    Poke bowl

Great Yelp find friendly staff Their portions are huge for poke bowel. Lots of options to build your bowl and with no limit on the free toppings it's not hard to build a big one. Their Korean spicy sauce has a huge kick do not play around with that one unless you can handle some serious heat. Come hungry and leave satisfied

Kinda underwhelming. Small portions and tiny amount of crab salad. Good flavor, good idea, bad execution. I even got the large bowl and it wasn't very much. Probably would not come back.

So much yum! Excited that this place is on the edge of Reno close to the Cali border. We all got bibimbap bowls full of fresh and tasty ingredients, topped with our choice of sauce and toppings! Meat was super juicy with the right amount of spice. Veggies were fresh and vibrant. Service was very friendly and patient with us as we were new to all the options and choices. Great spot we are eager to come back to!

I live down the street and wanted to try something close to home. Glad I did! Almost licked my bowl clean. My two year old also ate one of the spring rolls and he hates everything! Staff was very friendly and clean. Definitely give this place a try.

We visited Kokos Bowls for the first time and were pleasantly surprised. You choose the ingredients for your bowls and everything is fresh and prepared very flavorfully. My husband had the poke bowl with ahi tuna, crab and various other items and sauces-it was so good! I had the teriyaki chicken bowl over rice with edamame, broccoli and green onions. Miso soup was served with both. Friendly, helpful service and great food!

We called ahead and asked if they accept pets, they said no problem, "we are dog friendly" and we go in and wait 20 minutes while they serve two customers. Nobody else was in the restaurant. and after 20 minutes they tell us "pets not allowed" I said, "we called ahead" and she said that was a misunderstanding. I then asked "why would you wait 20 minutes to tell us . the rude lady's reply, "we were helping other customers". I said, all that would've been needed was a quick "hey no dogs allowed" when we entered the door. She was completely rude. I will never return again. The place is totally dead, and this was over the lunch hour. I am not sure how they stay in business. Avoid.

This is the first visit since they've changed from Koko's Kitchen to Bowls. We order at the counter, building your own bowls, in Poke style. We, a party of three, had all different bowls, and everything was great! The staff was really kind, and the attention to details, making sure we get freshly prepared food at the same time, is wonderful. The bowls are beautifully presented, the spicy bulgogi is flavorful, picked daikon is crispy, and the brown rice is perfectly cooked. Also the portion is just right. I loved everything about it! We will be back, and next time I'm definitely trying the Korean waffle sweets (the Korean version of Taiyaki, I think).

Hands down the best bimbimbop place in Reno it's def made with love. The beef was so tender & yummy & the pork was perfectly cooked. The service was so good and I couldnt ask for anything better.

Wanted poke so we got some poke. Their decor in here is super cute and it is very inviting. The people working the counter were friendly, fast and informative. Killer deal on their Mon-Fri lunch specials. Poke bowl was very filling and came with soup not bad portions for $13.99. Bibimbap bowl was beautifully put together and looked delicious also. $16.99 for a monstrous size bowl and soup on the side!! We did tempura shrimp as our appetizer which were also, beautifully cooked. FRESHEST SELECTION AND FOOD FOR THIS SERVING STYLE I HAVE SEEN YET. VERY CLEAN AND VERY WELL PUT TOGETHER.

This place was absolutely amazing! Chongsuk was so incredibly helpful and patient since it was my first time! She helped me decide on the Spicy Pork Bulgogi! It wasn't too spicy and had an amazing texture! I also tried the picked radishes and even though i'm not a fan of normal radishes these were the so delicious and added an amazing texture! It also came with a side of miso which was pretty good! Inside was also so pretty and incredibly clean! I'm so glad i decided to come here! I definitely will be coming back again and asking for more recommendations!!

I really enjoyed the ambiance here, felt very welcoming and the little paper lanterns were a nice touch. The staff were very friendly and the food was prompt. I got a teriyaki chicken bibimbap bowl and my husband got a beef bowl, my son got tempura shrimp (the appetizer) and a side of miso soup. Everything was good! I liked the selection of toppings offered. The pickled daikon and kimchi were both crisp and flavorful, next time I'll ask for extra! My husband's beef was very delicious, well seasoned and had a great overall flavor. My chicken was a little on the under seasoned side, and I feel like I couldn't really identify the two sauces I asked for. I also think my crispy toppings were forgotten, or I definitely needed more because I couldn't find them in there at all. The tempura shrimp was great, fresh and crispy and all three of us enjoyed the miso soup! The wasabi I got in my bowl had an odd flavor I didn't enjoy and the crab salad had a fishier taste than I'm used to, so I might skip those next time. We tried some of the special sodas offered and really enjoyed them, especially the strawberry cream one! My husband was already trying to figure out how to order a flat of them Overall this seems like a great spot. We are moving to this side of town so I'm sure we will be back. I look forward to trying the poke!

One thing we noticed right away was that the bonchon was already set on the tables before guests arrived. It wasn't a large spread--just a small tin of cheese corn and a divided tray with kimchi, bean sprouts, and fish cake--not sure how long they were left out and did look and taste dry. The servers seemed to work well together. Different team members checked on us, cleared dishes, served food, and helped other's tables. Once it got busier, they also used robot servers to help deliver food. We started with the salad with house dressing and the popcorn chicken. Both were good, and the chicken was nice and moist. For the BBQ, we ordered the Chardol, Ju Mul Luck, Hawaiian Steak, Tri-Tip Bulgogi, and Galbi (short ribs). Having eaten at quite a few Korean BBQ restaurants in Las Vegas, we noticed the portions here were a bit smaller. They also limit each round to three appetizers and four meat selections. Overall, the service was good, and we especially appreciated Eurie for being friendly and attentive. The only thing that concerned us was when another server changed our grill. Instead of lightly drizzling oil onto the grill, she forcefully squeezed the bottle, causing the oil to shoot out onto grill. It seemed like an unnecessary safety risk for both guests and employees. Our favorites were definitely the Tri-Tip Bulgogi and the Galbi. Both were flavorful and tender. The Chardol was good, but the slices were very thin and the portion felt a little small. The restaurant filled up quickly between 5:00 and 6:00 p.m., so it's clearly a popular spot. Overall, we enjoyed our meal and would come back for the Tri-Tip Bulgogi, Galbi, and the teamwork displayed by the staff.

Compared to Korean restaurants in major cities this doesn't hit the mark yet its prices are just as high. It's alright if you need a quick fix, but overall food was a bit salty. I first met Chef Kwon when he had the original Hiroba Sushi. At the time, it was my fave and considered as arguably the best sushi joint in the area. I followed him to Sushi 7 when he left Hiroba...equally delicious. Then I followed him to the original Tofu House when he opened that in Independence Square on Moana. I was puzzled when I found him at his new restaurant, being that he's trained a LARGE amount of the area sushi chefs and I only knew his sushi. He told me that Tofu House was his passion...as he put it, Korean Soul Food, straight from his roots and his heart. Unfortunately, the original location didn't survive the pandemic... After the pandemic, he opened Poke Doke/Bowls N Go, poke in Carson City...great food there, too. Then, finally, he reopened Tofu House in this new location! Located in a strip mall in South Reno, the ambience is casual and comfortable. The service is friendly and consistent...and the food is AMAZING! It's NOT all about Tofu...he has all the standard Korean dishes available, from Bibimbop to Bulgogi and his Japchae is out of this world. He also offers some unique spins on other dishes. It's one of my 2 favorite Korean places around and both are uniquely different from each other. I'll visit here whenever I get to the south end of town...in fact, I'll go out of my way to visit. I think you'll be very happy when you visit if you like this style of food...his cuisine is outstanding! I suggest, as always, that you go see for yourself to see what YOU think...
