial treatments and devices and had so much fun in Ms. Goss's class practicing with the tools in the spa. My favorite device was the microdermabrasion machine. I never knew dead skin could be removed on the face in such a cool way. I even had clients prebook me for this service. Ms. Goss was an amazing instructor and is very humble with her approach to student success. She was very thorough with her questioning to make sure student's comprehended what we were being taught. She was also very observant during our spa time and time with clients. Thank you Ms. Goss for being so great. As I prepare to take my state board exam this month, I feel nervous but prepared for the exam. The Elevate website that houses all of our esthetician resources is helpful for taking practice tests, gaining beauty business knowledge, and finding a job. I will soon be employed with a skincare company that is up and coming as a business consultant and I also plan to work in a spa or salon once licensed so that I can continue to practice and keep investing in my business and brand. I was at a nearby business and saw the Ogle School at Willowbrook in Houston, TX. I wanted my hair done in a two-strand twist style and decided to stop in to see if they could do it. I was pleasantly surprised to find that I was wrong for assuming there wouldn't be anyone there that would know how to do it. There was diversity: Black, Latino and White students. I also thought beauty schools only want to work with strong chemicals, heat and hair installations. WRONG AGAIN! For $45, my hair was washed, conditioned, lightly dried with a hand-held blow dryer and then twisted. The school had a collegiate and fun vibe. Most of the students seemed excited and happy to be there. I was assigned to a young lady named Tia. She inspected my scalp, and we discussed what I wanted done. I described a simple side-parted bob style for my twist. I explained my preference for the size of the twists (small, medium or large). I wasn't certain if Tia got it as the twists looked kind of thinner than I wanted but the end result was well beyond my hope and expectation. It came out very beautiful. Tia did an Excellent job. OVERALL: EXCELLENT! I am very pleased with the diverse staff, students and services offered at a great price. The downside for a customer is that the student does graduate. If they don't settle in a convenient location for you, you won't be able to return to that operator, and even if they do, they certainly don't have to charge what the school charged you. SUGGESTION: You can make an appointment rather than signing in and waiting for a random operator. If the stylist/operator does a great job, help build their confidence and give them a tip. read more

As a student paying thousands of dollars, this school lacks in providing proper education, lacks in providing proper materials needed to service client needs, we have to dig in our own pockets to purchase the missing materials. We have gone weeks without a teacher like are you serious. WE ARE PAYING FOR NO EDUCATION. Please don't come here, they even fired one of the best teachers we had because Leviege and Stanley do not think about their students just of themselves. Our beautiful teacher who took us on field trips, provided us with her own equipment, did demos for anything we would've asked for they fired her because she spoke up for her students, and made our voices loud. So now here we are again with a subsitute teacher who doesn't care about our education the way our previous teacher did. They infact hid products and materials from us up until our teacher spoke up -after months STANLEY finally pulled them out. The school failed to provide us with clean linen, non-ripped towels, wax sticks,the back bar products were always empty. This school needs new admin-COMPLETLY They are the reason the students can't comply with rules because they have bad managing skills. As soon as TDLR walks in they put up a front like we are being taken care of. HORRIBLE!!! I do not recommend going here at all don't waste your money at this school, starting with administration including Stanley Nolan, Rachel Young, Stephanie Leviege, and Alicia. The admin staff would rather care about their selves than hear the students, they only care for profit. Our opinions don't matter, we've tried to speak on our behaves as students to admin and Stanley, Leviege, and Alicia take it as disrespect and "threat". We spend so much money on a school that can not provide a backbar for clients, dirty ripped towels, ripped and stained sheets, broken steamers, broken lamps and broken facial tools. Let's not forget about the pick and choose!! Admin allows a number of students to do as they please, while others are being told strict rules being numbered out. Last thing, they fired THE BEST teacher, who honored the students as adults and made a statement of our opinions because we couldn't. Which was leading us to success, guiding us through the last month with proper education to become the best versions of ourselves. I had a 60-minute facial with Lyla at the Ogle School in Willowbrook, and it was an absolutely amazing experience! From the moment I walked in, I felt at peace. The atmosphere was so calming, with gentle spa music playing--think waterfalls and birds singing--and the dimmed lights added to the serenity. Lyla's attention to detail truly stood out. Not only did she make my skin feel and look better than ever, but she also took the time to care for my neck, shoulders, arms, and scalp, even giving my hands a soothing massage. Her touch was perfect, making me feel completely comfortable and relaxed throughout the entire session. This was by far the best facial and massage experience I've had, and I'm already planning to return every month until Lyla graduates. I truly enjoyed my experience attending Ogle Willowbrook. Cosmetology program All of my instructors were wonderful. Ms. Hollands, Ms. Gee, Mrs Hickman and Ms Mona are amazing instructors and I've learned so much from them during my time there. I really appreciate Ms Hickman and Director Ms Young so much for pushing me out of my comfort zone. I participated in Face Off and my team came in 3rd place!! Exciting!! Then I was selected for Beacon. As long as you have great attendance, do your Elevate assignment, never turn away clients, listen to your instructor and carry yourself successfully, respect your instructors and classmates follow the dress code...Doing all those things not only will time will fly by but you will have fun doing it. I recently graduated in 2021 from Ogle Willowbrook in Oct 2021. The teachers are super nice and skillful. They helped me and many of my classmates prefect our skills and got us test ready for State Board. They help formulate our clients hair colors and help ease our nerves when we feel we can't do a style. Teachers push us to be the very best. Mrs. Young, the school director, helped me find manufacturers to build my haircare line. Mrs. Lashaundra, the clinic service manager, taught me valuable skills with managing clients, product sales, pricing services correctly, overall a incredible mentor. I first came in about a month ago for facial ,and it was such a great experience that I knew I had to come back. I have an area that causes all hair dressers a problem: a flat area about 3 X 2 located back of very top. Really hard to cut short hair to cover. She did a good job.
