What had a wonderful dining experience at Barnacle Billy's. Situated on the water in Perkins Cove it has a very laid back atmosphere. Service was attentive. The rum punch was delicious as were the lobster rolls.

    Beautiful View

Great service, amazing food! I got the natural salmon and my husband LOVED the lobster pie. We really enjoyed the outdoor patio. Hardly a wait! Perfectly timed courses. Would recommend! Lots of families dining together.

Great local spot in Ogunquit. Service was excellent. This place sits right on the cove with a nice view. We started with their rum punch which was great. I had the lobster roll. Lobster was tender and nice. My wife got the crab roll. It was tasty and came with nice onion rings. My son got the fried chicken sandwich. It was huge and had a great crisp. A must try if you are ever in Perkins cove.

Trey to get a table by the window if you can! Staff is super friendly and there are lots of options for seafood eaters and non seafood eaters.

We came here on a weekend day and were surprised at how busy it was inside. There were a lot of people and parking was difficult but luckily this place has its own lot with a valet staffer who makes money from tips. Comparable parking on a busy day here is $25-30 in various nearby lots, so if you're eating here it makes sense to park. We came as a group of 5 after hearing this place was a good place to get lobster rolls. The market price for one was $38. I think if we could go back we would ask if these lobster rolls were hot or cold, since the ones they serve are cold and not the hot and buttery ones. My partner said that the rolls were actually pretty bland and not worth the price. This place also only serves chips and not fries. I was surprised at the lack of vegetarian options. There were plain and basic salads, garlic bread, and corn. But there was nothing substantive with protein available, which is odd given the amount of vegetarians around these days. Overall, the food was just fine, but it is not what you would expect for food that is more on the expensive side.

Views & cocktails... nothing more!!! Been coming to Barnacle Billy's for years. Has a great location with beautiful harbor views and classic New England charm, which definitely adds to the overall experience. The outdoor seating is perfect on a nice day, and the atmosphere is casual and relaxed--great for families or a quick bite after walking around Perkins Cove. That said, the food was extremely underwhelming and lackluster for the price & lacked any sort of quality or finesse. The lobster was fresh, but lacked seasoning & was hardly any of it on the roll. For $32 I was expecting a whole lot more from the coveted ME Lobster. The Clam Chowder was runny & had no creamy texture to it & did not taste fresh. The "Tuna Plate" for $26 was just canned tuna sitting on a bed of lettuce with a side of lettuce "salad". Not at all impressed! One Quick Look behind the counter onto the kitchen, all young kids behind the line with no head chef or anyone overlooking the kitchen. Overall, It's a nice spot if you're looking for the touristy Maine views & cocktails experience, but if you're after something more memorable or refined, there are far better options nearby. Worth a visit for the view and a cold drink, but temper your expectations on the food so you're not disappointed.

    $9 hot fudge sundae

Our family got ice cream tonight at the take out window. Ice cream was good. For the most part, felt like the prices were reasonable for the area. However, I was expecting a little more for a $9 hot fudge sundae.

    Rum Punch

This spot is ONLY for their signature rum punch and outdoor seating with a beautiful view of the harbor. Might actually be the worst seafood in the area. If you want good food that's also cheaper, walk down into the cove and eat at Footbridge Lobster or go over into Ogunquit and eat at Rose Cove or Crooked Pine. Sincerely signed by a local.

Great food. Hamburger was juicy and filling. My husband had the shrimp and he loved his meal too. Service was great too. Our server was super friendly and polite. We sat by the window which we had beautiful views.

Casual dining that is great for families. We have never been to Ogunquit. We didn't realize there are not a ton of family friendly restaurants. Where do we eat with our 21 month old? I'm glad we found barnacle Billy's. Open seating. First come first serve. You order at the counter then sit down and wait for your number to be called. If you want drinks a server does come over and open a tab at the bar for you. Food was fresh and hot. Lots of fast casual options for the whole family. From burgers and hot dogs, to lobster rolls and chicken dinners. And best of all, they offer ice cream as well. This is definitely not a fancy place at all. But if you want casual atmosphere with delicious food, go ahead and try out Barnacle Billy's.

Went to Barnacle Billy's etc they have the Baskets, and platters, fried grilled, yes great lobster rolls and lobster by lb. Friendly staff. Short wait but they are busy. Next door is Billy's lobster Pound.. We preferred the variety and were not disappointed. Atmosphere awesome over looks Harbor and large estates on the bay. Ogunquit, ME a great walkable community lots of quaint shops and Inns to stay.

We drove down the road a bit and sat at some picnic tables overlooking the harbor to dine. It was really windy, but I was happy with my bisque. They threw in a lobster roll bun for me at the last minute and that really was appreciated. It was so good and this might be the best way for me to enjoy lobster. The service is quick and the line backs up so you had better know what you want when you get to the front. The gals were efficient and friendly, what more could you ask for? Would definitely be back to enjoy this bisque again.

Seating: Footbridge js TAKE OUT ONLY with a big window you walk up to order and pickup. There are some benches nearby you might get lucky or you can stand by the bridge and eat. Lobster shack has seating and bathrooms. Price: On a Monday post lunch hour, I ordered the Lobster roll with clam chowder soup. Foot bridge is cheaper if you buy the combo outside of the lunch special hour compared to lobster shack. If you buy during lunch hour, they both are about similar in pricing. FOOD: The biggest difference between the two was TEXTURE. Footbridge offered a bouncy/chewier texture while Lobster Shack offered a softer easier to pull apart lobster. Secondly, the bread is slightly smaller at footbridge but the meat is 5oz almost singular piece versus lobster rolls multiple smaller pieces. Clam chowder was similar in the sense that footbridge had a thicker milkier consistency like most New England clam chowder while Lobster shack had more meat/substance but thinner liquid base with a somewhat coconut type taste. Both lobsters and clam chowder are unique and tasty in their own way and all boils down to preference. At this moment in time, I prefer footbridge for the lobster roll and the clam chowder at lobster shack. If I went outside of lunch hour, footbridge will be my go to for the slightly better price and less broken down pieces of lobster. If you don't like to chew - lobster shack

I don't like fishy tastes/seafood generally and this wasn't fishy at all. Not all rolls had similar quality though, one of the rolls my group ordered had a shell in it. Each lobster roll can be done with butter, mayo, or both and are heated upon request. They all come with a bag of kettle potato chips and a fork; there are condiments and napkins sitting out at the order window. The shop was a small house with one counter window open for ordering. There's handicap parking steps away from the order counter, and restrooms about a 2 min walk away. The house sits across from a tall footbridge which is a nice photo spot, and there's a bench and trash can underneath it. It took about 15 mins to order and receive our items with a line that was about 7 people long! We came on a summer Saturday afternoon and it was lively, there were lots of people strolling around. The surrounding area seems like a resort town with lots of inns and rentals.

What we ordered: -Cornbread: 3/5, great portion to share with the table and piping hot which I loved but wish it was moister and had more honey on top. -Caesar salad: 5/5, incredibly fresh, dressing was delicious and evenly spread among the whole salad, fresh anchovies on top were a nice touch -Crabcakes: 4.8/5, only comes with 2 but the cakes were very fresh and flavorful. The corn on top was very boring I wish they spiced it up a bit but it did not take away from the flavor of the cakes so I kept the score high. -Lobster Pappardelle: 5/5, one of my favorite meals we ate on vacation!! Generous lobster portion with perfectly cooked pappardelle in a very tasty sauce. I already miss it and wish I could eat it again. -Braised Short Rib: 3.8/5, beautiful presentation and everything tasted great but very small polenta/carrot portions and I wish the meat was more tender. It wasn't bad, it just didn't blow my socks off. -Espresso crème brûlée: 4.5/5, was the perfect birthday dessert for my boyfriend and he absolutely loved it. Quality espresso flavor, wish it was a little crispier on top. Food was ~4/5 but our overall experience was 5/5. Our server, Pedro, was so friendly and helped us with dish recommendations. When I told him we were celebrating a birthday, he brought the crème brûlée out with a candle and two other staff members to sing to him which was so sweet. We sat at a table by the window on the first floor. We overheard that there is an upstairs bar, not sure if they also seat folks for dinner there. We were able to place an order right after getting settled. We enjoyed the Sun mocktail, charred beet salad, mac and cheese, fried codd sandwich, steak frites, and corn ravioli (without the pancetta). My spouse is gluten free and I am vegetarian so we are always looking for restaurants that can accommodate both. The charred beet salad was good but I think dressed a bit too heavily. I thought the corn ravioli and sun mocktail were both great. The kids (ages 1.5 and 5) liked the Mac and cheese and fried cod sandwich. They did not have any appropriate booster seats for the 1.5 year old so my spouse held him. My spouse loved the steak frites but I think wished had a few more "frites" given the amount of interest from the younger crowd. Our waiter was wonderful and also brought some orange slices from the bar for the kids. We were very grateful. We decided to go nearby for ice cream after dinner, but I heard there is a dessert menu.
