I am on the fence about giving this place another shot. The chicken katsu was ok, not great. The spring rolls were mushy, and so were all the vegetable sides. I am not impressed in the least.

I have to admit the food is good. The teriyaki sauce is great. But what freaks me out as I'm sitting , the bathroom door and the front counter as my view. I watch the server male walk into the bathroom pick something up that appears to be toilet paper next to the toilet, off the floor come out of the bathroom and serve food. He served at least 10 people before ever even leaving the front area for any length of time. ( long enough to wash hands) I'm completely grossed out and probably won't eat here again because of that unfortunately one bad apple ruins it for everyone. What a drag

The worst teriyaki dish I have ever ordered. Was suppose to beef chicken and beef teriyaki combo with side of spicy pork.

This place was terrible. Just terrible. Maybe it's cuz we ordered Uber eats that they just didn't give an F. After eating it they definitely deserve an F. Ordered chick & beef teriyaki and a side of spicy pork. Couldn't tell the pork and beef apart. Honestly I just think they gave me pork and chicken. I expected the pork to be on the side in separate containing. Not the case. The pork and chicken wasn't even seasoned or sauced. Thank god I bought an extra thing of teriyaki sauce (25¢)or I would have been SOL. Ordered fried gyoza and instead of the standard sesame rice vinegar dipping sauce you usually get from places like this, they gave us some generic sweet and sour sauce. Was looking for Japanese sort fry not Chinese sweet and sour. This place was just terrible. 0/5 stars as they truly don't give an F. Just drive the extra 30-40 mins to Wilson like and get joy teriyaki. They don't pack the entree section of the styrofoam dish with rice and then put the entree ontop to make it look like you're getting your moneys worth. You actually get seasoned stir fry and nicely glazed chicken beef stir fry. F this place.

Great food, reasonable prices. The chicken is very tender better than most Teriyaki places I've ate at before.

This afternoon I ordered the Yummy Yummy Roll and it truly lives up to its name! With avocado, spicy tuna and tempura shrimp inside, and salmon, spicy mayo and masago on top, every bite had the perfect balance of spice, crunch, and deliciously fresh fish. The portions are generous here as one roll was definitely enough for lunch. Even though I visited on one of the hottest and busiest days this summer, the food cart served up my sushi quickly and with stylish presentation. I can't wait to plan a return visit to work my way through the rest of their menu. If I could change one small thing, I'd add miso to their offerings. I feel like sushi and miso just belong together! Thankfully, another cart in the pod has you covered if you feel the same way. Be sure to check out Good Sushi OC... as someone who has eaten sushi at least once a week for the last twenty years, I assure you this place is worth a visit!

We had a pretty big group of about eight people so we had one of the bigger tables which allow us to do two orders every 15 minutes so a total of 30 items. Combined with the options at the hot bar, which were pretty good had some Cajun boil some muscles with mayonnaise and a lot of meats and noodles, it becomes a lot of food. We were worried about not having enough so we were ordering 30 items every 15 minutes and after three rounds, we were completely overwhelmed and took a while to finish it all. For the price, it was pretty awesome to have all the different options available especially all the sashimi which were pretty good. It was pretty busy and all the servers were very friendly and attentive and they also it's some pretty cool drinks such as Kool-Aid Thai tea & More. Would definitely come back sometime and maybe not be so crazy with ordering.

Heard about this place through the grapevine from friends claiming higher quality sushi and buffet…read moreoptions. We dined with a group of 10 and were surprised to see a converted Shari's layout become the new home of Sumo Sushi and Grill AYCE. Service was excellent, young staff were attentive and explained the (2) tier options for a basic menu and gold menu which were all made to order. the section of ready made buffet options was limited to fried rice, fried chicken wings and drumsticks, cheesey mussels, seafood boil with crawfish, satay chicken skewers, not quite an abundance that stands above places like SuperKing or hiyaku buffet but enough quality to generate some appetite. the wing we were seated in was burning hot like an oven. yes the summer is here but what restaurant doesn't have adequate AC? The vents were on as I saw ceiling decor swaying back and forth but it was too human and sun kept blasting through the blinds. Ordering was simple, just scan the activated QR code - we opted to get the Gold Menu because most of the sushi items were gold. The little robot came out with a dozen trips. The timing is a bit slow and I think the app didn't let us order more as we quickly gobbled up the few pieces of teppanyaki shrimp and sashimi orders. Both were delicious. By the end of the night almost 9pm, some items still had not arrived and kitchen staff began bringing items to our tables: udon, sushi handrolls etc.. Some winners tonight include the fried oysters (juicy and crispy panko), teppanyaki shrimp (nice buttery and plump) the sukiyaki beef (fired at your table and takes about 10-15minutes to fully cook) sushi and sashimi (great for buffet quality, still an overuse of the trifecta unagi, sweet soy and mayo sauces) but decent. Some other buffets have horrible sushi or just use fake crab and cucumbers in 20 different rolls. at Sumo, there is sashimi and delicious sushi that could compare to a medicore sushi restaurant offering. decent, not the best but good enough. Fried calamari was good, katsu curry was ok, the gyudon beef was ok but no sauce on the meat or rice. most of the soup and rice bowl items have a sliced hard boil egg which is ok but probably a shortcut leftover available from all the ramen prep. Bad items include: ribeye shortribs in pepper sauce, no flavor and there was indeed pepper water sauce on it, the meat was cooked to a shoe leather consistency. I mean why no korean kalbi marinade? The grilled squid looked good but the beak was still in and not removed. The shrimp udon tempera was just soy broth, very salty and nothing balanced or resembling japanese food like the sukiyaki dish which was much better. chicken karaage had no flavor or seasoning. didn't try the ramen at all. didn't try the salads but heard the cucumber was good. Desserts were standard, chocolate mousse in a cup, little cream fruit cakes, popsicles and ice cream sandos in the center freezer. no soft serve. there is a cantaloupe jello budnt shaped thing that was good and a coconut pudding that was good. The (3) drinks at the food bar: pad thai, mango and fruit punch were ok, just overly sweet. did not try any of the speciality sweet drinks on the menu, just ordered sodas. The service staff kept checking in which was nice and were helpful in blocking out the sun on our faces that was like a magnifying glass burning an ant. besides the lack of air condition the Sumo Sushi and Grill is great to try. Not sure if I'll be back, just too long of a wait to order off a gold menu that didn't blow our minds. at $36 a pop and about $300+ total with some gratuity included this is a pricey buffet. There are no crab legs, frog legs, oysters, stir fry dishes, noodles at the food bar just a few items that will leave you questioning why there's a basic menu and gold menu. controlling food costs sure, but please turn on the air condition and fill out the main dishes to capacity.

While surveying the midtown and downtown enclaves, I happened upon an establishment named Tada Sushi in the Midtown district. From the street, the exterior presentation appeared perfectly ordinary and understated. However, the initial arrival was entirely seamless, as the venue boasts an impressively large, dedicated parking lot allowing me to secure my vehicle with absolute peace of mind. While I initially anticipated a standard, routine sushi establishment, crossing the threshold revealed a thoroughly exciting atmosphere that far surpassed my modest expectations. The interior aesthetic is absolutely impressive, featuring a beautifully structured, intimate kitchen and bar area complemented by a curated selection of traditional Japanese spirits. The dining room was delightfully serene and peaceful, though I did note a few discerning patrons arriving with exclusive reservations. I escorted myself to an excellent, highly comfortable table, where the gentleman assisting me promptly poured a refreshing beverage. For my luncheon, I requested a crisp Margarita from the menu, followed by the Tempura Shrimp Udon. The waiter was an absolute credit to the establishment, extending a remarkably warm and genuinely welcoming greeting that I found immensely pleasing. The efficiency of the team was equally commendable; both my refreshment and the hot entrée were elegantly presented to my table within a swift ten minutes. The Udon was a complete triumph remarkably fresh, perfectly prepared, and an absolute treat. The seamless combination of elite hospitality, pristine execution, and effortless convenience has entirely won my favor. Tada Sushi is a magnificent sanctuary in Midtown Lake Oswego, and I shall most certainly be returning
