Visited here for dinner July 16th with my sister. We were seated in the back of the restaurant where the faux leather seats were dingy & dirty. The tables weren't cleared & there was food left on the seats & tables. Our waitress was not attentive & at one point my sister had to go and search for her & found her in back of the hostess station rummaging through her purse. The cold lobster roll was room temperature & I was afraid to eat it, but our waitress heard none of it & did not care that I wasn't happy with it, she told me that's just how it is. She did not come back to our table to check on us, take a dessert order or freshen our drinks after that - another waitress (very courteous & friendly) finished our service. At one point 2 servers came over to open the banquet seating right next to me to get access to their storage and wanted me to move to accommodate them as I'm trying to eat my $100 room temperature lobster roll. Also during our entire meal a worker was sweeping the floor in our area with a regular broom kicking up dirt while we're trying to eat. Nice beach location with water views. My wife enjoyed a traditional boiled lobster. The Cioppino was delicious. Prices are reasonable.

The food is solid with great attentive service. The clam chowder was amazing. The lobster roll was great.

We went here prior to a show. Got there right at noon when they opened and was seated by the window overlooking the water. The blueberry beer was very good. The clam chowder was just okay. The steamers were great but who puts chives on steamers?!?!. It is a small place but have a bar. read more

Stopped here for a quick bite in between lunch and dinner. Reservations are highly recommended but if you're okay with sitting at the bar it's open seating and it's just what we did. Being right by the beach it gets quite busy and you could be waiting a while if you don't want to sit at the bar. I find it to be like express service wherever you go. We ordered drinks and got them within 5 minutes. I got the painkiller and it hit the spot for boozy and tropical which seems fitting for the setting. It wasn't too sweet .. was just right. After we got our drinks we put in our orders, I got the fried oysters and a bowl of lobster bisque. They both came out within 6 minutes or less. The oysters were amazing. The sauce underneath was a sweet, savory, with a touch of spicy which paired well with each oyster that was fried perfectly crispy and not over breaded. The lobster bisque .. just OMG. When it came out, the bowl size is just ginormous almost like a bathtub I could hop in lol. The bisque was creamy reminiscent texture of a New England style clam chowder. The taste was a touch fishy mixed with almost a very light creamy tomato soup with herbs and spices that meld well together and don't overpower. The real treat was the chunks of lobster inside. I had 3 whole claws and a couple knuckles in there. Soo delicious, I would definitely get it again. The ambiance was bright and modern, neutral cool tones that invite the beautiful sunlight in. I didn't get to go upstairs but they do have a rooftop deck and a small patio off the side of the restaurant overlooking the water. There is no parking so you'd have to park at the beach parking lot. As with most of the restaurants in Ogunquit by the beach don't offer parking. read more

Very nice beach front restaurant in Ogunquit! Always recommend a bug repellent since this restaurant is located on the water. Staff was very friendly and attentive. Food was tasty. Wish the fried oysters were a larger portion but it was worth it. Scallops were a bit overcooked but again the flavor was there. Cocktails were nothing special and a bit overpriced. We decided we wanted to try dinner at this modern waterfront restaurant. The interior is modern and airy, with views of the Ogunquit River. Though this restaurant is modern and bright, still our dining experience was peaceful. Our first night for dinner was a hit. We decided to split their house salad- a very generous portion of salad greens, sliced cucumbers, and grape tomatoes (yes, split this). We followed this with an equally copious serving of mussels, nicely steamed in a garlic broth, served with toasted garlic bread slices. Then we split their fisherman's platter with it's fried scallops, haddock, and crispy fried clams. On a second night, we again split their salad. But we ordered their lobster roll platter, with a lobster roll stuffed with large fresh lobster chunks. Also ordered a cioppino, a generous serving of haddock, mussels, shrimp. scallops, and corn-on-the-cob in a richly flavored tomato-based broth, served with four slices of toasted garlic bread. Fantastic! Wine pours each night were generous, and the service was friendly and accommodating. When in Ogunquit, we want to put this on the list for places to enjoy dinner. read more

I have been here many times for the large lobster roll and it has been delicious. We went there 3 times last year, 3 times in Juneand unfortunately only once in September. In the past, the lobster was always fresh and you could see the lobster meat. Now, the mix it beforehand and it does not taste fresh and we did not enjoy it at all. the additives were awful. What a shame because we loved this place and now will not be going back anymore. They should never cut corners. read more

Sat upstairs, outside along the water. I ordered the fried clam plate. Plenty of food, but the clams were small. The jalapeño marg wasn't spicy at all. Our server was good, but it took a long time to get our food. There were maybe 5 parties up stairs. Either way, I would still go back. The lobster rolls I saw looked bomb. Not sure why this place doesn't have more stars on Yelp. I had the lobster grilled cheese and it was excellent. It had a good amount of fresh lobster and the fries were good too. Clam chowder was better than most places around Ogunquit. It is right next to the water so ambiance was great too. We stopped in ogunquit to have some lobster by the beach on our way to Boston. We walked around town waiting for the restaurant to open up at noon for lunch bc it looked like it had the best menu. So happy we waited. My bf and I both ordered lobster bisque to start which came with huge chunks of lobster. We then got two lobster rolls one cold and one got. I will say the hot buttered one was way better than cold but that's personal preference. Our waiter was also so sweet and fast! 10/10 loved having lunch here! read more

We had walked the beach and were ready for a nice lobster themed lunch - not necessarily a whole lobster but definitely a good lobster roll. We were not disappointed. This restaurant is just off the beach with a great location looking north up the inland water way. The staff were very accommodating and polite. The service was quick and friendly and the lobster rolls were fresh and tasty - including a side of fries and a fresh cole slaw. The tables are nicely spaced, the fixtures are new, and the bathrooms are clean. And you won't be bombarded with loud music. I even got the waiter to get our fancy ceiling fan going. So, the good is it was close to the beach. We stopped by on our way back to our motel that was about a mile away. We walker here from the Footbridge. The menu looked great, we stopped closer to 7PM near closing (8PM) and got a great table overlooking the river. The atmosphere was awesome. We each ordered a glass of wine, and we were upsold to a bottle which was totally ok. That was the end of a great experience. We ordered two appetizers that never arrived, we did get our clam chowder which was just OK, and some lobster sliders, again good. Not delivered were our oysters or our lobster rangoons. Staff seemed focused on closing time. Waitress was nice and apologetic, and we said that's OK and just remove them from our bill which she did. Waitress noted that that the staff ate the rangoons, and that they were not very good. - Bill came, and was accurate, with the removed items. I signed and tipped 15%, usually I tip 20+% but, but well the waitress didn't follow up on the apps. - When I was leaving I checked my wallet and I was missing my credit card, our vacation card. I went back and asked them to check the bill holder and the table area, and they couldn't find it. Honestly not sure the waitress brought it back. I was able to turn off the card. A member of our table asked " lobster bisque or sea food stew".., quick response, seafood stew... the whole table disliked it as being too " clove " foreword. The same waitperson who recommended it then agreed When she asked how our dinner was, we gave her our honest feedback ..,. Some great, Some fair , some not so good... then never saw her again. Great location, amazing views, especially during high tide when the estuary behind Ogunquit beach starts to fill up and you see paddle boarders SUP'ers and kayakers all float by you. This place can be great if the people around you are also chill. If on the the other hand, you're surrounded by 20-something drinkers and obnoxious partiers, you'll have a miserable time here. I thought about getting a lobster roll here but nixed it after I saw that they had Cioppiono on the menu here. I remember another glorious fish and shellfish stew I had called Brodetto, back on the Oregon coast a few years ago and given that Cioppino and Brodetto are kind of similar, I thought I would give the Copping a shot. My mistake. The broth was too much tomato sauce flavour, not enough wine and herbs and garlic, the bread it came with had no garlic butter on it at all and the Cioppino itself had rolls of corn and hardly any clams, shrimps and mussels. Not cool. The waitresses and servers were nice, but there's definitely room for improvement. read more

Absolutely the best scallops wrapped in bacon and fish tacos I've ever had. Delicious! I had the Lobster dinner which come with steamers and corn. My husband had the filet mignon. The lobster dinner came with delicious blueberry pie and I added vanilla ice cream.(absolute necessity) Wait staff is super and the food is reasonably priced for what you get. We are from Southampton NY so the prices seem reasonable everywhere we go comparatively. Highly recommend this place. read more

Average food, Grumpy staff - Went to Join the Waitlist on a summer Saturday night and it said there was no wait, so we walked down from downtown Ogunquit(10 minutes). We were a party of 4 adults. When we arrived and asked for a table inside and were told it was a 15 minute wait. 15 minutes later, we saw a table open up downstairs and assumed we would get that table. Instead we were brought upstairs past several vacant empty inside tables to an outside table which we refused and told the hostess that we requested an inside table. The hostess said that because we switched from outside to inside the wait would be 30 minutes. We said we had already waited 15 minutes. She brought us back downstairs and asked if she was the 1 who we spoke to(she was not). The downstairs insi6 table was still unoccupied. 5 minutes later she brought us back upstairs and sat us at 1 of the empty tables which we had previously walked by. Our server came over promptly and took our drink orders. While he was at the bar making our drinks, he complained to the hostess that he had to make drinks and be a waiter. When he brought over a glass of wine to my husband who ordered a beer. The waiter had written down our drink orders and repeated what we ordered as he was writing it down. He sent the wine back. 1 of our diners(not a seafood fan) ordered the chicken wing appetizer and also wanted to order the Grilled Cheese and Fries off of the Kids menu. The waiter said he was not sure if that were allowed. Our friend said he would pay an adult price for it. The waiter left and had a discussion at the bar with 4 other staff about it and then spent quite some time putting in our order at the terminal. The rest of the table ordered 2 Fisherman's Platters and the Scallop in cream sauce dinner with Broccolini. The food was average, Broccolini was cooked perfectly. For a restaurant in a resort area you would expect better service. All staff members looked grumpy. read more

My husband and I walked the marginal way and wanted to try the Ogunquit Beach Lobster house. We got there at 11.45 and it doesn't open until noon. So we went to Splash where the bartender was awesome. Then we went back to The Ogunquit Beach Lobster House. The young gentleman greeting us told us we couldn't sit upstairs. He wasn't friendly. Didn't communicate well. Didn't take our name. My husband went upstairs and all the seats were vacant except for two. The greeter came upstairs and told us we would have to wait 45 minutes. So we left. We are sitting at Surf 360. Having a beautiful lunch. Looking at ocean. Friendly and attentive waitress. It's sad that the Lobster House didn't need our business so we will spend $200 elsewhere. read more

Looking for great service? Keep looking, my friend! Look--I get it. I've done my time working in the service industry. But it really grinds my gears when I get terrible service for no reason. I can't speak to the quality of the food or beverages at this establishment...because we were never served. After waiting for over 20 minutes for a very unprofessional bartender to even ACKNOWLEDGE us, we got the message and walked out the door. A kind waitress took pity on us and attempted to help after noticing we'd been sitting there for a long time without anyone even greeting us. She even spoke to the bartender to let her know we were waiting. Several minutes later, she still had yet to even glance in our direction. She finally made eye contact and offered a snide smile ONLY when we walked past her on our way out the door. Yuck. I realize it's tough right now to find good, reliable workers to staff restaurants, but this individual was beyond. I'm not one to leave negative reviews...but I'm also not the type to walk out of a place after a laughable amount of time without so much as an acknowledgement. It was both rude and unnecessary. They weren't even that busy. Even a basic greeting or "Hi! I'll be with you soon" would have made a world of difference. Beautiful views for every seat in the house! The clam chowder was not my favorite. It was a huge bowl and did come with a strong portion of clams. Just not my style. The lobster salad came with a very generous portion of lobster and I am told by my salad expert the green stuff was fresh and chopped nicely. The steamer appetizer was a large bowl and the cleanest steamers I have ever had. I rank them top 5 all time. I was extremely pleased. The place isn't cheap but if you're willing to pay extra for better this is worth a stop on your way back from the beach. read more

Hands down the single best dining experience my partner and I have had on the Maine shore. We ate inside with a beautiful view of the inlet. I had a surf and turf of filet mignon and lobster, and my partner had the classic whole lobster with steamers and corn. I asked for my steak without the sauce and the kitchen obliged, though I was disappointed the steak was ordered medium but cooked nearly-well. We had a great time breaking open the delicious lobster. And we enjoyed scrumptious blueberry desserts at the end. The staff was very welcoming and attentive the entire time. A great time for both of us in Ogunquit! read more
