The all American smash burger was solid but maybe a little thin and not as sauced as I would have liked. Next time I would get maybe a double and ask for extra sauce. My son liked the kids grilled cheese

Didn't know it was inside of Prescott Market, but now I know and now I'll go back for pizza and Almanac beer!! I placed my order online and I ended up getting there wayyy before my pick up time; like 25 min, but the girl at the counter was nice enough to start working on it. General quaint food hall vibes. I got the gnarly fries, 100% Will get again!!! They're sooo yummy with the sauce, and grated cheese and if you love grilled onions this is for you!!!! Strawberry shake was yummy and I'm sad I got the kids size (9oz).

    Oklahoma Burger

Simple burger stand in the hip Prescott Market in West Oakland. We had been munching earlier at another brewery down the way, but I still wanted to try a burger. Their menu is nice and tight and I was feeling good things to come. But the execution left me a bit hanging. Oklahoma Burger ($9/3*) This is a smash burger cooked with thin onions along with the burger. If done right this is a quintessential American flavored burger as the browning onions mingle with sizzling fat of the burger. But unfortunately this burger was so dry, I think from over-smashing the burger that the juices were completely pushed out. Such a bummer. Cuz I had a similar burger once at a shack in Nevada, but that one was executed perfectly. So to me it comes down to the people making it versus what is on paper. It was a nice sized burger, even for a single. They do use decent meat, just too bad I couldn't taste it in its optimal state. The American cheese was gooey, the bun was decent and the pickles added a nice tang to the bites. But I just didn't get that epic burger/onion tandem combo that this burger deserves. The fries were just meh to me, even though it claims it is duck fat fries. Can't really discern anything. I'd actually much rather have controversial In & Out fries that are so polarizing, as at least those taste much more natural to me ie they taste like fried potatoes. Tried a couple from my friend's Onion Rings and they were just ok to me. Nothing to wow about, and actually once these got coolish, they lost the nice crispness. But they have some thick ranch here that almost resembles dip versus a sauce. Got my burger as a meal and instead of giving you a price for that, you just have to order your fries and soda along, AND they'll just knock off $2.50 off. I think my meal before T&T was around $17...pretty typical. There are several other eateries in this food hall, so I'm thinking I'd rather try something else before I do a repeat here. But someday I wouldn't be too opposed in trying another burger here. Hopefully just done with more finesse and care.

Was here for an even for Cafe Noir, and while waiting staff from Fast Times Burgers brought over samples (very smart!) I was only able to try the following - Onion Rings - they were good! Not oily and plenty of flavor - Vegetarian Burger - you know what? It was delicious! I would not pay $10 for it, but it has a nice spice to it, but the texture for sure is something one would have to get used to. Overall prices are not the best for the sizes, but manageable if you want to grab something fast to eat.

    Smash cheeseburger and onion rings

Came through Prescott Market after striking out at an event at Café Noir and decided to see what spots were still open. Fast Times caught my eye immediately, mainly because the onion rings were calling my name. Kept it simple and ordered a smashed cheeseburger, just how I like it: no frills, no distractions, just good meat and cheese. And honestly? It delivered. Juicy, crispy edges, easy to eat, and exactly what you want when you're craving a proper burger. The onion rings were the real hook though. Golden, crunchy, and super satisfying. Didn't get to try the fries or shakes this time, but that just means I've got a reason to come back (and I definitely will).

I have yet to try an actual burger from Fast Time Burgers, but just based on their Gnarly Fries alone I can tell you that I will absolutely be back to try everything! For only $7, you get a pile of French fries covered in what I assume is their Smash Sauce (similar to thousand island but with slightly more acidity), grilled/caramelized onions, and grated aged white cheddar. First of all, it's great value plus it smells heavenly! When I took my first bite, I was hit with savory/salty cheese, some sweetness from the onions, and a nice creamy & acidic sauce. Everything brought the classic french fry together. Of course I used a teeny bit of ketchup to dip a few bites and it just made it even better. Next time I'm going to sprinkle some black pepper on it too! You definitely have to be paying attention to when your order is ready. It didn't seem like they were calling out names or numbers, but I think in general they send a text when your food is ready.

If you want an overpriced McDonald's cheeseburger, then come here. I spent $17 on this sorry ass SINGLE cheeseburger and ONE single puppy patty. Highway robbery. The service was lackluster. Nothing special about this place. Just gimmicky

The hubs and I had been wanting to try this spot out for a little bit now. We were pleased to find this little spot as a hidden gem just inside the Prescott Market! The whole area took me back to days when you would eat at the food court in the mall! Fast time Burgers is in a really cute corner next to a spot you can sit in couches or on a picnic table which is what we did. The service was really good. Food overall was simple yet delicious! Typical smash burger but at a good reasonable price. They were quick to get the food out and even courteous enough to give us a free refill on our soda. All in all we will be back to try their other smash burgers and next time I'll do onion rings!

I'm always on the lookout for solid new burger spots, and I'm glad to see more new businesses in West Oakland. Didn't even realize that this is all part of Prescott Market! You can sit down anywhere inside, and scan a QR code where you can order from any of the businesses inside at the same time. Very convenient! But anyways, I was really just here to try the burger. I chose the double Oklahoma Burger ($13). At a glance, the surface of the bun already came pretty greasy, which wasn't great. Don't really wanna get my hands dirty if possible. But I saw that the two patties had a more decent thickness to them, unlike other smash burgers I've had recently in Oakland that tend to be paper thin. Overall, it had pretty good flavors in the sauce as well. For $13 though, it's getting high up there, and this is still Oakland in the end.

Fast Time Burgers is the lst food vendor i saw upon entering Prescott Hall. F.T. was easily the most popular & most well known one present. No decor seen nearby. They had a stall at the nearby farmers market flipping smash burgers that had a viral reputation. Ordered, pd. Got food 10ish minutes later. Offerings: burgers, French fries, Alameda soda. Soft serve ice cream... Bites: 2 patty burger (13) -2 fluffy not flat burgers with onions, pickles & tomatos that cut the grease. -melty burgers surprisingly juicy, moist with charred edges. Expected dry burgers...deliz! -obviously artisan seasonings in marinate. 4.5 stars semi Worthy! Repeatable depending on mood.

Came through to Prescott Market on opening weekend and was so impressed! I had been following the progression for a while and already can't wait to come back. Such a great and vibrant step forward for Oakland businesses and community. It was def. poppin! I loved the QR codes on each table outdoors where we had the opportunity to order from a variety of spots indoors including Fast Times Burgers. I didn't know there was a smash burger spot opening within the market hall and was SO stoked to try. With the QR code there is also a predicted wait time given for the businesses and Fast Times said 45 minutes. I was sitting in the sunshine, beer in hand from Almanac, and with the family so figured why not. I received a text the order was ready within 15 minutes to my surprise! I ordered a Classic (single patty) that came on a potato bun with raw onions, mustard, ketchup, pickles, and American cheese for $9. Not too shabby on price, but most importantly, great smash! I applaud the East Bay smash burger scene growing and this one is delish. The menu has fun varieties of the smash and add ons like the smash sauce (highly recommend). There's street parking and a cool park/putting green down the street from the market. And I think the Oakland Ballers play next door? Looking forward to the expanding menu from Fast Times and to try a few more items from the menu soon. Congrats on the opening!

    Oklahoma + Duck Fat Fries
    Dylan B.

While waiting for some food at Cafe Noir, my partner decided to try this spot that we had been hearing about as one of the better burgers in the city. She got an Oklahoma burger combo with duck fat fries and a drink (Hangar 25 cola) that was offered at a $2.50 discount deal. We love good smash burgers and this one was was pretty good. The meat was crisp and juicy and the bun was super pillowy soft. For an Oklahoma style smash burger though, we were hoping for much more onion-forward flavor but there seemed to be not enough of them included. The duck fat fries were good, but it felt like something was missing - it was reminiscent of some duck fat fries we've had elsewhere, while at the same time not having as much flavor as those spots, making us question if we had actually gotten the right fry order. All in all, a solid smash burger place if you around the area.

The vegetarian burger was pretty good. I scarfed it down and to be honest I forgot it was even vegetarian lol. The onion rings are a good chunk of onion. Don't underestimate the chicken tender. It was so delicious and hot (temperature wise). Fries were standard.

I love that you can choose the doneness of the patty. I went with medium, and it came out perfectly cooked. The bun was soft, buttery, and rich without feeling too greasy, and every ingredient seemed intentional and added something distinct to the burger. It is a very large burger, though, so be prepared for it to get a little messy. There is a restroom where you can wash your hands, but it requires a key, so bringing hand sanitizer or wet wipes may be helpful. What I don't understand is why I'm charged an additional $2.50 for the lettuce wrap when I'm not even getting the bun. If you're taking something away, what's the justification for adding an extra charge? I could understand a modest upcharge, but $2.50 for a few leaves of lettuce is hard to justify. I can buy an entire head of lettuce for about that price. What bothered me even more was that no one mentioned the charge when I placed my order. It wasn't until I picked up my food and saw the receipt that I realized I had been charged extra. Customers deserve to know about additional charges before they order, not after the fact. When I politely asked why there was a $2.50 charge, the employee simply looked at me and said, "I don't know." There was no explanation, no offer to ask someone else, and no attempt to address a perfectly reasonable question. That level of customer service was just as disappointing as the surprise charge. The burger was excellent, but this experience left a bad taste in my mouth. At this point, I don't plan on coming back. Or maybe I'll just bring my own lettuce next time. Better yet, just give me the burger without the bun, and I'll wrap the damn thing myself when I get home.
