Even though it was a little bit of a wait since it was such a busy night, the food was well worth the wait. Altogether, we ordered hand cut cheesy fries, double burger, caesar salad, lemonade, and brown sugar maple cake to go. Everything was so delicious. I have a sweet tooth, and the maple cake was so unique and delicious. I'd go back just for that! While waiting, the staff gave us our drink early and refilled it for us during our wait. They were friendly and helpful throughout the process. The space itself is a homey, modern vibe. There's a fair amount of indoor seating, as well as a patio. Adorable place, food looks great but I wouldn't know how it tastes because we waited almost 1 hr and never got our food. I completely understand that this is a brand new spot and they're working out opening kinks, so I just wanted to provide my 2 cents after over 2 decades in the restaurant business: A) happy kids = happy customers. Just ship some fries out to the table at the very least to keep the kids from going nuts. B) Turn OFF your delivery aggregators while you're working through the first few weeks of opening. Outside orders mean you're not serving the customers in front of you and creating unnecessary burden on the kitchen. Alternately, do a soft open with JUST delivery to understand the cadence of your customer base. C) If you don't have enough staff to seat customers outside, don't do it. Rather quote a 60 min wait and turn folks away until you're prepared. I hope I get the chance to try your menu, because it looks great, but it won't be for another year - so I hope you take these operational recommendations into considerations and genuinely wish you folks success. read more

It seemed as though every staff member we interacted with tried to outdo their predecessor in customer service and just plain friendliness. Our server, Tony was great. He was very attentive without being intrusive, and was perfect with his check-backs and water refills. Our dinner was an order of Skinny Chicken ($26) - two pan seared chicken breasts. lemon, capers, garlic, and an arugula salad, and a Single Patty Smash Burger with cheese ($13.25) on a potato bun with shaved lettuce, onion, homemade pickles and kettle chips. My chicken was excellent. The portion was very generous and the preparation was perfect. It was moist and juicy, and that lemon sauce was amazing. My wife enjoyed her burger, and I have to admit that I mooched a few of the homemade kettle chips and they were beyond terrific. In town for a show at the playhouse with a little time to kill. Had heard about a great little burger and fry joint and had to give it a go and boy oh boy I am glad I did! Service was quick, friendly and full of recommendations to try. Heard that fish tacos were back on the menu and always a hit. They were fresh and delicious! Always like to grab fiddleheads when on a menu and these were fresh/cooked perfectly and a great addition with the tacos. Always a fan of a tasty poutine and I couldn't leave without trying fries at a place called Sea Salt Fry Co so went all out with duck fat fries with the duck confit as well. I wanted to lick the plate clean!!! Small establishment and imagine the summer season seating will be difficult to find with the flavors and variety on menu. The casual atmosphere and very family friendly style was great for the dinner experience. Chef made his rounds as well to ensure everyone was enjoying their experience and is clearly passionate about what he does and supporting the local market with ingredients and dish items. The sorbet is from a locally sourced establishment. Yes, it is a little more than a quick bite burger place but in my opinion well worth it for the flavor and the experience here! Drew was our server. I ordered a double burger with a bunch of extras including jalapenos, carmelized onions and bacon. The wait to order and get the food was long but it was Friday night ~7pm. I got my burger which was now a single without camelized onions. I live in Taiwan and was super excited for a American burger and was disappointed with these errors. Drew sent the burger back and the second patty was super dry. Definitely not worth the $27 charged for the burger. Disappointed Drew didn't double check the order before serving it then he blamed the kitchen. The manager or owner asked about our meal, I explained above he apologized, it would have been nice for some kind of discount for the mistakes. Absolutely the best gluten-free fish and chips in Maine. Caesar salad with pan sear chicken was also excellent, could've used a few anchovies on the side. Cocktails a bit pricey at $12 for Tito's and soda. The chef is often in the dining room and checks on customers to see how they enjoyed their food. He even runs food out of the kitchen when it gets they get backed up. Ambience is cozy because it is very small. Indoor space. They do open their outdoor patio tomorrow. This is exactly the kind of place you stumble upon and immediately want to visit again and start telling everyone about. Chef/owner Norman has built something truly special here, dedication was on full display with every plate. I came with the family and started off with one of the specials, tuna tartare cannolis which were nothing short of spectacular and elegant, showing off all the skill back in the kitchen (hoping they stay around as a staple). I ordered the double patty smashburger with Vermont cheddar and caramelized onions which was juicy, packed with flavor and delicious with the house sauce. My wife got the fish tacos which were fresh, light and perfectly balanced with all the condiments without feeling like your usually heavily fried seafood. The kids were well taken care of too with the burger and chicken tenders which didn't stand a chance. Never seen my little ladies eat so fast and clear their plates. In their words, "the best Eat Store Ever!" We saved room for the maple brown sugar cake with ice cream, and it did not disappoint. The perfect sweet finish to a memorable meal. Eaten so fast that I was left scavenging for scraps and melted ice cream once I was able to dig in. The cherry on top was the people. Our server Brittany was warm, attentive, and genuinely wonderful -- the kind of service that makes you feel like a regular even on your first visit. We also had the pleasure of chatting with Chef Norman himself as he brought out some of our dishes and the dishes of other customers. You can tell this place is a labor of love. We were looking forward to a Browns north shore roast beef but alas they were closed. So we noticed the new restaurant and decided to give it a try. Glad we did had the chicken tenders and the mussels and fries. My girl said the tenders were the best she ever had, I think it was the sea salt. Went here with high hopes and to say the least was very disappointed. Went with my family my boyfriend ordered fish and chips with a side of Mac and cheese the fish he said was great but he never actually received the Mac and cheese. Next I ordered haddock chowder as an appetizer and a burger for my meal first the chowder came 1 minute before the burger so I had no time to eat it and my burger came incorrectly, my mother also got a burger and hers came incorrectly as well. When sent back they both came back again incorrectly. She just kept hers mine went back and was cooked a new one and it basically came out raw just cooked enough to be barely edible. The waiter was nice about it the chef did not really even apologize after everything which feels very unprofessional so to say the least was a very disappointing experience. Disappointed. Wanted to love the place but it fell short in numerous ways: 1 - we were seated directly opposite the front door with big cold drafts anytime someone opened the door. Why not offer another seat? The fact that wait staff was wearing coats was concerning. The chef tried to explain that sea salt is "less salty" than regular salt but I cook quite a lot and I'm quite sure there was no salt (or any other flavoring?) in the fry covering. The chicken was tasteless. 3 - my husband pronounced the clam bellies delicious but was disappointed in the lack of even a taste of slaw or pickle of some kind. Don't be deceived by the name, this place has the best menu of comfort food around. Opted for the chicken tenders which one might think "woo" but these absolutely were off the chain. My wife had the fish and chips which were equally delicious, and yes the fries are great hand cuts. Aside from food, the team is incredible and I've never seen an owner so plugged in. This new restaurant served the best burger I've had in a long time; moist, fresh, the slaw on it and the dressing was just perfect, and the fresh sliced pickles! YUM! The chips with it were fresh, crispy just right. I had the confit fries. The duck was fresh, soft, like WOW. The fries with it were fine. My friend had the steak and said it was awesome. Please plate better. The steak was falling out of a small plate. Like it was just thrown on it. The wait staff was lacking. No greeting no acknowledgement that anyone at the entrance door existed.
