So, I was crazing some good Asian cuisine food while in Carson City and I did a search on my yelp to see what was nearby. I had gone to Chinese, Japanese and Thai places here in town, but never knew about the Korean place that just opened up! I decided to go try it out and I was pretty impressed with the food. I ordered the beef bimbibap bowl they had on the menu, I really wanted chicken, but I was there near closing and they were out. Fulfilling my chicken craving, I ordered fried Karaage chicken. I ordered the meal to go and brought it home. The food tasted nice and hot with the traditional flavours of the rice bowl. I know the karaage chicken may not look so appetizing, but I can say it was good. I have had better karaage chicken, but this was good. I was disappointed with my experience here. Apparently, you can't bring in a regular plastic water bottle, but you can bring a tumbler. Beforehand, I asked the cashier if I could bring in my own water, since the only option offered was lemon water--which my family doesn't drink. I would appreciate if the manager can help me understand why a water bottle is prohibited but not a tumbler. As someone who has experienced cancer in the family, we want to make sure we know where our water comes from. I also ordered ramen with extra noodles. Instead of serving the extra noodles separately (as is usually done), they decided to put them directly into the broth and simply gave us another bowl. It felt careless and inconvenient. Found this place on a whim while I was in town for some errands and it did not disappoint! Probably the best ramen I've ever had and I have my favorites in Reno! I was pleased to see they have (my favorite) black garlic tonkatsu so that was a must-have for me. My hub ordered miso ramen (another fav of mine) and wooow - so GOOD! You can't go wrong with either. The sliced pork in mine was insanely delicious. Packed with so much flavor and really tender. I requested no egg or bean sprouts (I keep it super simple) but I was surprised they have corn in their broth. Not a bad thing and it was actually really good. I'm on this ramen kick lately - maybe it's because it's winter - but it's a nice craving to have. I wish this wasn't so far away but now I have more of an excuse to go to Carson more often. The lady taking orders behind the counter, was not rude, but definitely was there to take orders, and that was it. The Takoyaki had very little octopus(maybe 1 piece in each) and lots of filler. The Tonkotsu Romen had a very good broth but the noodles were like they were the store bought package of ramen noodles. My egg was also over cooked. The beef bibimbap could have used a bit more seasoning but was good and came with a decent portion of meat. This is a mix between a Bibimbap joint and a Ramen/Udon joint.. hence bowls.. The food is good, the broth that they serve with their ramen is very flavorful. I've ordered the tonkatsu and the miso broths and both are delicious. The pork belly that is served with it is soft and tender. I hope to try an udon bowl next time. When I ordered the Bibimbap on a different occasion, I ordered with beef (you can choose your protein), the portions are generous, and I love all the veggies that come with it. I myself always ask for extra red sauce because I like my bibimbap spicy. I came here twice but the first time I forgot to take pictures of my food. I like to order takoyaki, and the bulgogi bowl. Their black garlic tonkatsu ramen was also yummy and the broth was flavorful, the noodles had a really nice bite texture not mushy. Takoyaki were so good especially when it's fresh. I gave this place 3 stars because I realized now they don't give any sauce in the little plastic jar no more for takoyaki. It also due the cashier girl who wasn't that friendly or twice I always saw her as a girl with unhappy mood. The other older lady, she's always so nice and friendly tho. The down sides were disposable dishes/silverware/sides in little plastic, non-recyclable containers. It would be nice if they gave people who ate in the restaurant reusable dishware in an effort to be more sustainable and less wasteful. Also, I doubt any part of the meal was organic.
