Car had a bolt in the front tire and luckily it was parked in front of the house. Had to remove the tire because the car couldn't be driven plus the spare tire had a wheel lock. The car was my father's and it was given to me because he passed away. I remembered seeing the wheel lock package and wondered why he had it and now I know. For the life of me I can't remember where I put it. It was Memorial Day weekend and I had limited options to repair the flat. I drove to Tire Choice and found out they were open Sunday and Monday. I spoke to Jack about the issue and he said he only two technicians working and I asked if Monday would be better. He said yes because there would be three technicians working. Brought the tire in on Monday and Jack was surprised that I came back. He looked at the tire and said it could be repaired because the bolt was embedded in the tread. He told me that he would call me when the work was done. Within a half hour he called and said I could pick up the tire. I arrived and paid for the work which was very reasonable. Jack got tire and put it in the car and thanked me for my business. If you have a flat that needs repair I recommend you take it here and work with Jack who has great customer service skills. read more

I tried giving them a chance given the poor commentary on yelp and yeah don't go to this place of business. I had a disappointing experience with customer service. When I called to ask about the timing of my next oil change, he had an attitude until I asked him to pull my information from the system. Additionally, when I arrived in person, I personally overheard a staff member say he was "sweating like a slave who stole something." This was an Asian man saying this. Hearing this firsthand was uncomfortable and highly inappropriate, especially in any setting. Comments like this are offensive and create an unprofessional, unwelcoming atmosphere. 1 STAR -- SERIOUS SAFETY CONCERN I'm writing this review primarily to warn other customers, because what happened to me was not simply poor service, it was a serious safety concern. My vehicle gave me a low tire-pressure warning around 5:15 PM, so I immediately made an appointment at this Tire Choice location. Before arriving, I specifically told Jack that I was not looking to buy tires; I was concerned about a possible puncture that might need a patch. Jack checked all four tires. When he first checked the driver-side rear tire, I heard him say 24 PSI. He later told me all four tires had simply been low, generally around 28-31 PSI, and that everything was completely normal. He assured me that all four were now at 33 PSI. I specifically questioned this because I've had this vehicle for a significant amount of time and had never received this warning without an underlying reason. I asked him to make sure there wasn't a puncture. Jack repeatedly assured me that everything was fine and there was nothing to worry about. Thankfully, I trusted my instincts and went to another tire shop for a second opinion. After driving only about 4-5 miles, the second shop quickly discovered a sharp piece of metal/blade lodged in the SAME driver-side rear tire. That tire was at only 20 PSI. I have attached a photo of the object they removed. Think about that: minutes earlier, I had specifically asked a tire shop to investigate a low-pressure warning and possible puncture and was assured that the tire was fine and inflated to 33 PSI. A few miles later, another shop found it at 20 PSI with a sharp object lodged in it. This could have become a serious safety issue had I trusted that assessment and continued onto the freeway. At minimum, continuing to drive on a rapidly losing tire could have caused additional damage and turned a relatively simple repair into a much more expensive problem. A tire failure at freeway speed could obviously have far more serious consequences. I called afterward intending to report what happened to the manager. Jack answered and informed me that he himself was the manager, which made the experience even more concerning. Mistakes can happen, but when a customer specifically reports a tire-pressure warning and asks about a possible puncture, repeatedly assuring them that everything is completely fine without identifying the actual problem is unacceptable. I'm extremely thankful I got a second opinion. I'm posting this because I don't want another customer to ignore their instincts and continue driving because they were told everything was "fine." I wasn't pressured into getting any additional/unnecessary services, which I appreciated, because I'm not savvy re: vehicles and could probably be manipulated into an upselling pitch. LOL! I came in because a tire pressure sensor light was on. They charged me $40 to take a look at it and then another $130 to replace the sensor in question. He tried to hard-sell me to buy all four sensors, which was embarrassing for him and which she called a preventative measure, like I was swimming in cash. He also told me to buy four brand new tires because mine were dangerously worn down. I drove to the place that replaced my tires two years ago and was told they were good for another two years. Finally, today I realized the cover for the sensor around the driver's seat where my left knee is broke off. I went back to him to say it could've happened only while it was at his shop much of yesterday and he took zero responsibility and sent me on my way. I'm giving it one star instead of zero because the mechanics are actually good guys. But to get to them you have to deal with the boss in the lobby - avoid!! I made an appointment at 10:30a today. I just needed an oil change, and maybe a tire rotation since it's a tire place. Again, *I had an appointment*. When I checked in, the person quoted me a wait time of "a couple hours". Troubling given I had an appointment, but fine. Who knows what chaos came before my appointment this morning? But after 4 hours of waiting, I could see my car still on the lot. Untouched. Maybe other people enjoy such leisure that they can waste half a work day waiting for a simple job to be done. But that's not me. Eventually, I asked my keys back and left. If things are going to take the better part of the day, let me know and I can make arrangements. If it's always a day-long wait, let me know, and I'll drop it off at my convenience early in the day. But to make a specific time available, to double down on that upon check-in, and then to wile away the day is egregious. I am never coming back here. I had a disturbing experience at this Tire Choice location the other day. The workmanship and quality of service was excellent, but I had a problem paying my bill. I skimmed my Goodyear credit card, and the device said "payment approved." But the young Mgr helping me said he didn't get the payment, and I had to skim it again. I did it twice, and he still said he didn't get it. Now, I overheard staff say they were having IT problems and the computer wasn't working. So I refused to continue skimming my credit card. I instead called Goodyear and spoke to a live agent. The agent said the identical charges DID go thru, and appeared on my account. I explained the situation, and Goodyear cancelled the charges. It was around 3 PM and he said yes come down. It's fine. I got there at 3:50 PM and the gentleman behind the counter told me no they can't take me in. He told me the boys are ready to go home and they still got two cars to go and told me to come back tomorrow. I wasn't coming back. I left a one star review and my friend who got me the Groupon called in and talked to someone behind the counter and they said it's OK. Tell him to come back tomorrow so that's what I did. I removed my one star yelp review and I woke up this morning and headed down and then when I got there, he said I have the wrong Groupon for a synthetic blend because I have a 2023 Camry and it requires full synthetic and after talking to Toyota, the service advisor said it's fine to use synthetic blend as a viable option and he still said no he said his computer won't even let him do it and I told him this is the second day I wasted and he said it's not his fault even though Toyota said it's OK it's a viable option. My tire fell victim to the infamous potholes of Oakland. The pothole destroyed my tire, and I had to get it towed. I researched on yelp tire places, and got my towed to this place in Alameda. It was after hours, and there was ample space to drop the car off in Tire Choice's parking lot. I called the next day, and had excellent customer service from the representative I talked to. After figuring out where the driver hid the key, they were able to take a look at the tire that day, and order a replacement. I ended up replacing both front tires and getting them realigned. With the warranty, service, and quality of the new tires, I feel like I got an excellent price. I have a BMW, and walked away paying around $750 all in. I was able to pick up the car the next day, as they quickly serviced my car when the tires were delivered. The next time my car needs tires, I will come here. Customer service, quality goods, and a decent price is the holy trinity for me, so as long as they keep it up- they will be my go-to for tires. read more

The first time I went in, the employee was very nice and filled my tire free of charge but did not take the time to actually check if my tire was punctured or if it was just pressure changes due to weather. My tire was actually punctured and started losing air again quickly. I gave them another shot b/c they're the only place open on Sundays close by. I'm glad I did because they were able to take my car in the very same day I called, and they reached out less than an hour after I had dropped it off to tell me what was going on. The price they quoted was surprisingly affordable, and my tire was repaired very quickly. The only downside to that was, because they are open on Sundays, I thought it would be okay for me to leave my car in their lot overnight, as they would be closing soon. Instead, they said I would have to pick it up before they closed that day, meaning that I had to cut my plans short. Perhaps it would be nice if they state that policy ahead of time. Aside from those two minor hiccups, I was pleasantly surprised by their friendliness, fair prices, and efficiency. read more

I unfortunately have to shift my review based on my most recent experience. I found a screw in my tire and called this tire choice because I had positive experiences before. I guess a lot has shifted in the last year. I brought my car in early morning and told them I had tire repair coverage. I also asked the representative, Angel, to check my breaks because the were squeaking and I just purchased break pads a few months earlier at this location. He told me they would only check if I purchased an oil change. I reminded him that they changed my break pads just a few months ago and requested that they check them. He typed something in the computer and just stood there saying nothing. I asked if he needed anything else from me and he flatly said "nope." Then I left. By the time I got to work, Angel called and told me he couldn't reach the company and I would have to pick up my car. I told him I needed the work completed, that I couldn't drive with a screw in my tire. I asked him what number he called for my warranty company. I never heard of the number he told me so I gave him the number I had. Meanwhile, I had actually reached the company twice to verify the coverage. About an hour later Angel called me again saying he could not reach the company and for me to come get the car. I had no problem reaching them but for some reason he couldn't. I told him I needed to get the work done and I would pay out of pocket. I also reminded him to check the break pads. Later that afternoon he called and told me my car was ready. He also recommended a different service for my breaks, which could be the cause of the squeaking. I arrived to pick up my car and pay for the tire repair. I also asked him to put in writing the service I needed. I do my best to leave positive reviews but I just can't for this interaction. I feel very frustrated over my experience this time around and I likely won't return to this Tire Choice. I'm grateful that my warranty company is reimbursing me for the tire repair. And I just verified with them that the other pricy work Angel recommended is covered under my plan. Now I have to look for another company to work on this repair. read more

I usually don't write reviews, almost never, but my experience with this business was soooo terrible that I'm compelled to warn others. I brought my 2017 Ram truck in with a Groupon I purchased for an oil change and tire rotation. I thought it would be convenient and the price seemed reasonable. The Groupon includes 5 qts of oil and tire rotation... but for the additional 2 quarts of oil my truck needs they charged me $54.74. They also needed to hold my vehicle for 2 hours to perform the maintenance and inspection which was also very inconvenient, unexpected, and something you don't know when purchasing the Groupon The really terrible part of my experience occurred the following day. I examined my wheels on the passenger side of the vehicle and I realized they hadn't rotated my tires. How could I tell you ask? Two days prior to bringing my truck in for this service, I underestimated a u turn and unfortunately clipped my front passenger side rim against a freshly painted red curb leaving a red gouge mark in the rim and some red paint residue on the tire. Looking at my truck the day after service from Tire Choice, I immediately noticed the damaged rim was in the exact same location on the vehicle as it was before I'd brought it in! An easy enough problem to remedy you would think. No... I called the shop (in Alameda) thinking they'd just made an error and expecting a quick easy remedy like, "Come on in and we'll take care of that for you". Nope, the manager Chris, INSISTED that the tires had been rotated. I told him the story regarding the damaged rim, and how it was still in the same location after their servicing, and that it's not possible to have rotated the tires and have that wheel in the same location! And he just wouldn't back down from his story.. He continued to insist the rotation had been performed, but if I wanted, I could make an appointment for a day or two later, and Tire Choice "could rotate them again for me". Those were his words! At this point I'm furious and I just hang up the phone. I'd already spent 2 hours the previous day attempting to have the service performed and I justifiably wanted an immediate remedy. I decided to call the corporate office to make a formal complaint. After spending 45 minutes on the phone, explaining exactly what had occurred regarding the shops failure to perform the tire rotation, and the complaints rep contacting the shop... The Final determination was that THE TIRES MUST HAVE BEEN ROTATED BECAUSE THE TECHNICIAN SAYS THAT THEY WERE! She'd talked to him herself. One thing I didn't mention earlier is that what the technician DID do was mark the tire treads on each wheel with white chalk IMPLYING that the wheels had been inspected and rotated. He took the time to mark each wheel, but not the time to actually remove them and perform the job. This is deliberately fraudulent, misleading, and dishonest. The WORST type of mechanic is the dishonest mechanic; he tells you he performed the task you paid for, and he (or she) has not done the work. These are THOSE guys! At the end of the day; I'm out $69.99 for the service, PLUS the additional $54.74 they charged me, PLUS another Groupon I purchased that I'll never use now for $39.99 AND I STILL have to go to another shop to make sure the work is done correctly! I'm 110% certain the tires weren't rotated, who knows what else they did not do! read more

Do not go here! That's your warning. Took my car here because it had a nail in it. The tech then said we needed a new tire. The tire was only two months old and then came out and said we didn't need a new tire. It's a really good tire, it just has a nail. They said they patched the tire. We paid and left. 4 hours later the tire was defatting faster than before. My frustration started here because why was it deflating. We just had it inspected. We took it to a different shop because of the prior experience. The new tech said they never patched it. What! Excuse me! They took out a nail and didn't patch it! Do you know how dangerous that is. Completely dissatisfying customer service experience. I made an online appointment (Saturday) and dropped my truck off early in the appointment window. Andrew C took my information and the service details...oil change with synthetic oil, fix two tire that caught nails, adjust air pressure and tire rotation. Got a call about 2pm that the truck was ready for pickup. Got there at 2pm. They had not to rotated the tires. Andrew said they'd get it done in 20 minutes. The car wasn't ready until after 5:30pm. Andrew, the assistant manager, explained that the shop was understaffed and over worked that day. He then passed the blame onto his manager who he indicated was on vacation. There was no good good excuse for not doing the work properly/completely. Though I empathize with them being overworked, they should have been able to follow company processes and complete and document the work properly. I feel that the company isn't staffing properly for the workload (maybe don't take in too much work) and isn't providing proper training for employees. I had to remind them to return my lug nut lock key. On the way home, I noticed the tires pressures where all over the place, not to recommended or as indicated on the paperwork. The oil light also hadn't been reset. Now it need to bring it back today to get that taken care of. They made no effort to make me a satisfied customer. I contacted LM at Munro on the East Coast. I have called 8 times and have left 4 messages for LM, one a day at most. No callbacks. I went to my old mechanic 30 miles away and paid for a replacement tire. I was charged $120 by his business. I told him how much I was charged, and I won't repeat what he said, but he was dismissive of their intent to provide honest customer service. The tire showed very little wear, but it was uneven. I had a great experience here! I scheduled an appointment online in the morning to have my flat tire looked at. I wasn't sure if it could be fixed or if I needed to buy a new tire. Pumping my tire up with my bike pump was not cutting it Anyway I got there about 15 minutes before my scheduled appointment and Kevin (the office manager) was super busy helping other customers. Even though the phone kept ringing and customers kept coming and going he stayed positive and helped me as soon as he could. I explained the problem with my tire and he told me that one of his guys would take a look at it. After about 25minutes my tire was fixed and I was on my way home. Kevin said there was a nail in my tire and that they were able to fix it instead of ordering a new tire. I had never been to this business before and they exceeded all of my expectations. Had a dishonest experience a few years ago when I left vehicle there for about 2 weeks. Would have appreciated hearing "sorry we can't do suspension changes" instead of saying yes, "ordering parts", waiting 2 weeks for nothing, then returning the car unrepaired. Whenever called for an update they were waiting on parts to arrive. The car was most definitely driven unnecessarily for a "shake down" on at least one occasion when I showed up unprompted. Maybe this was a one-off thing but would recommend monitoring your odometer and vehicle (ie dashcam) before and after dropping off for service. If they say they can get suspension parts and repairs I have doubts. They probably do tires fine but I question their shop's capabilities; better to do the work yourself or find a more reputable shop that can actually do the work advertised and with more integrity. Assuming no new damage was produced during these "test drives", ended up losing 2+ weeks of time, and suspension still needed to be repaired. When people talk about dishonest mechanics, this was a prime example. It's unfortunate that customer's have to screen for honesty when shopping for mechanics. read more
