This place is pretty run of the mill mediocre with a great proximity to Ogunquit Beach. The food itself was something you could get anywhere except probably for less. The seafood was below average but I enjoyed their fried fish options. Oysters were full of shards and I've had way better pretty much everywhere else. Service is decent, but maybe below average for the amount of workers they had on the floor in comparison to the amount of people that were actually dining. It's also a bit ridiculous that they haven't fixed their menu issue. There's going to be wind at the beach, maybe find a way to not have menus fly out into the ocean pretty much every 5 minutes? The menus are also laminated, so they just sit there to not rot and instead pollute the area. I suggest having some sort of hole puncher and a binder ring to give it weight and perhaps anchor it to something because the issue is getting out of hand. Not the best way to have a beach-side restaurant.

We stopped here for lunch on a whim after the beach around early dinner time and were seated after about 15 minutes on the outdoor deck overlooking the river. We started with the freshly shucked oysters, which were incredibly fresh and delicious, along with the mussels in a creamy wine sauce that were absolutely phenomenal. We also had the caprese salad and split the scallop dinner with mashed potatoes and broccolini. The scallops were fresh, but they were the only thing that could've used a little more flavor. The appetizers were very generous portions, and overall we left really happy with the food. The service was friendly. It slowed down a bit toward the end, but it seemed like our waitress just got busy, so no fault of hers. Overall, we had a great experience and would definitely come back.

    Beautiful view!

Great experience at Beach Lobster House! Attentive service, amazing views and a perfect happy hour to kick off our time in Ogunquit.

This has been my go-to place for lobster rolls for many years. Although the website gives you the choice to join their waitlist, there is a handwritten note when you arrive that says that they don't take reservations. So I generally check their hours of operation and drive there for dinner. Unfortunately in the spring we were turned away although we arrived over 1 hour before they closed as they said they were short- staffed and the kitchen was closing soon. We found a different place to eat and since we parked at the public lot across the street, we found that they were still open and had many customers an hour past their closing time. This time we decided to arrive extra early to avoid the previous situation. It was a sunny warm day but we were informed that the upstairs deck was closed because they were short staffed. We were looking forward to outside dining but the first floor deck is small and all the diners appeared to be having drinks. We choose first available which ended up being inside. When we first sat down, the couple sitting next to us wished us good luck getting our meals in the near future. Apparently all the others customers around arrived after them and they were almost finished with their meals and theirs hadn't arrived. A server offered them a compensatory drink for their inconvenience. One accepted and the other told them that she was done drinking for the day. When their bill arrived, the second customer asked if her drink could be comped. Her request was declined because they said that it would have been applied to the second drink and not to the first. As for our dinner, we went for the colossal lobster roll - hot with butter. We prefer the roll on the side to avoid it getting soggy. The regular lobster roll is currently priced at $35 with 1/4 lbs of meat. The colossal is $45 with 1/2 lbs of lobster meat. Our lobster meat was overcooked as it was slightly rubbery. That's not the quality we have gotten used to from years of visiting this restaurant. They may have had an off day as they were understaffed.

The food was overpriced and disappointing. We paid 50 bucks for a lobster roll that was not colossal despite the name. The lobster bisque came with the smallest bit of lobster and tasted like melted butter. The seafood cioppino was a good portion size and came with a variety of seafood. However, the broth was very sweet.

The location is right off the water with huge windows that brings in a lot of light. The interior is beach themed and the staff were quick to get us seated. There's public paid parking across the street. Got the hot with butter lobster roll that was very fresh and satisfying. For the price, I would have expected slightly more lobster, but if you're hungry, get the colossal. The fries were equally great and the coleslaw was refreshing.

Mayo lobster roll not buttered lobster roll is the way to go. Cold lobster roll not hot lobster roll. After lobster on a salad. Arrive at 11:30 AM to sit down at Noon.

Really nice view from our table upstairs but that's the only nice thing I can say about this place. The service was terrible-someone in my party asked for sweetener for her iced tea and the waitress said she would "have to go downstairs to get it." Talk about a guilt trip! We also ordered truffle parm fries for $2 extra and received plain fries. When I mentioned it to the waitress, her solution was to bring out a truffle parmesan seasoning container and sprinkled it on our fries right at the table. I don't think that's how it works?!?! We were shocked! Save your time and money and go somewhere where the staff actually want to host you.

My friends and I were walking around by the beach and decided to pop into this restaurant. Do they have the best lobster roll in Maine? No. But do they have a really nice location and ambiance? For sure! My friends and I got the lobster roll (the larger one) to share. It was almost like an appetizer. I don't think I'd come back for lobster here, as there are plenty of other options around, but the service was great and we had a nice experience overall. I'd recommend if you're more interested in vibes than the food itself.

Beautiful restaurant, great service and great food! Don't be fool by the size of lobster ravioli! It was so filling! I couldn't finish it. It was delicious and fresh

So lucky to score the corner table with the most amazing view of the water! Scallops with bacon, oysters on the half shell with fresh mignette sauce, seafood chowder, lobster roll, and salmon with an amazing honey sauce were all thoroughly enjoyed by our party. Carly provided great service and was friendly and helpful. We especially enjoyed the "rotating" mango peach cider. Made our heads spin!

We were looking for dinner on the water, and the lobster Rangoons on the menu at Ogunquit Beach Lobster House drew us in! My husband and I were seated, and our server, who also doubled as the bartender, was friendly and attentive. The experience was a little more informal than we were expecting, with us shouting our drink orders to him at the bar from our seat and him talking to the table behind us while refilling our drinks. The Rangoons were definitely worth it and had a very tasty aioli sauce. The clam chowder was delicious, but I've definitely had better bisque. My husband enjoyed his colossal lobster roll, and since I was looking for a change from seafood, I had the vegetable ravioli. They were swimming in a pretty basic tomato sauce, and the dish made me wish I had stuck to seafood instead. The restaurant was beautifully designed inside and the views were fantastic.

What we ordered: -Cornbread: 3/5, great portion to share with the table and piping hot which I loved but wish it was moister and had more honey on top. -Caesar salad: 5/5, incredibly fresh, dressing was delicious and evenly spread among the whole salad, fresh anchovies on top were a nice touch -Crabcakes: 4.8/5, only comes with 2 but the cakes were very fresh and flavorful. The corn on top was very boring I wish they spiced it up a bit but it did not take away from the flavor of the cakes so I kept the score high. -Lobster Pappardelle: 5/5, one of my favorite meals we ate on vacation!! Generous lobster portion with perfectly cooked pappardelle in a very tasty sauce. I already miss it and wish I could eat it again. -Braised Short Rib: 3.8/5, beautiful presentation and everything tasted great but very small polenta/carrot portions and I wish the meat was more tender. It wasn't bad, it just didn't blow my socks off. -Espresso crème brûlée: 4.5/5, was the perfect birthday dessert for my boyfriend and he absolutely loved it. Quality espresso flavor, wish it was a little crispier on top. Food was ~4/5 but our overall experience was 5/5. Our server, Pedro, was so friendly and helped us with dish recommendations. When I told him we were celebrating a birthday, he brought the crème brûlée out with a candle and two other staff members to sing to him which was so sweet. We will definitely come back here next time we're in town!

We took our small family to an early dinner at crooked pine. We made a reservation for 4:30 (one of…read morethe few times they had available on this rainy day). We sat at a table by the window on the first floor. We overheard that there is an upstairs bar, not sure if they also seat folks for dinner there. We were able to place an order right after getting settled. We enjoyed the Sun mocktail, charred beet salad, mac and cheese, fried codd sandwich, steak frites, and corn ravioli (without the pancetta). My spouse is gluten free and I am vegetarian so we are always looking for restaurants that can accommodate both. The charred beet salad was good but I think dressed a bit too heavily. I thought the corn ravioli and sun mocktail were both great. The kids (ages 1.5 and 5) liked the Mac and cheese and fried cod sandwich. They did not have any appropriate booster seats for the 1.5 year old so my spouse held him. My spouse loved the steak frites but I think wished had a few more "frites" given the amount of interest from the younger crowd. Our waiter was wonderful and also brought some orange slices from the bar for the kids. We were very grateful. We decided to go nearby for ice cream after dinner, but I heard there is a dessert menu.
