Let's start with the service. We had a party of 15, and everyone ordered drinks or snacks. My husband even felt bad and ordered the Pandan Kuya toast because the staff kept pushing desserts on us like they had to be purchased. Two different staff members mentioned desserts multiple times. When one waiter brought my sister her drink, he even told her she should order two. The place itself could have been great if the service had matched the quality of the food and drinks. Unfortunately, we received eye rolls from one staff member, and several employees came across as unpleasant and lacking basic customer service. It was also cold inside, and the waitress opened the door to let even more cold air in. It honestly felt like she was trying to push us out, even though there was no line or anyone waiting for tables. We ended up leaving a cash tip out of guilt because the staff made us feel terrible. My friend got the grape fizz and I got the strawberry oolong. I thought my drink was 4 stars, not too sweet and generally refreshing. What I didn't like was the constant pressure to order more, constant reminders that they didn't take cash under a certain amount, they really should post that outside and they constantly are trying to push their customers out because the place is so small. I've been here a handful of times and every time there's this situation: People sit at the table, waitress takes their order, the someone uses the restroom which of course is for customers only. The people are told they have to spend a specific amount to use card otherwise it's cash only. The people don't have cash so they leave and a worker (owner, I'm assuming) gets mad that they've already used the bathroom. You don't really expect the trendy looking restaurants and cafes to be cash only (unless you pay a certain amount) when you walk in. The menu was confusing. I'm not quite sure what most of the items were. Ube, mille and dulce are not commonly used words. The amount of grammar and capital case mistakes on their menu makes you wonder if they were incompetent as well on making the desserts. Luckily the stuff my friends decided on tasted fine. They had the choco-matcha mille crepe (cake) $15.50, mango bingsoo (shaved ice with syrup) $18.75 and nutella banana mochi waffle $17. Don't order the garlic fries $11.75. It was fries with Parmesan cheese and dried parsley sprinkled on it. There's no garlic taste. This was terrible. The dishes did come out in a reasonable amount of time. No water refills. Items I would improve on: The little bar stool hurt my back. It needs a cushion and a back rest. You know, real chairs. Better drink and food selections. I wish they had orange cream soda or milk shakes.
