What an outstanding location for dinner. With a view of Ogunquit Beaches south end and food that was super fresh, unique, and well presented. Educative Chef Martin Mace really delivered. The entire staff was friendly and engaging and made this dining experience one my friends and Mrs. are still talking about. This family owned and run resort has the quintessential Maine Charm.

This was the best lunch we've had so far on our trip! I ordered the Caprese sandwich on gluten-free bread and it was absolutely delicious, 10/10. The service was excellent as well. To get to the restaurant, you enter through the front door of the inn and it's located right inside. Serving the public as well. Prices were fair overall, with a mix of casual options and some high-end items. Definitely worth a stop!

We recently went on a visit to Maine for the day. We arrived early on a Saturday morning and parked our car in the public lot in the center of town and we started walking towards Perkins Cove looking for a place to eat breakfast. As we were walking we saw a sign for the Blue Bistro and noticed it was located at The Beachmere Resort, we had spent a lovely night at the beautiful Beachmere decades ago when we were first married and we decided we would have breakfast there. The Blue Bistro was actually a little bit of a walk from the main road but it's right on the Marginal walkway. We asked for an outside table as it was a beautiful day. We both had an excellent breakfast with good service. We really enjoyed looking out at the beautiful lawn and flowers and could see the passerby's walking the Marginal. We would stop again when we visit!

Finding breakfast in Ogunquit can sometimes be a bit of a challenge as dine-in spots fill up quickly (by 9AM, good luck!) and take-out spots are queued up (even with phone-in orders, they are swamped). Blue Bistro is a lot less crowded, being part of the Beachmere Inn, and a bit of a ways off the main road. So head there as an alternative to the crowds, and although you might wonder where this place is (it's part of the main lobby of the Beachmere), once you arrive, try to grab an outdoor table as you get a beautiful view of the water by doing so. Service is very friendly and attentive, although the preparation of the meal was a bit leisurely. But what the heck, you've got gloriously clement weather, a gorgeous view, and a relaxed, peaceful atmosphere in which to sip your coffee and orange juice. When the food does come, it's worth the wait: well-seasoned home fries, good bacon and sausages, cooked to order eggs just as you like it. Yeah, not a bad life after all ...

Had breakfast at the Bistro yesterday. It was clear that they were short handed in the Bisrro and in the kitchen as they were having trouble keeping up with everyone. One of the servers was in training so that slowed down the experienced server. Seating was both inside and out which complicated things even more with two servers. Finally someone whom I'm going to assume was the manager showed up amid the chaos and told people that the kitchen was backed up and there would be a wait, no time given on how long. Enough about the servers, can't fault the two that were working their butts off trying to keep up with in person orders, take out orders, and drink orders. We ordered the Texas Toast French toast with bananas and maple syrup (additional charge) and the eggs Benedict with a side of bacon. Wait time was long for the meals to arrive and when they did the French toast was cold and the eggs had eggshells in them. Back they went to appear some time later this time wit both dishes being considerably hotter. Along with the meals we ordered teas. Single cups were $1.00, endless cups were $3.00. We asked for hot water twice, once a little pot each came and the last time a large carafe of hot water appeared. We were each charged $3.00 for the endless tea, guess the extra charge was for the large pot of water. Would have been better had we just ordered individual teas. Conclusion is that we won't visit fir breakfast anytime soon given what we observed and the quality of meals.

I…read morecalled and made a reservation a couple of weeks ahead of our visit (we were there on a Monday night, and in the restaurant area it was pretty quiet - just us and one other table). First things first - parking is super easy, it's a free valet service (not obvious at first, as there is parking behind the restaurant, but you're greeted right away when you pull in). We walked through the bar area, over to the restaurant area (surprisingly the bar was quite full), and were able to choose a table by one of the two fireplaces. On the restaurant side, it feels very cozy, and homey, exactly where you want to spend a cold night, inside eating dinner. Our server was lovely, greeted us right away and provided menus. I started with a cosmo (they had flavored versions like strawberry, but I elected to go for the classic). For an appetizer, we started with the bacon wrapped scallops - the bacon was maple glazed, and wonderfully crispy, with the scallops cooked perfectly, and some micro-greens scattered on the plate - delicious. For entrees, my mom had the baked seafood stuffed haddock which came with a lobster sherry cream sauce, a massive pile of perfectly cooked green beans, and mashed potatoes (yum). I went with the duck special, which was absolutely delightful. It came with Brussels sprouts, and I subbed out the au gratin (I very strongly dislike sweet potatoes), for mashed potatoes. It was delicious. We were so full, we opted for dessert to go (chocolate cake), which was generously portioned, and decadently delicious. We really enjoyed the meal - this was a wonderful dinner to celebrate my mom's 80th birthday!

Excellent tuna steak with Asian noodles. Great service at the bar and good beer and wine choices…read more Also the place where the locals congregate. I'm very glad I chose it.

They allow you to eat with your dog as long as you're on their outside patio. We ordered the: breakfast burrito, the crab saratoga, and the morning blt. I couldn't decided between the crab saratoga or the maple walnut French toast. Our server said I could substitute the toast that comes with the crab saratoga with a half order of the French toast so I was able to try both. My favorite was the morning blt it was absolutely delicious. Highly recommend that sandwich. The maple French toast was my second favorite. The crab saratoga I ordered based off all the other reviews but it was just ok to me. Not bad but wouldn't order again. Service could've been a bit better; our server was nice but she barely checked on us, took a long time to take our order, and we had to ask for everything (more water, napkins, plates etc) but to be fair it was busy. They even gave our dog a piece of bacon just because he was a good boy.

It's a place that excels at great food, drinks, and camaraderie. The martini was a highlight. The cocktail glass was expertly chilled, and the beverage was vigorously shaken and then perfectly strained. It was finished with an even number of soft, salty olives. The attention to detail was impressive. The food was equally memorable. The staff was conscientious and knowledgeable, and I was thrilled to take advantage of the seafood specials.
