Horrible place. AVOID. They have appetizers the same price as entrees which made no sense. My server took forever to get to me, so she instantly tried complimenting my jewelry which felt forced to make up for me waiting. I ordered, then I hadn't even taken a bite and she asked if I needed anything. Crappy service, let me figure out if I need anything after a couple bites. Didn't check on me after that. I needed a refill, I needed napkins. Said screw it and had to flag her down for the check. She was even ignoring her coworkers behind the bar. All of a sudden she's asking me what I'm doing the rest of the day, again, trying to brown nose because she took forever. Gave her no tip. The boozy brunch idea is one of the biggest scams I have ever see a restaurant pull off. Some items are basically like handing money over to the restaurant for free. The only way to not drink (so don't come here if you are an alcoholic, the DD, or anyone who doesn't drink) is to pay $16. Across the board. Egg salad costs the same as brisket. Gross money grab. Was purposely waiting a little bit to give them an honest review and show some grace for this location as we are fans of the other OHSOs throughout the valley. We went in on day one and as you'd expect they had a lot of kinks to iron out with slow service and overcooked food at that time. Management was very apologetic for this and did what they could to make it right. We have been back a handful of times since and the experience has improved each and every time. They have a reasonable HH menu with all their craft pitches considerably discounted from the regular menu price. HH apps are also solid, especially the cheese curds. As someone who grew up in the Midwest I am bit of a cheese curd snob and these surprisingly pass my test. Ambiance is on par with the other locations across town. While I personally can't justify paying full price for some of the food on their menu we are very happy OHSO is on the west side and is a part of our regular HH spots to go to. read more

Came here to watch the opening NFL game tonight and it was the worse experience watching football. We had 4 TV's all showing the same channel but 1 to 10 seconds off one another and absolutely no audio! They had the audio for the college volleyball game right before on 2 TVs but not the NFL game! Everyone gave us a different excuse as to why! BWW is right next door, I would suggest them instead. We saw NFL fans leaving at half after complaining about the audio and not getting any response. Not sure why anyone would eat here. I feel like we were getting punked when they put our order on the table. Taco platter for $18 had probably less than 3 oz of flank steak. Went in Sunday morning close to 1130 and we're given a Brunch menu actually wanted more of a lunch menu not one leaning toward breakfast. Told that was their menu till 2pm. I know many restaurants serve brunch but wow two is extremely late. I'd say till noon and then swapping menu to their more diverse menu. It was not a bad experience, I had one of the three salads and my wife had a brisket sandwich. Might try again when breakfast is our target meal. Service was good! So, yes we'll be back! read more

The atmosphere is really nice and it's the first thing we noticed on our first visit. They definitely have a different menu with nice selection of food. We went here to meet up with some of our peeps! We had a good time!! Very busy and hype. There's a bar and an outside area. Games were on, and a lot of people seemed to be enjoying themselves. I like that! The food was great! My salad did not disappoint! It had cucumbers, red onions, chicken, lettuce, goat cheese (I think) ... not sure of the name of the salad but recommend by the server and it was great!!! I'd eat here again. The burger was fine but the dense bread ( that was nicely warm ) was a lil thick for me . Bread lovers will enjoy. I wasn't a fan of the veggie burger itself but the condiments on it were very good. The az burger was very good. ( if you love bread.. it's big with two patties. The chorizo skillet was nice. The staff was kind. The music on the patio was deafening & all over the place... The heavy rock wasn't enjoyable while eating. I like rock. Multiple types of loud music, I wasn't a fan of the play list. Fast service. The bar seemed very nice for couples. We went for the craft beer and dinner. After being seated and greeted, our initial impression was positive. Drinks were good, service was adequate. We ordered apps with our second round and the food was meh but what you'd expect from a chain restaurant pretending to be special. We put in our meal order and that's when it turned sideways. The food took forever. When they brought it out, they brought someone else's order except for the fish and chips. They took it all away and we waited again. Next food delivery was missing one of the meals but we accepted the 3 figuring the 4th was coming shortly. It was not... in fact it was delivered to another table. Meanwhile the fish and chips came out ice cold leading us to believe it was the original one brought out, left standing while the kitchen scurried to figure it out. When the 4th meal finally arrived all of our food was cold. We called over the "manager" who literally tore into the food with his bare hands at the the table to feel how hot it was. At that point we were done. We did not want to eat there if that's how customer service and the food is handled. The only reason for the 1 star is because they didn't charge us for anything even though we offered to pay for the drinks and apps. We will never go back and will share this experience with our friends. read more

After patiently waiting what felt like forever we finally had the opportunity to try OHSO's newest Surprise location today. We tried to come two other times and the wait time was atrocious and while we were told open seating outside it's been brutally hot even with the misters. Today while the inside wait was still pretty long we decided to try to outside bar seating. We were able to grab two of the last seats and waited and waited. We were finally greeted and ordered a few beers. First negative. When our beers arrived the glasses weren't even chilled to our surprise. Being that we were sitting outside(even at the inside/outside bar top) our beer was warm very quick. It took forever yet again to order a second. We had looked over the menu as well and were never asked if we'd like to order food. I literally had to flag down one of the FIVE employees we watched running the bar. Eye contact didn't matter. We should've asked for the check then, but we were hungry and had already waited. I ordered the green chili burger and fries and my husband the cheeseburger. Food came fairly quick. Unfortunately while my burger had decent flavor and the green chilies good the bun killed it. It was already soggy, not toasted and on some form of a Hawaiian roll. He didn't finish his for that reason as well. When we were done eating they brought out another green chili burger like they didn't realize we already ate. We let them know and they took it back. We tried to order one more round of drinks. But were forgotten about and had to ask for the check. I will say at that point they must've caught on and offered to take a beer off our tab. A couple next to us were equally irritated as they hadn't even been served. They got up and went to cold beer and cheeseburgers. From what I witnessed they had so many employees in the bar area. But all focused on the inside patrons. What's the point of an outdoor bar side if you don't see us? To me three stars is generous. read more

More like a 3.5. The service was pretty good although my soda cup did hit empty before I could flag down a refill. I ordered a burger and upgraded to the onion rings. I had asked if they were the lightly breaded ones and was told they were very good but when they came, they had the "breadcrumb" coating. What I refer to as grocer section onion rings. They were very accommodating and brought me fries instead which I thought were much better. The hamburger would've been excellent if not for the doughy bun. This location is mediocre at best- we tried it three different times and have yet to be impressed. Once in September during happy hour, then during brunch this March, and again happy hour a few days later. Back in September the cocktails on the menu weren't very appetizing to us but we decided to be open minded. They tasted watery lack of flavor. The appetizers we had ordered were cold when we got them, even though they weren't busy when we went, things took a long time to get to us. Being that the establishment had only been opened a few months at the time we led it to be normal flukes. We returned this weekend due to this restaurant being dog friendly and having good experiences with our pups in the past at the other locations. This location seems off! We were seated immediately on the patio but no one offered water for our pup which is usually a normal occurrence at the other locations (let alone any restaurant we have taken our pups to and sat outside) yet I saw other employees writing names on bowls for other customers. We chose this place specifically because they were dog friendly and I had seen they had a dog menu in the recent month up to going but no one offered it to us so I assumed it was no longer a thing. Both servers we had while being there weren't attentive. The food this visit was nothing spectacular, portions are tiny for brunch! I'm 90lbs and I left hungry which is rare that I even eat all of my food. I ordered a skillet and all i got on my plate was two small over medium eggs with a little bit of chorizo on top that was bland. My boyfriend ordered the hot chicken and biscuits and he said the biscuits were hard and it only included a tiny piece of chicken on top. We decided to try it out again four days later with our other pup to take him out for his birthday (again the convenience of being dog friendly) and try out happy hour again, we got the same server. Once again no offering of water for our pup. We happened to see the menu on the table you wait by outside and asked if they were still offering that and to our surprise they are. A bit upset we didn't know about it on Sunday! We ordered two cocktails this time as we saw they added a few different ones but the same issue we had last time, they lacked flavor. You can't even taste the alcohol let alone the other ingredients they list in the cocktails, they taste like watered down juice. We ordered two appetizers, the barvarian bites, and the jalapeño cheese curds. I don't recommend the cheese curds at all. A lot of them didn't have cheese in them they were empty breading shells, so that was a waste. We were wanting to place another order for an appetizer but our server wasn't attentive again like last time. She was at the table right beside us, looked at us and turned away so we said never mind because we had somewhere else to be and the food was taking a minute to come out. So upset this location is like this as we were very excited to finally have an OHSO by us, we were counting down the days for it to open since we love taking our pups with us when possible. read more

We are excited to have an Ohso in the Northwest valley! Came in for some beers and dinner. We had the Short Rib and the Mac Del Mar. It was all very delicious.
