Rice base w/ a scoop of tuna, yellow tail & a dbl scoop of krab salad + seaweed salad, unagi sauce &fried garlic.

I stopped by Ohana to get a large pokebowl for dinner; when I pulled in to the parking lot, there were several spaces available-- surprising because the lot is often full. The restaurant itself was still pretty busy and I asked hostess if I could get a pokebowl to go and nodded and pointed me towards the counter. While I was admiring the fresh ingredients, the nice lady asked for my order: white rice base with tuna and yellow tail plus a double scoop of crab salad with seaweed salad topped with unagi sauce and fried garlic. The bowl had pretty generous portions; I had enough food to make two meals. The ingredients tasted fresh and it combined harmoniously; it's making me hungry all over again just thinking about it. The lady behind the counter was super-nice and we had a brief but friendly interaction.

Great experience at Ohana Sushi in the Reno/Sparks area. The sushi was solid across the board. Portions were just right, not oversized, not skimpy, which I really appreciate. Everything tasted good and well balanced. Service was friendly and attentive without being overbearing, even though the place was busy. The ambiance is casual and lively, the kind of spot that feels comfortable whether you're grabbing a quick bite or hanging out a bit longer. It had a nice buzz to it without feeling too chaotic. Overall, a reliable sushi spot with good food, good service, and a great vibe. Definitely somewhere I'd come back to and recommend to others.

It was busy but we got a table right away. They have a large menu but the service was good and we didn't have to wait long for our sushi. The food was good and the beverages come in the big cups so I didn't need a refill. There were some people there watching the World Cup but they were not loud. It was nice and we could talk and enjoy our surroundings.

Haven't been here in a long time and very glad we came on this Saturday. For how busy it was when we walked up, we were sat down pretty quickly. Total sushi flare at this place! Ordered a bunch of nigiri and some mussles then a couple long rolls from the menu that are in the pics. After that, Donovan (chef) hooked me up with chef special long and hand rolls. Not sure exactly what was in them but they were amazing! I told him I wanted chef special with lemon and spicy and he did exactly that. Love the vibe in this joint! Don't sleep on this one folks!

First time here... every roll we ordered was delicious! Restaurant is cute and cheery. Staff is friendly. Service was a little slow but it was lunch time so it was expected. New favorite sushi place!

Sushi date for lunch! It was long overdue and we hadn't been in here for quite sometime. Our server mentioned he hadn't seen us in awhile. I'm not sure if there are newer sushi chefs, but we were disappointed because we were craving it. Luckily our servers took great care of us. Everything else was lacking. Our sushi was over sauced and took away from our raw fish. I think we enjoyed the appetizers and our few cooked long rolls over our raw options. I think the avocado used was over ripe and just mushy. It was super disappointing, my Philly handrolls were mostly rice, no cream cheese and 4 bites of salmon. I'm not sure what's going on with this place and quality of their sushi. Perhaps a change in kitchen staff?! We were bummed because it wasn't busy. Ohana used to be a family favorite.

Super yummy, everything was very good. The rolls, the service, the restaurant. Spacious even though it was a packed house. It was 3:30 when we arrived and busy. We waited about 5 minutes for a seat, they are quick, yet we did not feel rushed. I had the miso soup, smoked Salmon nigiri, The Tornado, The Samurai, The Battle Born, and green tea ice cream, and some chocolate mocha (it had chocolate chips in it too, winning) Donovan was our sushi chef and he did a very thorough and expeditious job. Definitely a great spot with amazing rolls, fresh and clean.

Picked up take out for the first time - easy to call in an order and the rolls were so fresh! Had unique rolls you won't find at other sushi places. All the rolls we got were delicious, the Yakiton wasn't my favorite however. Great take out specials, good value for the money.

This was our first time here. We had been taking a break from AYCE, but today we went for the Lunch AYCE Sushi. It was busy, but still got seated right away. We started with a few appetizers; The Mussels and Yakiton. The Mussels were good, but not as hot as I would've liked. The Yakiton was piping hot, but very tasty once it cooled down a bit. I ordered 3 Long Rolls; The Aloha, Rocky Mountain and the Arizona. I ordered these rolls from the Raw Sushi Menu, but there was still some kind of Tempura inside, which I didn't necessarily want. Overall they were good, except for that one detail. I also had a Quail Egg and Unagi Nigiri and finished off with my favorite, Green Tea Ice Cream. As I prevously mentioned, the place was bustling. Luckily, there were alot of employees tending to Customers both inside and outside. We recieved great service and never waited very long for anything. It was a little loud though, but that also didn't bother me. We had a great time!

Recently returned to Ohana and everything was great! We ordered the potstickers, edamame, seaweed salad and 2 sushi rolls. Sushi is fresh and flavorful and potstickers were crispy and tasty. I was not a fan of the seaweed salad and won't order again. This restaurant is always busy but it's large enough that you never have a long wait. Definitely recommend

Now, this is STILL My go-to place for sushi. And I came here on Monday which was a holiday, because a couple other places that I wanted to try that I was closer to were closed. I mean, look at the number of check-ins at this place. I'm only giving three stars on this review, because for the first time, out of over a dozen visits, I had THE WORST SERVICE I have ever experienced it this place. We were super hungry, so we didn't want to wait for the bar, which I recommend always sitting at a bar area, no matter how long the wait is because typically service at a table just isn't the same. We were sat in the back, and had a server I've never seen before. Younger, dainty, petite gal with long black hair and lip and mouth piercings. We were sat down, and she took our drink order. Never brought us our dish of wasabi, ginger, and cucumber salad. She came back and give us our order sheets. Half of what I had ordered was not brought to the table. After our first wave of nigiri came, we had to ask a different server to get our ginger and soy sauce cups. After taking her sweet time, and pal'ing up with a couple other women at a different table, she finally comes back. Gives us some more order sheets. Drinks are low, no food in sight, and she galavants around the dining area, sometimes popping in the back to grab a bite. She finally makes her way back to our table, where we've been sitting with a completed order sheet for over 15 minutes. She picks it up, and instead of going straight to the kitchen, she goes and clears off a couple tables, goes and talks to a couple other people, goes and takes somebody else's order! Glad she finally found the time to submit our order sheet. 10 minutes past, and half of our order gets delivered to a different table! The kid was nice enough to ask us if it was ours and gave it to us. She asked me to order what my previous order was missing. I guess we got it, who knows. There's only one other waitress, and older woman in my first review, that I will actually let serve me at this place if I can't get a bar seat. If she's not there, then I probably won't even eat there that day. You guys got to do something with this girl, you guys got to do better. What a disappointment. For the first time ever, I didn't leave my typical 35% tip. Food was really good as usual. ***DISCLAIMER*** This pure, uncut, honest review is federally protected under Federal Law by way of Bill #EO14149. Really liked the rolls here- well made and well executed. Not as fast as some other sushi places in town, but they were/ are probably one of the busiest! Knowing this I would think the service would be a little better however our server didn't know the menu that well, and brought us out the wrong appetizers- we ordered gyoza and she tried to put mussels down on the table- even though my partner has a shellfish allergy (which was mentioned) this is the second time something like that has happened at a sushi restaurant in the last few months and I again want to express to restaurant staff- be more careful. Great to see the place so busy, it is definitely because of the quality of the food- I would have given less stars for service but the rolls are that good!

Will they be open on veterans day?

    Yes indeed

Do they have a working website?

They have all the socials, I have never seen a website. If you are looking to order, there are current menu pics on yelp and other social media, just call to order.

    Is there still outdoor seating?

Yes weather is beautiful , they have nice patio for best sushi, best drinks most of all their best guest service.

What age is considered as Kids?

11and younger. Looks like it's updated on their menu now. 🙂

What is included in AYCE? Or, what isn't? Poke?

Basically everything on the sushi and appetizers menus are included. Entrees like Teriyaki Chicken…

Does AYCE include nigiri, not just rolls?

    Yes it does.

    Do they do AYCE?

    Yep! $17.95 Lunch, $23.95 Dinner

Are they gluten-free and/or celiac friendly?

yes, sushi has no gluten as rice is gluten free and of course fish is, so stick to nigiri cuts or sashimi and you fine.

Does anyone know if they are still open?

From what I see everyday getting gas by them, they're not open.....

    Do they have AYCD sake?

Not that I am aware of.

    Do they limit the mussels?

    Nope!

Is the lunch price valid on weekends?

As far as I know all the prices are the same. They do have a special time during Happy Hour of $20.00 for all you can eat. I hope this helps,. Enjoy, it's really good !

    Anyone know the hours?

    Open 10 a.m - 9p.m. Monday to Sunday

Do they use peanuts or peanut products? Serious allergy and can't smell peanuts or legumes without almost dying.

They use peanuts on certain pieces. I'm sure they would take them off if you ask.

The portions are great. A large easily gets me two meals, usually dinner and then lunch the next day. I always do at least half rice and half mixed greens because I enjoy the salad part. Sometimes I'll skip the rice completely or do about 3/4 greens and 1/4 rice. I honestly think a full bowl of rice would overwhelm everything else. My go-to is salmon, spicy tuna, spicy mayo, and unagi sauce. Plus all the toppings. Delicious. I've ordered it enough times that I should probably branch out, but apparently personal growth has limits. The place is always clean and everything is quick and easy. A lot of the employees seem pretty young, great first job, but they consistently have it handled. I also appreciate that even when there are a bunch of DoorDash orders coming through, they seem to prioritize the actual people standing in line instead of making you wait behind a mountain of online tickets. I went for lunch with coworkers once and our whole chatty group was in and out within about 45 minutes. There isn't a ton of indoor seating, but there was enough for us, the AC was glorious, and it worked perfectly for a quick lunch. Good portions, fresh ingredients, easy ordering, and consistently good. Basically my designated "fine, I'll get sushi by myself" place.

They've been around for 15 years and it's still a good time since when they opened. It's not trying to be overly fancy. The atmosphere is casual but definitely a little more hip than your standard sushi place, and the music is usually excellent if you're a millennial. There are TVs if you want to watch a game, but it's also a great place to sit, catch up with friends, and not feel like they're trying to rush you out the second you finish eating. They have a ton of fun rolls, including plenty of cooked options if raw fish isn't your thing. My regular rotation is Tha Latingo, Tha Shiznit, Tha Hitman, Tha Caterpillar, Upside Down Shrimp, and Yakitori. One of those first few is legitimately spicy, not "sushi restaurant spicy," so maybe follow it with something mild unless you enjoy making questionable decisions. I'm not much of a yellowtail person, so someone else will have to provide the expert opinion there. If you sit at the sushi bar, things usually come out at a reasonable speed, and they're great about letting you customize things. The chefs can be a little hit or miss on how chatty they are, but that's never bothered me. The servers are consistently quick, especially about clearing plates, which is very appreciated during AYCE. Overall, it's reliably good, easy, above average Reno AYCE sushi without trying too hard to be something it isn't. And the fact that it's close to home certainly doesn't hurt.
