    crème brûlée matcha noodle

Came to Tokyo Cream with some friends after seeing some of their interesting items on TikTok (like the kouignigiri). They gave a variety of Japanese inspired flavored desserts including from pastries, soft serve, and drinks! I tried the crème brûlée matcha which you couldn't adjust the sweetness on unfortunately. Because of that, I found it to be too sweet. There were a lot of additions like the matcha ice noodles and crème brûlée which meant less matcha to drink (but again it's a whole dessert with all its additions LOL). The matcha was pretty good though! I also tried the Sakura matcha which had some extra floral notes from the Sakura! The kouignigiri was buttery and flakey, but very lacking in banana despite it saying it had banana. Overall, it's a dessert spot with interesting sweet treats! Tokyo Cream adds intriguing twists to your usual desserts!

Stopped by Tokyo Cream on Irving and tried their signature kouign-amann nigiri. It was really good. Crispy on the outside, buttery, and just the right amount of sweetness. You can tell why it's one of their signature items. The shop itself is cute and makes for an easy stop if you're walking around the Sunset and craving something sweet. Would definitely come back to try more of their items.

Even in SF, plans that specialize in soft serves are rare; so I was excited to see this place open. HokkaidoMilk &black sesame swirl (5/5); I thought both flavors balance each other well. The Hokkaido milk was creamy, rich, and soft. The black sesame was earthy and nutty. Cant wait till they have more flavors!

Tokyo Cream is such a cute addition to Irving Street and definitely worth stopping by for dessert! We tried the Black & White Swirl (Black Sesame + Hokkaido Milk) and the Murasaki Ube, and both were rich, creamy, and absolutely delightful. The Murasaki Ube was especially good as the ube flavor was just right, not overly sweet, and the bits of mochi added such a fun chewy texture. The Black Sesame + Hokkaido Milk swirl was smooth, nutty, and perfectly balanced. The café itself is clean, modern, and inviting, with a quick-service setup using self-order kiosks. Even though ordering is automated, the staff were still friendly and the service was fast. They also have a variety of other desserts that looked really tempting, so we're already planning to come back and try more. I'm so glad there's another dessert spot on Irving Street, especially one focused on ice cream and soft serve. Definitely worth a visit if you're craving something sweet and refreshing!

Love that we have hokkaido milk soft serve in san francisco! I've tried all the soft serve flavors and found the banana one surprisingly good. Overall I loved the soft serve's creamy texture and the variety of flavors offered. I've also tried the kouignigiri, which I didn't like as much. I found the banana flavor to be kinda artificial, and the outside was a little too flaky and hard for my liking. Loved that there are a few tables inside to enjoy the desserts, and service is always quick. This is a classic dessert spot in my book and I will be back!

I really like the black sesame and Hokkaido milk swirl! Black sesame isn't grainy and overall both flavors are a great pairing. Banana cream is really tasty too, great for banana lovers. Can get busy/crowded inside but there's 2 self-serve kiosks as well as their main counter, so wait time isn't super long. Parking can be tough, but not impossible. Just circle around the residential areas if no metered parking spots are available.

Stopped by with my wife one evening for some desserts. We were craving soft serve and we were in the right place at the right time. There were a lot of people there but the line moved pretty quick. We ordered the Kouignigiri, Croquant Choux,Harajuku Ube, Yuzu Awa, Sakura Matcha, and the Shibuya Honey Yuzu. The Kouignigiri was delicious, golden and well layered while the Croquant Choux was like a cross between coffee cake, and eclair and a cream puff. The drinks were refreshing but nothing to sing and dance about. The ice cream was alright. It was better than a standard vanilla soft serve but it didn't carry enough impact. The Yuzu honey had a wax that lingered after you ate the honey. Not sure if it's intentional but I was not a fan. The Ube soft serve was a little better. I think the toppings complimented the ice cream more. Overall, I think the dessert was good. I'll have to try it again once the novelty wears off.

I've been wanting to try this new soft serve spot for a while since it's hard to find Hokkaido milk soft serve. They transformed the former Toast N' Egg into a bright modern space with a mural of SF, booths, and stools. Order at one of the kiosks and wait for your name to be called. Our order: Black & White Swirl Soft Serve: $5.50 +Hokkaido milk soft serve was creamy and milky +Sesame soft serve was creamy and nutty w/strong sesame flavor +Not too sweet Kouignigiri (Banana): $4.95 +Crunchy caramelized exterior with a flaky interior +Not too sweet -There was barely any banana filling Matcha Kori Brûlée: $8.95 -Described as "Torched crème brûlée over shaved matcha ice", the product we received was not what was described. We received a matcha latte with a few streaks of crème brûlée and plenty of ice cubes topped with a small mound of shaved matcha ice. Tokyo Kōhī (Hot, 0% sweet): $5.95 +Drinkable temperature: Hot, but doesn't burn your mouth/tongue -Filled only 2/3 of the way, the watery coffee was bland & not creamy. One of the worst coffees I've had in recent memory. Side notes: 1.) Rewards: Sign up w/phone # to earn points 2.) Self-serve napkins, spoons, and straws 3.) Restroom available for customers 4.) Limited street parking *Verdict: Out of the 4 things we tried, I would only get the soft serve again. I'd highly recommend sticking to the soft serve if you come here.

I got the black sesame soft serve, the matcha sundae, and the choux pastry. Black sesame soft serve 3/5 it was a little artificial tasting and not as smooth/creamy as some other places I have been to, such as matcha Izumi. I would like a stronger black sesame flavor. Matcha Ginza 4/5- came with Hokkaido soft serve rather than matcha soft serve as pictured. This was a little more to my liking. The mochi was soft and the Hokkaido soft serve was a little creamer than the black sesame. Choux pastry 3/5 not too exciting. I probably wouldn't order this again. It had some cream in the center. My mom got the strawberry sakura matcha latte this tasted pretty good, but I only had a sip.

Sakura Matcha 7.5/10 Hokkaido Milk 8.5/10 Murasaki Ube 7.5/10 Sakura Matcha has a nice subtle floral to it. I got less sweet; I feel no sweet would be good for me, since the foam already had a sweet taste. Hokkaido Milk was creamy and sweet a perfect treat to end the night. Murasaki Ube was nice I couldn't really taste the ube. It tasted more like Pandan and coconut. I loved the coconut flakes.

Wanted to try this fairly new dessert place in the Sunset, and had high expectations for their Hokkaido milk. Overall, I'd say it was average - good, but not as good as other places I've tried like Indigo Cow in LA. Black & White Swirl (Hokkaido milk and black sesame): -pros: not too sweet, decent price ($5.50 per serving), has good baseline milk flavor and black sesame flavor -cons: texture/consistency is too icy, milk is not very rich, lacking in fragrance and freshness Overall, I think this is an okay place to try, but I feel they have some areas for improvement for the consistency and recipe of their soft serve.

Got the Tokyo cream banana. Perfect balance of sweetness. They have self service kiosk. Good place for a light dessert.

We got the matcha soft serve and it was pretty good. The cafe had plenty of seating and nice interior decorations. It felt like a nice place to sit and chill indoors.

They allow you to sample up to three flavors, and I ended up choosing the black sesame and crème brûlée. Unfortunately, both flavors felt a bit muted to me. I was especially disappointed by the crème brûlée since my scoop had very few of the crunchy caramelized bits that make that flavor special. I was also expecting a richer, creamier ice cream given the reputation, but it tasted fairly standard to me. Of course, texture and richness are subjective, but overall it didn't quite live up to the hype.
