However, instead of calmly speaking to us, the employee came outside yelling at us. While I understand the need to correct the situation, the way it was handled was unnecessarily aggressive and completely inappropriate. My kids were so excited to get a sweet treat, but instead they left in tears because of how they were treated. What should have been a fun family outing turned into a very upsetting experience. When it comes to texture, the taffy is utterly chewy. Not hard and brittle like other taffy out there. The packaging reminds me of a 1950's candy store which only adds to the feeling of nostalgia. They are a local, artisan taffy company, however they do not have their own storefront. You can find this taffy stocked around shops in SLO or you can order online from their website.
