Hubs and I were wandering, and looking for lunch at a place we'd never been. OHSO is a brewery and distillery. I ordered an espresso martini, that was perfect. Not too much Kahlua and it was not overly sweet. Hubs had two different IPA's and really liked them both. I had Little O's Chopped salad perfect amount of smoked salmon, grains and the chile lime dressing was phenomenal. My husband had street tostadas. 3 doubler decker tostadas with pork carnitas and black beans in the middle. It's on the starters menu and was plenty enough for lunch. The service (Hailey!) and all the other employees were stellar. It was a beautiful day and we sat outside. They are equipped for the heat. Fans and misters. The patio is very dog friendly. Stopped I to try their Beer and Brunch. Great news, we got both. Great deal, the first beer and/or mimosa come with the meal. We were able to sit outside on the patio on a great AZ fall morning. They had a great space outside with lots of seating and a nice game area (ping pong, corn hole, foosball) off to the side. We started with a couple of orders of donut holes, these were great! I had the Popcycle Blonde, okay a couple of them. This was a tasty beer. I got the Brisket Skillet. Let me start with I am a brisket snob so you have to nail it to impress me. I thought the brisket was just okay. It was a bit stringy, more like a roast than a brisket. If the brisket was only okay, the dish was only okay. I also had a couple of bites of my son's Hot Chicken and Biscuits. Thought this was good. The gravy was listed as spicy and had a tiny bit to it. I thought it was pretty good. read more

Oh man this is a great place to go when shopping with your wife in the Prasada Shopping Center in Surprise, Az. The beer was cold and the food was flavorful. Yay! OHSO Brewery has finally made its presence on the west valley! They only opened a couple of days ago, but the word has spread and it's already getting pretty busy. They have a beautiful patio with misters, but most people stayed indoors in the air conditioning. It was not too crowded when we got there close to 11am this Friday morning. The service was great food wise! Our drinks didn't come out until after we already finished our appetizer. That's okay though. Things are still getting ironed out being brand new. Our server was on top of everything but the bar side got a little backed up. We all must have had rough work weeks! Hehe! My husband enjoyed his Ensalada Del Sol today. The last time we went to OHSO, he had the chopped salad but he enjoyed this one much more. He reports that it had more flavor. When I'm not here from weekend brunch, my go-to is the Green Chile Pork. It has hatch chiles, pulled pork, corn, aloha rice, cotija, poblano aioli, pickled onion and it comes with tortillas. You can choose flour or corn but I tend to go with flour. It's my favorite dish there which has a little heat but not too spicy. I'm mainly writing this review though to say, head on over. Plenty of screens to enjoy your favorite sports team on. Clean and very airy. We sat at the bar for drinks and happy hour food specials. The Brisket Sliders, Crab Rangoons and Mexican Street Corn, the later of which were served on the cobb, but in quarter sliced spears making it very easy to eat (neat versus messy as other places that serve them fully on the cobb). Not a place to go if you don't drink Craft beers. The only non-craft beer they offered was Busch Light, really? I tried a few tastes of the craft beers one came with a bug in it and the server explained the bugs get in because the windows are open. Not appetizing! I ordered the Brisket sandwich, it was not good. Too salty, couldn't eat it. The fries were good. Our server didn't seem too concerned that I didn't like my sandwich. Were there with a group of 12 including 2 under 2 on a Saturday and had made a reservation 2 weeks earlier requesting the patio for the toddlers. When we got there they had given our table to another party in error, but when we told them we needed outside for the toddlers, they came through and accommodated us outside. The server handled the group well, getting orders and drinks correct and in a timely fashion. The Food was REALLY good and there were no complaints from anyone. Our visit was a big disappointment. I used to love coming here. They got rid of a lot of really good items on their menu (i.e. the PB&J burger and buffalo cauliflower). Got a sandwich instead and the sweet potato fries were cold, hard, and flavorless. The side salad had about 4 little pieces of lettuce with 10 croutons shoved into a tiny bowl and cost $6... Would only recommend for Happy Hour. Arrived just after HH on St Patrick's Day. They had decorated for the occasion, had Irish music on, and the employees were dressed in green - yet when I asked if any specials were on, I was told by the bartender, "We're not an Irish bar" - huh ? They menu they gave us have specials on from Pi Day still but nothing for St Paddy's - somethings not adding up. We only stayed for one beer and left. Some people had green beer too and others not.
