    AYCE dinner menu
    John S.

AYCE dinner menu Sushi is above average for most AYCE sushi restaurants. They have a decent selection of appetizers and sushi rolls on the AYCE menu. Great location in downtown Libert

If you're looking for all-you-can-eat sushi restaurant, Oishi offers a large variety of fresh sushi, appetizers, and sides for an affordable price. The staff is friendly, the restaurant is clean, and offers a quiet environment to enjoy your meal.

We are big fans of sushi in my house, especially all you can eat sushi. We used to go to Taste of Tokyo when it was all you can eat. Since it no longer is, we have been going to Sushi Grove across the street. So I was pretty pleased to hear there was another AYCE sushi option nearby. We stopped by for lunch on Wednesday and it was pretty empty. I don't think anyone else stopped by the entire time we were there. Not sure why as I think the sushi was good and the staff was super attentive. They frequently checked in on us to refill our waters and to make sure we were good. I liked that their lunch menu had a lot of choices and was very similar to the dinner menu, whereas other place's AYCE lunch menus are sometimes more limited. The food was served quickly and everyone enjoyed their sushi so I think we will back soon.

I was craving sushi and a place that was byob so I landed at Oishi Sushi. The moment I walked in, I was surprised by how full it was! I think there were only 2 tables left so I was lucky to be seated right away. The employees are kind and the restaurant is clean and casual. The menu is quite extensive as the options range between japanese and chinese food. I brought my own wine and was charged $5 for opening it. I ordered the veggie egg rolls which were not good as the inside was mushy and flavorless. The sushi that I ordered was good and came out quickly. This place is decent as the service is fast and the prices are low.

This place was fantastic! The all you can eat sushi is such an amazing deal just make sure you come very hungry. Our service was fantastic also as she was very attentive. I would definitely recommend anyone to try this place out.

LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS PLACE!!! Best place for ayce sushi!! $26.99 isn't bad for everything they have. Been here many many times and literally my go-to place for sushi. It's located close to downtown libertyville. The service is quick. You get seated and order and the food comes pretty quick. It can get busy at times but still not too bad. Always go for the rainbow roll, shrimp tempura and a couple different nigiri. Which are always so good. Crab ragoons are the best! They're big and they fill them pretty good. Ordered a party tray once. Kinda expensive vs eating there but there's always a one time for everything. Still pretty good. Will always come to this place for sushi!

AYCE dinner for ~$30 per person. Service and quality are both pretty good. I started with hot and sour soup which was perfect, not too spicy (could have used a bit more heat) and loaded with veggies and tofu. I love veggie tempura but the broccoli is always uncooked (tempura inside is nearly raw). They have the absolute best crab Rangoon. These come 3 to an order and are huge! Loaded with a sweet cream cheese filling and you can dip into an even sweeter red sauce. For sushi, the salmon nigiri was super fresh and tender. My husband loved the eel pieces. Our favorite roll was the shrimp tempura- sliced small enough so you can taste the flavors and not be overwhelmed by too much rice.

    Amazing crab rangoon!

The best items on the AYCE menu are the salmon and eel nigiri, the alaska rolls, and the crab rangoon. The shrimp tempura rolls are also good and have a nice crunch. I noticed on my most recent visit the tuna rolls and tuna nigiri aren't as good as the salmon. The tuna is a bit fibrous and doesnt have the same rich and fresh taste the salmon does. Regardless, the items I mentioned at the beginning of this review are excellent and well worth it! However, I dont think the AYCE will be worth it in the future as I ate too much and hurt my stomach! Maybe next time I'll just order a couple salmon and eel nigiri, a alaska roll and a crab rangoon and that should satisfy my craving!

The staff is very nice and attentive. I ordered two rolls, Waukegan and Rainbow. They were both standard size and constructed well. While good tasting, I feel the fish could have a fresher texture. I also ordered that Yakisoba, which came with salad. The salad vegetables were very fresh with a ginger dressing. This dressing was not a traditional ginger dressing, and I felt it to be a bit watery and dark yellow. Unfortunately, the Yakisoba was not prepared correctly, the noodles were not fried, and it was served on a sauce. I sent it back asking that the sauce be drained and the noodles fried until crisp. I specifically asked them not to re-make it as I was tight on time. The dish came back better, but more like a Chinese Lomein. In conclusion, very good service, friendly people, food ingredient quality was fine, but while the restaurant is billed as Japanese, the food definitely has heavy Chinese (American style) influences. A bit nit-picky, but worth noting the bottled soy sauce and to-go condiments were also Chinese.

My all time freaking favorite AYCE sushi place. I'm pretty much here monthly. The price is reasonable for the amount of options you have to choose from. Sushi is always good! $26.99/person. Come with an empty stomach! You'll never wanna stop! Also in a great area- the heart of libertyville walking distance from a lot of places. RANGOONS ARE TO DIE FOR.

Unfortunately, there was an overwhelming stench of poo poo cachoo when we entered the lobby prior to getting seated. I don't know if it was the cleaning agents that were used but the stench was so gross and unpleasant, I'm surprised my hubs and I were agreeable to stay. Anyways, I digress. When we were seated, the smell dissipated, thankfully. We had a lovely waiter named Lauren. She took our order and my hubs ordered the chicken ramen and I ordered the ying yang bowl. I made mine a combo because it came with a Thai iced tea and pork bao bun. We also ordered the yakitori platter to share and my hubs ordered a strawberry banana smoothie. We didn't wait too long to receive the yakitori platter which was decent but the meat was lukewarm. It consisted of chicken thigh, beef skirt, pork belly, scallops and zucchini that were on skewers. The fact that they were lukewarm didn't work in their favor. The skewers were small and didn't really hold the weight of a heavy $16 process. I then received my thai iced tea which tasted fine and my hubs enjoyed his strawberry smoothie reporting that it was creamy and flavorful. The pork bao was small but pretty good. The pork was tender and flavorful but the bao bun was too thick. It was like the bao bun thickness to the pork ratio didn't match. Still tasty nonetheless. When we got our soups, they were absolutely delicious. My hubs enjoyed his chicken ramen and he ordered extra noodles which help to enhance the dish alongside the use of the chili paste and shichimi togarashi condiment. My hubs reports that the soup including the bits of chicken at first was bland but was enhanced massively when he seasoned with the shichimi togarashi seasoning. Like him, I agreed as well. My ying yang soup was also bland in the beginning but once I added my bowl of extra noodles, some chili paste, some cayenne pepper and the shichimi togarashi condiment....things started to look up. It was creamy, spicy and oh so delicious. Lastly, to end the night, we got the Japanese cherry blossom jelly and the matcha tiramisu. Both were delicious and light. The Cherry blossom was so yummy, it reminded me of lychee. Just light and very flavorful. Absolutely, visually stunning as welll....i believe the youngins would call it a "clean girl aesthetic". The Japanese matcha tiramisu was delectable. Creamy, spongy and topped with a wonderful matcha powder that isn't overwhelming. All in all, we enjoyed our dinner date here. The food was good, price is a little steep for what you get and the decor is cute, big and open....with the exception of the smell of a really fat dinosaur who had an accident in the lobby. Thankfully, when we were heading through the lobby to leave, the stench of the dinosaur dookie was almost completely gone. For those of you who want to try it, I'd say go for it but I would also say you wouldn't miss out on anything, if you didn't.

So I ordered the yellow curry Ramen of the day since the pork belly is on their menu daily. The broth for both was so good. Since it was just me dining, I did have plenty of leftovers which were just as good a couple days later. Especially since the tofu in the Ramen really soaked up some of the flavor of the broth. I will definitely come here again, especially for that Tokyo old-fashioned. It was delicious. It was made with a tequila versus a whiskey and I think about it every day.
