Yeah - Oil Changers is pricey (all of em are)- but they're open during C19, they had availability (and I didn't have time to mess around #essentialworker). I found the staff to be friendly, helpful, and professional. It was a pleasant experience. What was especially cool was that they (especially the main tech- "Shaun"(?) who was running payments checking the oil and doing the above ground stuff- then took over the underground work- he was doing a lot) was also helpful to passer bys (without skipping a beat) which seemed community friendly (a big plus IMHO). He took the time to look into why another customers frequent user card wasn't found (it had been entered correctly), and was clear about all steps and checklist items. I was there when a customer returned to have his oil changed (because they didn't have his filter in stock on his last visit- instead of going somewhere else he came back when they had it in stock - that's telling). Both guys were great. Professional service and performing complete work are most important. Being kind, friendly, and treating every customer as if they're valuable and as if each car is important is what creates loyal patronage. Good job guys! read more

Unfortunately, I'm not able to give zero or negative stars. Unprofessional staff with zero concern for customers' time. No sense of urgency, painfully slow, questionable competence. Also? While you wait in your hot (no AC or radio with the car off) car for nearly 90 minutes, you are subject to the conversations of the employees which tend to center around treating women badly, what the Friday night plans are, drinking whiskey and other such inappropriate topics. I loveeeee this location. I stopped going to the one on park street because everytime I used to go they treated me like a dummy. About 3 oil changes ago, park street sold out of my oil for my bmw and they suggested I go to Alameda location. I'll never go anywhere else. I wish I knew all the men's names but every single one of them is so hospitable and on point in their knowledge of cars. I not only contacted the corporate office, which told me to take a hike...I also filed a complaint with the State of California. My mechanic was called by the state of California and verified that Oil Changers ruined the drain plug. Oil Changes REFUSED to make this right. Talk to your top management to get all the details. I had a great experience here today. As I pulled in, a worker named Nicholas immediately came out to greet me and assisted me in figuring out whether I should actually get an oil change or not. I was really more concerned about my tires, so he checked my pressure, gave me a refill on air and topped my fluids and sent me back on my way in about 5 minutes. I so highly recommend this place. Everyone was so nice and knowledgeable. Not pushy to sell you the most expensive Oil change. I thought my air filter might need replacement but the tech showed me mine and said you don't need one it's still good. He could have easily said I need a new one because I have no clue but he was honest and I so appreciate that . They even showed me the oil stick after the oil change to show me it's clean ... again I have no clue. I so appreciate the caring employees at this place and they top your fluids for free for the next 3000 miles. This will be my to go place from now on and I so highly recommend them . Pretty quick, you sit in the car and wait your turn so pretty convenient. Jaime was my service tech along with one other under the hood I believe. He was very professional, proficient, and customer service was excellent! I always get excited when I get great customer service because it's hard to come by now. The people here are always quick and efficient. They don't pressure you into getting services done that you don't need, and they do their best to get you in and out in a timely manner. They seem to enjoy each others company which makes for a fun atmosphere which helps take the boredom out of the oil change. Pete is the man! I had a "maintenance required " light on and was told to get my oil changed. I pulled in and was greeted by two pleasant young men. After gathering my information and looking at my oil, Pete informed me that I was not in need of an oil change. I explained to him that I'd just bought the car and had some engine work done. Pete informed me that they just didn't reset the maintenance button. He helped me reset the button right then. Not only did he do that, he pulled up the history on my cars oil changes, had me take a photo for my records and told me when I would need my next oil change. As if that already wasn't the best customer service, Pete & his coworker filled up my cars fluids, the air in my tires & cleaned my windshield...all for FREE! ATTENTION: Worth reading!! I took my 04 BMW for an oil change everything checked out good cost me 102$ So then I took in my other car 06 Volkswagen they did the oil service everything was good cost me 72$ But then about 2 days later I start noticing oil spots in my driveway checked my Volkswagen, and saw that the oil filter housing had a slight leak. Mind you I used to be a service advisor for 3 years specializing in foreign vehicles but I'm a girl and I can't actually do the physical work. I took my Volkswagen to the shop where I used to work they drained the oil and checked out the oil filter housing and guess what? They put the wrong filter in. It was slightly too big. Luckily they didn't actually struggle that much to a point where my oil filter housing wasn't broken (thank god) or else I would have pursued legal action I have proof, receipts of when I got the oil change here and receipts of when I got another oil change 3 days later again on my vehicle also have a video of when they opened up the oil filter housing revealing the filter. I have been coming to this oil changers location for a few years now. Every now and then when I would pull up, it was as if I was interrupting a party. The employees would race around the vehicle and get everything done while shouting to each other and singing and playing games, this was always an unnerving experience. To me, this is bad service. Sometimes I would arrive and only one or two employees were working, they would appear to take special care of the vehicle. They would also speak with me about the service I am receiving. To me, this is good service. The last time that I took my car in for a service, I got the party service. After I got home I pulled up in the driveway and went inside, the next day I backed up and there was a fairly large size puddle of oil under my car. I checked the dipstick and the vehicle had been overfilled. The underside of of car had oil spilled all over the place because it hadn't been rinsed as they usually do. I was missing a valve stem cap from one of the tires, and the other 3 remaining were extremely loose. During cold mornings my car would make a squealing noise for about two months after this, It had been bothering me thinking something was wrong with the car. After further investigating, I found a loose clamp to the air filter that was changed during the oil change service - they did not tighten. Overall, this was extremely frustrating. I like this oil change location. It is convenient for me, and most of the time they have done a good job. But beware when they are having a party, they can really muck it up. I have not decided if I will go back there again, or if I will try someplace new. read more

I've got a BMW and I was very leery to bring it to a standard oil change place. But I learned from a friend of mine is that Oil Changers is not just a standard oil change place like some of the other names. I went in today and Angela and Pete both took care of my BMW X3 wonderfully. That oil is difficult to come by these days and they were fully stocked. They were efficient, professional, deliberate and decisive. I will definitely be back many times over! read more

I just drove from the other side of the city to make it here to get serviced with 15 minutes to spare from them closing. They still turned me away. Last time I checked they close at 5pm which means they they should take any client that makes it in before that. There was no one in front of me. They could have taken me. I told him I still got 15 minutes left and he said service takes 25 minutes. Which means he would have rather closed up shop 15 minutes early than stay an extra 10 minutes after. I wait tables for a living and when someone walks in the restaurant 2 minutes before we close, we still have to take them. And cooking food, waiting for the table to finish thier food and clean up after they leave take a hell of a lot longer than 10 minutes, so for that reason I dont sympathize with him. Then he wants to say ,"sorry bro". First off! I'm not your bro. Im a customer (or at least I should have been) and you should have addressed me as one. I bet he turned me away because I have a laid back look so he thought he could get away with turning me away early. I bet if I was an old looking grump he would have serviced me. It just shows poor customer service and professionalism. This left a really bad taste in my mouth. If you stop taking customers 15 before closing than just close at 4:45. I came in on a Friday morning and was able to pull right into an open station. The crew was pretty friendly, considering they're all young and probably not trying to make a career of changing oil all day. They walked me through every step of the oil change and made sure I could see everything they were doing. I really appreciated that (I've been screwed over by lying mechanics before). They also clearly stated their recommendations and any additional charges that would come with them. My only issue with the experience is that they likely either forgot to put one of the tire air caps back on or didn't screw it on tight enough, so when I got home I noticed I was missing one. Coincidentally I had just looked at my tires earlier in the day after getting them rotated at a different shop. Nevertheless, it's not really a big deal. I'll likely be back next time. read more

The boys at Oil changers get the job done! Super fast you get to stay in your car and they get everything done for you while you get to stay comfortable in your car. Nuymor and Jason did a great job servicing my car. My bolt plug was stripped and they gave me and new one for free! These guys should be getting payed double! I came a little early before the rush. Got here around 9:15 and they finished at 9:45! Great service, even wiped down all my windows! Love it here these guys deserve tips and the pricing is very resonable. I love the women who work here. It's fast and friendly. the last couple times I've gone in, there has been in house arguing and it's awkward. A guy with an accent has been here the last two times and does nothing but complain about his job. Once completed they charged me the whole amount... I pointed this out and they said if I wanted to wait 20 minutes they could cancel the whole charge and start over. I did not want to wait. Great experience. I have been meaning to get my oil changed for weeks and was pleasantly surprised when I drove by Oil Changers at 6:30pm and they were open, and no line. Wow! Who knew that it was possible to "have fun" while getting your oil changed? These guys were great from start to finish. I called ahead of time and spoke with a lovely woman who I want to say ended up being the manager. She was helpful by phone and super nice in person. The team was beyond courteous and everyone worked together SEAMLESSLY to get the work done quickly. They were up front regarding the costs and did a fantastic job of managing my expectations throughout the short time I was there. All this and I didn't even have to get out of the car. These folks have it down and to top it off the women do everything the men do! YAAASSS. I just brought my car this morning for an oil change. Actually, I brought it last week hoping to get an oil change then, but they didn't have the filter and had to order it. One of the guy said it would take about 2 business day to have the filter in and so I went ahead and requested it, even though you would think they would carry at all times. Though, the guy was nice enough to put in oil and check the tires for me because I told them I was going to Lake Tahoe and the light for oil change came on. I decided to come on Wednesday, which I told them I would. So today, this morning I came in requesting the oil change and told them that I was in last week the oil filter wasn't in stock. The guy said it was in which was good. From that on I felt I was rush with my service. Because the guy was giving a sticker for the window for another car, which they did catch. Second, this guy I believe he's asian short and have a tattoo on his right arm asked for me to turn on my my headlights and signals at the front tof the car to make sure its working and so I did. And it seem like he was done because he didn't even want to check the back head lights and so I asked are you going to check the back also. He explain that it should be good because when I turn my signal on "it makes the noise so meaning its also working." And I was okay..then he checked the tires and they were good. Then he said I'll check the back headlights to make sure its working so you feel better and I was like wtf?! I felt like he was being a smart ass or sarcastic about it And finally when they asked me to move the car forward so that they can have the other car behind me started on, the guy with the long curly hair tried to reset or fix/remove the engine light with it saying oil change service and inspection soon. He tried to mess with it a bit but didn't seem like he knew what he was doing and so finally he gave up and asked me to YouTube it and I was like are you serious?!. I will never go back to this place again. Because I felt rush and they didn't seem to know what they were doing as far as reseting the oil change and inspection light that came on. I will just stick to going to my dealership. The only reason I came here because it was close to my house and I didn't need an appointment, but I rather call my dealership and schedule so at least I know they see doing their job right because their familiar with my car and not just any oil change place such as this. I hope the manager sees this and talk to them and maybe teach them about customer service also and not just changing oil change, because the people that comes their to get their oil change are customers and should be treated with respect! read more
