I really wanted to love Oh Taco - the atmosphere is fun, the view is amazing and I think that alone makes it worth the visit. The food and margaritas were just fine though - nothing fantastic. The menu is creatively written and sounds delish, but our group tried most of the tacos on the menu and the consensus was that the meats (carnitas and chicken) were dry and the variety of fish tacos lacked a bit of flavor. The chips were very good and the salsas were fine (the verde needed a little something extra in the flavor department). We all left a bit hungry, which was disappointing considering what we spent on food and drinks. Note the menu was also a bit limited. While we didn't have kids with us, unless you have an adventurous eater, there are limited to no options for picky eaters. Service was great. I'm sure we'll be back, but it won't be at the top of my mind. * Update...have tried OH Taco again, much the same review, except service was not quite as good, and because of that, I'll add a few more comments. Why charge $.25 for pork rind topping? Just throw it in. I get it if the flavor is Michael Symon worthy, but really, I got scraps. I was looking to try something different as well and asked about the beef taco I saw advertised - only served on $1 taco night though. How does a taco joint not serve a beef taco? You want the best on fish get to DeMores Offshore bar and grill. Not only on that but they have the best burgers ever. Everything they serve is fresh not frozen to begin with. Better burgers than the restaurants that specialize on burgers around Sandusky. Great selections on beer and wines to accommodate your choice of meal to fulfill your palate of the day. We are a family of 5 and found this little place off the water. Looked cute and trendy and was nicely decorated. The service was a bit slow and I kept running out of water, but overall was friendly. The food was good and we mainly bought from the specials for the day. The corn was amazing! We had nachos with the 3 different sauces to hold us over on the food, empanadas were yummy and spicy. After spending a nice summer day at Cedar Point Beach we decided to go into Sandusky for dinner. Walking down the street we came across the Oh Taco. So glad we found this place! I had the beef tacos and they were incredible. At first, I didn't think they would be filling because I thought they were small. After having one, I realized they were packed with meat. We also shared the chicken quesadilla and added queso sauce for our chips. Finished off with nice ice cold beer. The decor was amazing the food was fantastic the service was pleasant and this place is super clean. They even had lotion in the restrooms for sunburns, which I thought was fantastic because we had just spent the whole day on the beach. If I could give this place 10 Stars I would. Wish there was one near me. One of the best restaurants I've been to in the past year! read more

I would say we were given terrible service but a better description is zero service. We entered were seated, treated great and thought we had a great server. Immediately after it went down hill. After being seated no one came to ask our order when someone finally arrived to get our order they said the food wasn't available ,which is completely reasonable because things happen, however the issue was that immediately after telling us we are only allowed to order appetizers they told the table immediately adjacent to us that they could order exactly what we had asked for. After this we received our food and enjoyed it after enjoying it we were completely ignored for the rest of the night. The food was finished in 5 minutes and after that we were given no acknowledgement waited a full 30 minutes just to receive a check. After we received the check the waiter took another 30 minutes to pick up our bill and gave us back the wrong change at that point we left because we didn't care. read more

We decided to eat here because we had plans to go to the rooftop bar(which was closed due to weather)-BIG mistake! They were out of a number of draft beer (all the best sounding ones) and the waitress was completely unenthusiastic. She offered no opinions on the menu, we had to ask all the questions. Never asked if it was the first time we were there, nothing. The menu is set up with little explanation, and the food definitely doesn't come as stated. They really make it sound like one thing and you get another. We each got two tacos which left is still hungry but for 4 bucks a pop it wasn't worth ordering more. Not that I would anyway, my carne asada taco was dry and hard-like beef jerky. The menu said it came with a pickled jalapeno slaw-which came as regular slaw(cutting corners) with some slices of fresh jalapeno on top. Two completely different flavors and expectations. The second taco I had was the pollo mezcal (chicken) which wasn't horrible, but again stated that it came with cilantro and had none. I personally am a huuuuuge fan of cilantro and was really looking forward to it. Terrible service terrible food. Definitely avoid...which is sad because it's a nice location and a cute environment. read more

Tried this place on a whim but won't be back. Ordered the street corn dip and it came out cold. My drink was good but my gf's sangria was not great. We we're going to stay for tacos until we saw how they bring out their appetizers. Hope this place turns it around as the inside and decor are all very nice. read more

OH Taco was an unexpected surprise. My group enjoyed the appetizers of chips and fresh guacamole and queso. We were in Sandusky during the week in late August after the busy season, so lunch was not crowded - a benefit to us, as the service was quick. One of our group had the Pollo Mezcal tostadis with a apricot mole that we'd never had but really made the meal distinctive. The other memorable meal was the one I ordered - the Carolina Carnitas tortas. The combination of the honey pineapple slaw and hot sauce nicely complimented the 12-hour braised pork. It was a large sandwich that was not sloppy like some pork sandwiches can be, but should be cut in half before digging in. Also, the hot sauce was neither too hot or too smokey, so it should appeal to most people who enjoy a little heat. As a baseball fan I also enjoyed watching the Indians day game on one of the screens above the bar. Overall, I was very pleased with the food and the service and the atmosphere. read more

This restaurant has the BEST salads!!! The peanut and cherry salad is to die for. The atmosphere, service and food is wonderful. The chips and salsa are amazing as well as the drink selection. So happy OH Taco is here! My boyfriend and I went on a Sunday where they had all day brunch and, for just $14.99, bottomless mimosas. We loved the atmosphere and those breakfast tacos were tasty! Best part, they have $1 chicken or beef tacos on Tuesdays. I think this is a great place to stop while in Sandusky because it is located right near the water. Boo. This place is a ripoff. The food is mediocre and I suspect the chips came from a bag. We intended to go somewhere else that was closed for the day so we came here for my wife's birthday dinner, poor choice. We arrived before 7 and were told taco Tuesday was over, we ordered a bunch of TINY $4 tacos and a round of $9 small 8oz margaritas. The food took 30 minutes and the drinks took 35 minutes. They also charge you for chips and salsa. We paid the inflated bill for our meal and are on our way to get food and dessert somewhere else right now. I suspect the reason they stay in business is because drunk passengers from the jet express don't mind the iffy food and high prices. Save your time and money, go to small city and get some awesome sushi instead. read more

As a Mexican American, I am always looking for some good Mexican food so I thought I would give this new place a try. I ordered the special spicy beef and cheese empanadas along with an order of churros. It is safe to say that the churros are the absolute best in town and the sauce is to die for! Not really knowing what to expect with Oh Taco, by the end of my night the place exceeded my expectations. Service and food was great. The tacos, although different then what I was expecting, were very delicious. They had a very wide selection of cocktails, draft beer, and wine as well.
