Came here on a whim because we were craving sushi. We sat inside around 7pm on a Friday and noticed we were the only ones eating at this establishment - so we were a bit hesitant, but the service was so wonderful so we decided to stay. It seems like this place gets a lot of to-go orders since we saw plenty of Uber eats / DoorDash and people walking in to pick up their orders to take back home. The restaurant indoor sitting itself is pretty standard and a little dim, but it does smell a bit fishy (I know it's a sushi restaurant, but it was that weird fishy smell that for some reason you never smell in sushi restaurants). But the service was immaculate! Our server was so attentive and always cleared our table in time between our appetizers everything was so clean. The sushi itself was exactly as you'd expect at a random mid tier place on kips bay, I think it's a bit pricey for the quality (the special rolls) and ambiance. We got the beef appetizer rolls and the avocado salad as the appetizer. I felt like the beef was a bit chewy and the avocado salad is literally just an avocado sliced up over iceberg lettuce. Both apps seemed overpriced for what you get. Despite that, we enjoyed our sushi rolls still! They were really good but still a smidge overpriced.

$8 for a salmon avocado roll usually isn't bad, but these portions were pretty small. Each roll was only 6 pieces and was slightly heavy on the avocado.

Yummy! The salmon bento box was yummy and filling and the Kani salad was fresh. What I wasn't crazy about was the crispy rice with spicy tuna. The spicy tuna texture was off and flavorless. I couldn't eat it. I'll stick to their bento boxes and pass on the spicy tuna.

My friend and I came here at the suggestion of our other friend that lives around the corner, and it did not disappoint. I got the sushi platter with 9 pieces plus a spicy tuna roll and it was more than enough food. The tuna roll was especially great, it had a crunch and a nice kick to it, and the rest of the sushi was great! Good way to get a bit of everything. Our food came out pretty fast, we were in and out in 45 minutes, overall a great place if you're in the neighborhood!

Seriously don't know why this place isn't rated better!!! Got the sashimi platter (wayyyy too much for 1 person, I only at 11 and took the rest home). It was $29 for 18 pieces! What an absolute steal! It also came with a soup or salad to start alongside rice. Don't even get me started on the fatty tuna. It melted in my mouth! One of the best pieces of fish I've ever had!!! The place was a small quaint restaurant with a few people dining in. All the staff were so friendly and attentive. Definitely coming back because of this awesome price!!

This their name sake roll! I never had mango in a roll before! Me likey!!

I looked in Yelp and found this! Ratings matter! It's was great! Super great service! Fast and great quality sushi! I got the broccoli too! The garlic was from a jar so it wasn't as flavorful! But I still enjoyed my lunch visit! Glad this place is on my radar now!

Great spot for filling takeout!! Got the Teriyaki Beef Dinner Box, which came not just with the sushi and teriyaki beef w/rice and miso soup and salad (which I figure usually come w/ a bento box), but it also had eggrolls and shumai! I was surprised by the variety--you will definitely be full. Everything was nicely packaged too. All the food was good but I personally didn't love the salad dressing (not sure what it was, but it was a little thick and tasted like pumpkin?). Would definitely get again when considering takeout and also would love to try the sushi here!

A good place to get a large bento at a decent nyc price that'll last you 2 meals. Ordered online for pickup on a weekday and it was quick to be ready and pick up. Got the chicken teriyaki and they gave a lot of meat. Everything was ok, nothing to right home about but again, good for a large meal when you're in a bind.

This restaurant is located in Kips Bay and seems to be take out only. I ordered my sushi and it was ready within 10-15 minutes. They made everything super fast. I ordered the special maki combo C for $18. It came with a spicy salmon roll, spicy tuna roll, and spicy white tuna roll. They were big pieces and super filling and fresh. I also ordered the salmon avocado roll for $8. The salmon and avocado were super fresh as well. The salmon nigiri/sushi was $3.75 for one piece. The salmon was large and the rice was also good portioned. I highly recommend coming here for sushi if you want something fast and to eat at home. The rolls were super filling and the fish was very fresh!!

Sushi was amazing! Heart shaped sushi was super cute. Good quality tuna and salmon roll. I got caviar on my California roll and it was worth the $1 extra

Cold soup but I wasn't pleasantly surprised by the sushi. Service was cold and borderline rude.

To drink, I had a Hot Organic Super Matcha Tea for 4.95. It was alright tea, and I wish teas were included in the price point, as otherwise, this place feels pretty traditional. In terms of food, I only ordered from the seasonal menu, so I'm not sure how the rest of the dishes are, but from what I had, I would go back for a light traditional meal. My appetizer was the Dashimaki Tamago/だし巻まき卵たま, or sweet savory omelet with daikon for $6.98. This came with three pieces along with a little dollop of grated radish. The pieces had a light sweetness to them along with a bit of savoriness. They were juicy and a bit bouncy while maintaining some softness. This was standard and good. My main dish was the $19.98 Beef Tan Tan Udon, or ground sirloin beef, spicy broth, baby bok choy, kikurage mushroom, scallions, and sesame seeds. While I have preferred udon from spots like Raku, the udon had a mild chew to it, and they were still good. The broth had a mix of sweetness and spiciness with a nice depth of flavor. The vegetables inside tasted fresh, and the meat added some richness. This was good as well. I wouldn't recommend going out of your way to go here, but the food was good. If you're in the area and looking for no frills Japanese dining in a more comfortable atmosphere at pretty decent Midtown East prices, I would recommend this place.

I've taken a lot of friends here over the course of 10 years, and without fail, every one of them has walked out mindblown--and why wouldn't they?! The wait times have gotten better over the years (probably because people are waiting for the restaurant next door), but the food and drinks here are still top-notch. Staff is always great, and they all work so efficiently. I am generally a fan of izakayas, but there are very few that offer plates that are designed to be shareable, and this is one of the reasons the food here is so enjoyable in a small group setting.
