Sake! I pick the peach flavor. They have many.

Best sushi in Northern Nevada!! Oishi sushi really brings amazing flavor and over the top customer service. We were delighted that we could order sushi and other Japanese food items. They only have wine, beer and sack but it was all yummy stuff. Their presentation of their food was super fun and interactive. We are coming back next Thursday. Super excited!!

We came here because Sumi Sushi next door was full. The place is curiously organized with separate Chinese and sushi restaurants. The place is plainly decorated with soft music in the background. There was only 1 waiter serving both restaurants, and as a result, he was spread too thin. I had to find him to give him our sushi ordering form, ask for extra hot tea cups, and to check on our order. The prices are lower than most places I've been to. Overall the sushi presentation and taste was about average.

Our favorite place was closed due to a holiday, so we gave Oishi a try as a family friend speaks highly of the establishment. The sushi bar area is small, maybe 5-6 seats, so when they seat solo patrons in the middle, or not at the end, there's 2-3 seats. There are small tables around the edge of the dining area, and there is a shared table service with a restaurant next door; we were one table away from the drapes over the shared entry so it wasn't much of a hindrance during our visit. The service is attentive and they try to convey what they each roll/plate is as they are serving it although there is a slight language barrier. The quality of the nigiri was satisfactory not remarkably great though. The portion of fish to rice was generous. The rolls were well prepared but the menu had few rolls that don't have at least two of the following: crab mix, lemon, cilantro, tempura (something) so there's not a significant difference between the ingredients; every roll is a combo of another. The seaweed salad was extra "soupy" which is often off putting, they served it in flat dish making the slime less noticeable. We enjoyed the visit, but will likely opt for the cross town place when both are open.

Found my favorite sushi spot in Carson City! I had no idea Oishi Sushi existed because it's tucked away near the Nugget Casino. I arrived for AYCE lunch and was treated with high quality fish + all you can drink hot sake for $1.99 (talk to your server for more details). I would recommend anything on the menu, everything was delicious. The owner and staff were very friendly and overall, would recommend this sushi spot if you're in Carson City!

This place is so cool, they give you this bridge of sushi and the sushi is soooooo fresh and satisfying! Coming from California we haven't found our sushi spot yet but this place is now our new spot! We live in sparks and are willing to travel here just for this place (I think that should say a lot) we got a California hand roll that came on a trophy looking stand, on the bridge is spicy pepper roll, spider roll, bay bridge and jackpot. So so so sooooo good! Will be back

This restaurant is one block off the 395 corridor and shares a curtained wall with a Chinese place. It was clean and quiet inside with most tables filled. We shared three appetizers, Yakiton, Pot Stickers and Crab Balls. The crab balls were our favorite and the other two tasted better than the ones next door at Sumí Sushi, but even so the Yakitons are still by far the best at Sakura in Gardnerville. The sushi rolls were amazing and very tasty! The service was okay, but not amazing. For instance some intuitive things servers typically do, we had to specifically ask for such as "plates" or (after the sushi rolls were delivered, "can we please have some wasabi and ginger?" In any case the food was definitely good enough for a return visit. Dinner for two was about $65.00 prior to tip.

Came here cuz we heard great things. Love that is small, hole in the wall and feels very simple here. All the workers are Japanese, speaking Japanese. The menu is very similar to Tokyo sushi in reno, so we were excited. Unfortunately it fell short. Every roll was loaded with imitation crab. Making it super filling and no flavor. Barely any fish. We got one plate and the rice felt "off" to me. Then we got another plate and the rice was completely different (more like it should be) so I knew I wasn't wrong about the first batch of rolls. Wanted to like the place, like the homey vibe. But like I said, it just fell short.

Heard about this place from some friends from Carson and decided to give it a try. Love the all you can drink hot sake for $2 with all you can eat. We were excited to see the menu was very similar to one of our favorite sushi joints in Reno. Unfortunately everything just fell a little short in comparison. A lot of imitation crab in every roll. Not a ton of flavor. The rice tasted off as well. It was just okay in my opinion. Probably will not come back unfortunately.

Food was delicious and fresh. The presentation of the dishes were beautiful and the service from Lisa was friendly, informative and knowledgeable. We will definitely be coming back.

First off, nigiri. These are HUGE and they come with a sizable slab of sashimi cut fish on top too. Pro-tip is to order less than you think you'll eat, because the size is sure to surprise and they will fill you up quickly. Don't sleep on the specialty nigiri here OR he Scallop Supreme appetizer, which is seared scallop sashimi! Second, sticking with the size matters theme, the hand rolls. Spicy salmon, spicy scallop and scallop OG are all stellar, and you will be blown away by the amount of seafood stacked in these when they arrive. One is easily an entire maki roll worth of filling and you will be stoked when you sink your teeth in. I definitely ordered at least two spicy salmon hand rolls and should have had a third. Third, massive maki, perfectly proportioned and portioned for sharing. Do yourself a favor and order the Pink Fire with spicy yellowtail seared with togarashi, sesame oil, salt & pepper wrapped in soy paper, then topped with seared tuna, yummy sauce, teriyaki, ponzu, green onions, chili flakes, & sesame seeds. The Double Down is another winner with salmon, tuna, yellowtail on the inside, then topped with salmon, tuna, yellowtail, tobiko, avocado. FOURTH, don't skip dessert! Can you say house-made ice cream?? I can and I'd say it two or three times here if they'd let me. This stuff is SERIOUSLY good. Desserts are not an afterthought here and you need to save room. FIFTH, last but 100% the most important and not least, SERVICE IS STELLAR! Yes. They are on it. They love what they serve. They're a solid team and this place wins as a result! Take the short drive to excellent sushi!

Great GREAT staff, and the food was everything you could hope for in a prime Stakehouse. I ordered the 16 oz. Prime rib, and she ordered the small Filet mignon. Mom had the prime rib which was a treat since it was a Wednesday. Alas my steak was smoke flavored and I couldn't taste the meat. $69 for disappointment. The salad was disappointing. I can do that at home. There were 2 small crescents of cucumber, 2 tiny black olives and 2 tiny tomatoes. Not big enough to call them cherry. The cauliflower tasted bad per my mother, so I didn't try it. The carrot was good. The service was fantastic. The walls were bare- no pictures? I usually go to CVI steakhouse. On this occasion, we were celebrating the birthday of a close friend. Our party of 10 had plenty of room in one of the back rooms with gorgeous views out the windows. We started the evening with a healthy round of appetizers, including Calamari, Roast Duck and a plate of Mussels. While I didn't partake in the Mussels, I will say the Calamari was good but the Roast Duck was truly amazing. Such great flavor, cooked to a tender doneness and topped with a sweet sauce. The bread roll that preceded the appetizers was something special. Warm and wrapped in paper, it was like opening a Christmas present. The bread was soft, warm and delicious. Seriously good. I ordered a Prime Rib, one of the evenings specials. It was a generous portion, served with potatoes and veggies. The Prime Rib was cooked perfectly (Medium Rare ofcourse) with the right amount of marbleing and seasoning. This was perhaps one of the best, most flavorful Prime Ribs I have had in recent memory. My wife ordered the Macadamia Crusted Sea Bass. The fish was breaded and topped with the delicious Macadamia nuts. The fish was light and flaky with a wonderful outer snap. A perfect blend of textures and flavors. I would definitely order this again. My friends mother ordered the Lobster and Filet, Glen Eagle's version of Surf and Turf. I don't know if she realized just how big a 1 1/2 pound (24oz) Lobster really was. This thing was HUGE. Like some giant sea creature. The Filet while a generouse portion, looked puny by comparison. She said the Lobster was a amazing but in full transparency, most of it when home. :-) We had a big party and the restaurant was quite full by the time we left. This did not deter our server nor the bus staff. The staff was attentive, ensuring our waters and drinks were always full. With the orders of appetizers, it felt like there was a steady stream of food. Never felt like we ever waited. The only reason for four stars instead of five was that the shrimp served with the halibut was overcooked, and the soup arrived only slightly warm rather than piping hot.
