We were walking on the main "strip" and spotted this place and immediately wanted to try. Let's just say, this is definitely a must if you're around the island and need a delicious cooling off. I got a number #4 if I recall correctly which includes pineapple, lychee, and melon. The syrup was deliciously made, very flavorful, sweet but naturally tasting sweetness, if you know what I mean lol. Not really an artificial taste. Under the shave ice you also get greeted with a silky creamy macadamia nut ice cream. If I can find this ice cream I'd take gallons of it. Soo good! So glad to find a Hawaiian shaved ice spot here. I love the variety of syrup flavors which includes mango,lychee, lilikoi and many others. There's an option to add vanilla or macadamia nut ice cream. Yummm. Love that this spot is open late! We came for dessert and it was delicious. I found this place on Instagram and what drew me in was the authentic Hawaiian flavors! Haupia cream and macadamia nut ice cream? Sign me up. I went with the South End and it was really a treat. Lychee, pineapple and melona flavors with Haupia cream and that perfect macadamia nut ice cream layered on the bottom. Perfection. The ice cream also had chunks of fresh and crunch macadamia nuts. Can't beat that. Just the ice cream alone is a delicious dessert. The store itself is a great size and super cute, decorated accordingly for the theme. I went here this week with my daughter and a friend. They have some great and tasty combos. But wow is it sweet. Loved the mix of ice cream with the ice. Much like a blendini at a Rita's spot. The only thing I wish I woulda seen was some traditional shaved ice toppings and flavors. Red beans , lychee, matcha. Etc. I walked in hoping to see that and it was a little disappointing that it wasn't there. If I wanted a super sweet ice, I coulda gone to 100 different spots. The service was ok. Not super friendly, but not rude either. The ambiance was nom existent. No seating except outside pretty much. This is def a grab and go type spot. read more

So onolicious. Shared the Hawaii love with the amazing owners, and it brought me right back to the islands. The shave ice was delicious and authentic and I loved every bite. I had to travel back to Surf City and wound up eating it in the car because it was THAT good. The owners are friendly and share that Aloha spirit and make you feel right at home. We ordered three different things and we finished every bit of the shaved ice. The macadamia vanilla ice cream and the flavors of the ice were SO good! It didn't taste artificial (not a fan of artificial flavors and high fructose corn syrup which leaves a weird feeling in my mouth, and I had none of that with these). History

Established in 2023.

Family owned and operated. The Sprague family has been on LBI for generations. We are part of the Local surf community on LBI our family frequents Hawaii to vacation and surf. Our daughter for years has suggested that we bring the tradition of shave ice to LBI after a few years we decided that it is something special that the island needed. Shave ice is a Japanese style of shaving ice with tools from an ice block when they worked on the farms in the sugar plantations, they would shave ice and pour sugar cane syrup over top. From there, local fruit flavors were added and macadamia nut ice cream as well as cream toppings, and that is where the Hawaiian style shave ice was created. Shave ice is perfect for after the beach, surfing, and just a day of walking around.

Meet the Business Owner: Sprague A.

The Sprague family has been a generation local family for over 300 years on Long Beach Island. Both Aimee and Adam grew up locally and went to Southern regional high school. Growing up going to the beach and surfing on. LBI has been a pleasure. The Sprague family also owns and operates a oyster farm where they sell jersey devil oysters through Barnegat oyster collective. The Sprague ‘s are both teachers during the year. Summer is part of the locals serve community, and frequently serves in Hawaii as well. Summer is currently a Middle School student moving onto high school next year. Summer had the amazing idea to open a Hawaiian style shaved ice shop to bring to everyone on LBI,
