I've known my dentist, Dr. Sanjay Doshi, for nearly 30 years, as he was my mom's dentist for over…read more25 years and he's been my dentist for the past couple of years. In May of 2025, I received a diagnosis of a highly aggressive, highly metastatic head & neck cancer, of the tonsil, over nine lymph nodes and base of tongue. This type of oropharyngeal cancer threw me into a club that no one should ever be a part of. I was told that without immediate, intensive radiation and chemo (requiring extensive other treatment radiation dentistry), it was terminal. I was given weeks to months. The condition was serious. And time wasn't on my side. After being assessed by my oncology team, I was informed I required the highest level of radiation a patient could be given (70), all the way around my neck, and that I would potentially have dental decay, lose some or all of my teeth have jaw bone decay or even jaw death. My physicians and specialists, including Dr. Doshi, were surprised about my diagnosis. But Dr. Doshi was always confident, from the very start, that I'd get through this, though time was not on my side. He gave me hope from the very start that I would not only survive, but that I would come through this on the other side, and thrive. Thankfully, he was right. Dr. Doshi immediately took me under his dental care, for radiation dentistry, immediately contacted my radiation oncologist, coordinated with him, and began to prep me for radiation (radiation of this nature should never begin until all dental decay and pending dental issues have been addressed). This involved a great deal of work. I never felt overwhelmed about the dentistry, as Doshi took care to keep me safe while working at warp speed to expedite my dental care needs, so that I could quickly begin my treatments. In one month, Dr Doshi did a year's worth of dental work, and he instantly became the a key figure in my cancer care team. Or as I call them, my dream team. He handled my imaging, testing, exams, x-rays, 3 necessary root canals, he had necessary custom fitted, upper and lower radiation guards made (to protect my teeth and gums from radiation during radiation), and a custom fitted, upper and lower fluoride trays, for my daily care, post radiation and chemo. He worked with precision and speed, to ensure I went into my cancer treatments healthy and strong. I went into my treatments with no dental issues or oral infections. It was a brutal cancer treatment. Only someone who's been through this level and type of treatment can truly know how brutal, but I made it through. Thankfully, I am in remission. With a less than 5% chance of recurrence. Radiation to the neck and head can seriously compromise one's dental health, in the short term and long term, so radiation dentistry is necessary before and indefinitely after such an intensive cancer treatment. So I will continue to see Dr. Doshi, moving forward, for closer care - involving more frequent cleanings, more frequent dental exams, and laser gum therapy - to minimize the chances of greater dental damage down the line. He's gone above and beyond in ensuring my dental health is tended to so that my quality of life can be improved upon and hopefully maintained for the remainder of my years. And simultaneously, Thanks to Dr. Doshi, 7 months after cancer treatment ended, I've not lost a single tooth, while other patients reported loss of many or all teeth. I hope to spare my teeth for the long run.

However, in November 2022 my insurance mailed me a check for $5,500 (not exact amount by over that). I text Dr Doshi directly to inform, and he stated that would cover Invisalign. I did not have dental work that cost of $5,500. Here we are 2026 no Invisalign, and I have been ghosted by Dr. Doshi. I have reached out to my insurance to look further into this matter.

I've been coming here since March of 2021. So far, I am satisfied with their periodontal treatment…read more Appointments were fairly easy to make, since they were willing to see me within the week, compared to a couple of months out with other periodontists. I came for an evaluation of a loose molar, which Dr. Li said sadly, must be taken out. After that part, their administrative staff also gone over with me necessary treatments, and how the implant installation works per step, and also how the insurance, and my own payment, will cover it. They also advised me the amount of possible pain for each step, which to me, was tolerable. Even though my general dentist only noted the loose molar, and referred me to the periodontist, Dr. Li also recommended additional work in other areas once the molar implant is done. It shows me she cares more about her patients' dental health than general dentists. I do look forward for my implant result, and work on the other areas as well.

Bad Experience at This Dental Clinic…read more I had a very disappointing experience at this dental clinic and feel it is important to share it so other patients are aware. 1. I had a dental implant done at this clinic, but it later had to be removed due to severe pain. I do not feel that the potential risks or complications were clearly explained beforehand. The entire experience was very painful and frightening. 2. The clinic was out of my insurance network, but this was not clearly communicated when I called to make the appointment. Instead, I was only told about the financial details after I had already arrived and was seated in the clinic. Patients should be informed about insurance status before the appointment so they can make an informed decision. 3. I was charged additional money for a very simple procedure (just placing a loose crown back in position). The cost felt unreasonable for such a minor treatment. 4. A full-mouth X-ray was taken even though it did not seem necessary in my situation, which resulted in additional radiation exposure and extra cost. 5. The financial staff member provided an explanation about the charges after I sit in the exam chair. the discussion felt somewhat forceful and made me uncomfortable. It did not feel like there was much room for open conversation. Overall, the lack of transparency regarding insurance, costs, and treatment decisions made this experience very frustrating. I believe patients deserve clear information before treatment so they can make informed choices about their care.

Couldn't be happier. I had to have a couple fillings redone that that were acceptable, but not the best. He took pictures along the way to show me the before and afters and I can attest that he takes pride in his work. He's a perfectionist, which means he may diagnose a few more fillings than your average dentist, but as a dentist myself, I would agree that all the fillings diagnose were valid and needed to be done (even if it was a small problem) and the result was something much better after. I'll be back for any other dental work.

FINALLY A GOOD DENTIST!!…read more I have gone to the dentist every six months my whole life. I recently switched dentists a few weeks ago to Dr. Chae at the DBDG and it changed my oral health. I found out that I had some cavities that have been growing for YEARS. These deep cavities have been ignored for years due to their position which Dr. Chae said was challenging (top and bottom molars in the very back). These have been growing since I was in High School, and have been overlooked. I have always gotten X-rays and was even given a deep cleaning 2 years ago. There is no way the dentist didn't see these cavities. That why I say, THANK GOD FOR Dr. Chae! He shows you WITH PICTURES what is going on in your mouth. When he does the work for you he takes progress pictures and insures you that no cavities are left behind. His work is also close to art. Due to the nature of my deep cavities Dr. Chae had to essentially rebuild my tooth and he did a wonderful job. I also felt like he was being honest with me and truly cared about my oral health. In addition, I would like to add that his staff is incredibly kind. The 3 receptionists are polite and professional. The hygienists and assistants I have come into contact with are also very kind and helpful when answering questions. Lastly, I would like to say THIS GUY IS THE REAL DEAL. He has been recently published in Dental magazines MULTIPLE TIMES and he works with the USC dental program. He is a great dentist and I highly recommend him. I don't know what insurances he takes but I have delta dental PPO.

There is absolutely no pressure. Dr Bae and his staff are all about making you feel comfortable. I highly recommend Angelica for your teeth cleaning appointments. I also have to mention that if you need a crown...you can have it the same day. How awesome is that? No temporary crown and waiting weeks for it to come in. That's so yesterday! Dr. Bae also has their own dental plan. It is a so worth it. As we all know most Dental insurance is not so great. I also have to mention how great Dr. Bae's office staff is. Since I get regular cleanings and checkups on my teeth, I didn't think much of it until I started feeling some incredibly intense jaw pain all of a sudden early summer, and for a more than a couple of weeks, I relied on Advil, soft foods at room temperature, and late night video game binges to distract me from the immense discomfort I was going through. I was eventually referred to by my dentist to Valley Green Endodontics and boy am I glad he did. There appeared to be a hard to spot (even by x-ray) hairline crack in a tooth that was found only by removing the filling...and thus the root canal proceeded thereafter. Now, I gotta admit I am terrified of having any work done on my teeth due to - I get incredibly anxious feeling trapped in the chair with the sound of a drill going on. But I was lucky enough to get Dr. Chun, who is as kind and reassuring as she is really knowledgeable as well as super skilled and steady with her tools. She communicated well with me what would happen each step of the way and I felt absolutely no discomfort whatsoever throughout the entire process. Her assistant was also incredible as well. The rest of staff was incredibly nice and easy to talk to and I was happy that my pain - as well as any very mild swelling due to the root canal that happened - subsided pretty quickly. I do need to note although insurance covered a good portion of the root canal, it did not cover the Gentle Wave treatment, which I still thought was worth it for the more thorough cleaning. Overall, thanks so much Valley Green Endodontics, for making a root canal as comforting as it could be!
