Ohana Sushi has become our go-to in Suffolk, and it's easy to see why. The sushi here is always fresh, cleanly prepared, and beautifully plated--from silky salmon nigiri to creative specialty rolls that balance texture and flavor just right. But honestly? It's the hospitality that keeps us coming back. Every visit, we've been treated like family--this time with complimentary edamame, crispy spring rolls, and a surprise free dessert (see pic: ice cream wafer sandwich). Past visits have even included cheesecake, ice cream scoops, or cream puffs on the house. These little gestures elevate the experience and make each meal feel special. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambience adds to the charm--warm wood details, cozy booths, and string lights that give it an inviting, intimate vibe (see photo).[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] It's the kind of spot where you can unwind, enjoy great food, and never feel rushed. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Consistent food, thoughtful service, and an atmosphere that makes you want to linger--Ohana truly lives up to its name.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

This place is great it's small and the service is excellent. The sushi and sashimi are amazing. We've never had to wait they gave us free egg rolls and free dessert. We ordered the chefs special which has 10 pieces of sashimi and a spicy tuna roll. So good and a lot food for two people. We also ordered steamed gyoza as an appetizer. We were full. I think they have changed their name but I didn't catch it.

I'm sure many people understand the struggle of trying to find a good sushi place, my wife and I definitely do. Our previously favorite spot recently went under and we decided to eat at local places here in Suffolk, many nearby didn't meet the standard set by our favorite. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Upon walking in to Ohana, it gives off a beautiful atmosphere with custom toasted wood furniture and comfortable seating, dazzling lights, and good music.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Our hostess and server were absolutely lovely and friendly, as if we were regulars. The food arrived quickly, we were first given a edamame on the house, then put in our food orders; a appetizer "Crazy Shrimp Tempura" which was crispy, flavorful, and the sauce was delightful. We also ordered the "Boat Combo No. 1". It was a beautiful display and the taste was a match. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our meal and decided that this would be our "go to" sushi place from now on.

Consistently fresh, quick, and amazing EVERY.SINGLE.TIME. Sorry for yelling, I am just so happy and excited about this place. I moved here about 6 months ago and was in the hunt for my sushi spot. This is the one. They do not disappoint and I LOVE the cheesecake!!! Please don't ever change, Yama Sushi!

The place is so beautiful! Like your transported to Japan with wood decore, cherry blossom tree and samurai swords and geisha dolls. The waitress and chef was pleasant and made sure to check on you! The sushi was perfectly balanced! Tuna sashimi was so tender it melt in your mouth! The avocado salad was so big, the spring rolls where tasty and the shrimp tempura was yummy! The desert topped it off! Everything was delicious! Definitely a place for all occasions! And be prepared to be transported! Definitely will come back!

I love coming to this location! The service and quality of food is always good. The last two times I've come, Kelly has been my server. She is kind, attentive and very sweet. They also give freebies from spring rolls to cheesecake which is also a plus.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]I love the food, love the service, and love the ambiance.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I got yakisoba shrimp. Shrimp Tempora roll and cheesecake.

Highly recommend!!!!! I stumbled upon this spot on yelp and didn't know it existed. This restaurant is fairly new. I remember another sushi restaurant at this spot before. I decided to give it a try with a friend and I'm sure glad I did. We walked in and it was a cute little spot. It was a weekday so there was no wait and was able to get seated right away. Upon sitting down they gave us complimentary edamame. The menu had a good variety of different types of sushi rolls, sashimi and kitchen items. We ordered the sushi combo which included 2 rolls and a salad. The kids ordered the fire chicken. The food didn't take long to come out. The presentation was pretty and the servings were huge and I wasn't able to eat all my food. We were also given a free rolls on the house. The sushi was excellent and tasted fresh and the fire chicken dish was huge. Enough for my two kids to share and it also came with rice. When we asked for the check they also gave us dessert on the house, mini chocolate eclairs. The servers were really friendly and attentive. They came to our table to check on us throughout the meal. If your in the area check them out.

Spicy Tuna Roll

I really like the atmosphere of this place. The food is always good. The service is also really good. It's one the few places I've been where they are super attentive during your visit. My only critique is the wait to get your entree (at times...hence 4 stars). I think it's really about the time of day you go and what you order. I've ordered the spicy tuna, spicy salmon, and tried several speciality rolls. I'm never disappointed.

I'm not sure what type of fish. It was discolored and smelled odd. It was advertised as tuna lol.
Renae L.

Ordered a sushi dinner. The fish was discolored, had a strong odor and poor taste. The fish (it could be tuna lol) in the roll was brown, it looked seared but wasn't. The fish wasn't really recognizable and we were unable to eat. Everything was soaked in "American sushi Mayo" to mask the flavor/odor. I wouldn't take the risk. Go elsewhere. It cost over $40.

Lunch Box Pick 1 Pork Yakisoba

Cute, clean, delicious. This is the best sushi place I've been to on the East Coast. The space is very clean, with an authentic and comfortable atmosphere. The service was wonderful, and we got complementary edamame while we ordered. We got the lunch box special and pork yakisoba. The Earthquake roll was divine and the yakisoba was really good too. To finish, we got complimentary peach slices for dessert. I definitely recommend coming here for the lunch special, or for any meal.

When the dish came out, it was basically a 50/50 split of salmon and tuna. Most other restaurants usually include more variety in their sashimi deluxe, such as shrimp, yellowtail, tilapia, or even krab, even with a substitution, so I was already a little disappointed. Overall the tuna looked quite gray in color, and the salmon was noticeably dry. Definitely not the quality I expected for the price. What really upset me was the bill at the end. The menu listed the sashimi deluxe at $25, but my check showed $33. I politely pointed this out to the waitress, and she said she would speak with the manager. When the manager came over, I was told that the waitress was new and that there is an extra charge for substitutions. The problem is that neither the waitress nor I was informed about this beforehand. What made the experience worse was the manager's attitude. She came across as rude and completely unconcerned when I explained why I was frustrated. I understand businesses have policies, but customers should be informed about additional charges before ordering, not surprised when the check arrives. I'm sharing this review so future customers are aware to ask questions about possible hidden or unexpected charges before ordering. Also, I just want to make a note that I have been coming to Nana, since Panera Bread was still next door, so this change in food quality, prices, and service is very disappointing.

The chicken though.... It had weird black marks in it and had a terrible smell. I couldn't eat it. There was no flavor at all - it almost tasted raw or broiled. I thought that was a pretty good deal and the miso soup tastes awesome. They have a really big menu with lots of options for specialty rolls. There is a few reasons why I didn't give them all 5 stars. First, the spicy tuna roll is just okay. Compared to the other restaurants around, this one lacks flavor. Not great, would not recommend. Secondly, we spent about $25 more dollars here than we do normally on the exact same rolls at other restaurants. The specialty rolls are definitely more pricey for the same quality. Overall, good experience and good sushi but much more pricey for no apparent reason.
