Good rolls depend on whom is making them. Nice to see the chefs helping each other and training the new ones. We had a newer employee so the rolls weee not as polished as before. Still the same quality of fish and other items. The all you can drink sake is a nice addition to the AYCE sushi. The chilled Mango sale was a different taste.

So far this is the best testing sushi joint in Sparks that I have found. There's not a lot to choose from without going to Reno but living in Spanish springs I don't want to drive 30 min to go to dinner. I'm glad we tried this place - the manager was very attentive and the waitress was quick to get us drinks. The manager even brought us the chefs special roll in addition to our order since I asked what the popular rolls are and let us take home the leftovers (for all u can eat that's rare!) They had high chairs for littles and lively music and my 18 month old had a blast! They even found ketchup for her so she would eat her dinner - and we discovered she loves Miso soup! She would rate it 5 stars too

Enjoyed their AYCE sushi on Halloween. Walked in at 1 pm and no wait to get seated. All the servers were great, super attentive to checking for more orders. Food came out quick and tasted great. Our family loves coming here for their menu items and yummy flavors!

Food was great my favorite roll is definitely the five-0 and the 9 yard all the appetizers a great as well unfortunately im not to big on raw seafood but from what my freind said it was good! Service was not bad I would like a little bit more checkups since we did finish our food and drinks fast we tend to get like two rolls at a time to play it safe. Ambiance is not bad I like the sports they played on the TV.

I recently went to Tha Joint Sushi and Grill. I had not been there in years; since the opening. I was not impressed with my first visit and had not been back. I decided to give them another try, and I'm glad I did. They were kind of busy and it took me awhile to be served at the bar; even between orders. The sushi was very good and they have some unique offerings. Overall, it was good, but I still have my favorite places that I continue to frequent.

The Joint Sushi is a go to for sushi in Sparks! We ordered take out and everything was so tasty and traveled well(sometimes not the case). We ordered the Tha Joint, Tha Rainbow, Tha Funky Chicken, and tha Hottie with a side of edamame. Tha Funky Chicken is a must!! Sooo good! They have a large interior and specials for dine in.

Great food , and selections wait is worth it. Service is ok, can loud sometimes but not crazy. All you can eat if you're really hungry.

I absolutely love this place!!!!! The funny thing is I hate sea food! Been going here about two years now and I'm not a sea food fan. So it was absolutely amazing when I found out they had vegetarian sushi. A bunch of different ones and they're all delicious but THE WANTED is the absolute best one!!!!! My favorite sushi roll there. Staff is always nice and respectful. The food is also AMAZING! I usually go for the all you can eat which I think they have everyday until 4pm. And all you can eat is not available on weekends. It comes with unlimited sake (which i absolutely do not care for at all but maybe you will) They have different flavors of sake. At the end of your meal or more like buffet I would say lol you get to pick a dessert. The unlimited sushi and sake and one dessert comes all included in their daily all you can eat lunch special. This place is absolutely one of my top favorites places to eat when in town. Can wait to go next month after my movie date! Highly recommend this place. To me it's definitely also worth the price if you go during the unlimited hours.

Wow, what a fantastic Five Star Dining Experience at Tha Joint in Sparks off Los Altos Pky. We were welcomed and seated at the sushi bar, the place was electric with lots of customers for a buzzing Saturday night. Loved the atmosphere and the service was outstanding! The Fish was fresh and the menu had so many choices of rolls. Thank you to Tony, our server and Sushi Chef's Gil & Javier for creating so many sushi rolls with style. It was a Five Star Dining Experience. Fast, friendly delicious and fresh. Well done! Tae Sung Lee is an Outstanding Restaurant Manager. The rolls are good and there is a solid variety to choose from. Nothing necessarily blows me away, but it satisfies the craving when I am in the mood for sushi. Service has been hit or miss depending on how busy it is. Sometimes it feels attentive and smooth, other times it can be a little slow, but overall it gets the job done. Ambiance has stayed pretty much the same since opening. It is a casual sushi spot with a steady flow of customers. Nothing overly modern or upscale, but comfortable enough for a relaxed meal. Overall, it is a reliable place that has been around for a while. Not extraordinary, but steady enough to keep coming back now and then.

I live not close by so when I got home and dished up a plate, the tempura shrimp was hard and not cleaned (still had the poop vein), the dressing from the salad soaked the gyoza making it not edible, the sushi was missing the toppings on the Godzilla roll, King Kong roll and the crystal shrimp deluxe. Fast forward to bedtime and I had the worst stomach ache. Let's just say I won't be ordering Togo anytime soon from here.

This was the second time I tried this restaurant since moving here from the Bay Area. Which of…read morecourse automatically makes me a Chinese food snob! It's been about 4 years since the last time, I tried the food here and since I was hosting about 10 people at my home, I wanted to serve something simple and cost effective. My goto for this is Chinese food. I ordered chicken chow mein and stir fried mixed vegetables. It came in two trays and enough from probably closer to 15 people. So portions were good but the total bill was between $120-$130 about what I've come to expect here in Reno. Let's just say, I've traveled to several countries in Asia and lived most of my life in Northern CA eating quite a bit of Chinese food. This doesn't make my an expert but it would be fair to say, I am quite familiar with what is considered mainstream traditional Chinese cooking. But let's get to the food, with the caveat that I realize that everyone's preferences can vary widely when it comes to food. So my opinion is based on what one would find in Hong Kong and San Francisco. The chicken chow mein had all the correct ingredients, long noodles that were slightly thicker than say spaghetti, had the correct amount of softness without being mushy. Chicken was presented in slices and appeared to be white meat, there was some white onions thrown in there for some texture and flavor. Normally when I order chow mein, it isn't served with a brown "gravy". Not that this dish was swimming in it, but think of spaghetti with tomato sauce. Replace the red with medium dark brown and you get the picture. Now my guests who are Reno locals, thought it was great and flavorful. I would agree with the flavor part but it was much too saucy for my tastes. Would I try Chin Chin again for noodles? I'm not sure but the owner did state, they can make dishes any way I like, so perhaps I'll order off menu next time. The stir fried mixed vegetables is where I was most disappointed. Let's start with the ingredients. All were sliced in 2-3 inch pieces, which included button mushrooms, zuchinni, bamboo shoots, brocolli, carrots, and onions. This dish could have passed for a savory vegetable stew. There was a lot of gravy, so much so, that it colored all the vegetables brown, except for the carrots. The sauce had a slight "twang" to it, almost vinegar or worchester-like. Not my thing, I could not taste the individual flavors of the vegetables because of how heavy the sauce was. The brocolli was over cooked where the flowerette parts were pale. I prefer my vegetables to be just cooked, almost snappy. I would not order this dish again. No comments on the restaurant itself as both times I tried it, was for take out. So bottomline, would I try Chin Chin again? Yes but I will be very specific on how I would like my order prepared. Maybe for their lunch special.
