Oji Sushi and Bar is located at Triangle Square in Costa Mesa. The entrance is facing the street on Harbor Blvd. They have a parking structure close by, so it's just a short walk to the restaurant. They offer both a Regular and Premium all you can eat option. The Premium option gives you access to 12 more items on the menu. The menu lists these items as "Premium Sushi," however, not all of the items are sushi. For example, the Salmon/Yellowtail Kama is a large piece of fish collar, and the Soft Shell Crab is battered and fried. For sushi, you can get salmon toro, yellowtail toro, bluefin tuna toro, king scallop, halibut, black snapper, ama ebi, uni, salmon egg, and truffle salmon. Your first order of each item is included in the AYCE price. My favorites were the truffle salmon, uni, and bluefin tuna toro! They have a good variety of options on their AYCE menu like rolls, carpaccio, salads, and shareables/apps. We got a few different rolls like their Ultimate Salmon Roll (salmon, krab, asparagus, cucumber), their Spicy Salmon Tempura Roll (salmon, krab, avocado, deep fried), Salmon Crazy Roll (shrimp tempura, spicy tuna, cucumber, avocado, salmon, and crunch onion), and Vegas Roll (Deep fried eel, spicy tuna, krab, cucumber, avocado), and the Baked Alaskan Roll (baked salmon, krab, avocado). For carpaccios, they have salmon, tuna, yellowtail, seared tuna, and albacore. Everything is nicely presented!

The last time I came, I didn't have the best service but decided to give it another shot! Our server was great! She was friendly and checked on us often . She had great vibes. Food: I love a good AYCE sushi which as we all know sometimes the quality isn't the best but I can say tonight's sushi was BOMB! Ordered the premium and it did not disappoint! You got to get the Premium and it's so worth it. The collar was so so bomb along with the uni! Their carpaccios were so good! And the nigiri was fresh and they didn't put tons of rice. It was a good ratio. Shishito peppers and garlic edamame are a must . I ordered the cucumber salad too but they forgot to bring it out. Ambiance -: love the ambiance here. It's chill , vibey, more relaxed like you can be a little loud and it's ok! Not all prim and proper. It's also very clean . Drinks : they have great drink specials . Literally buy a bottle of sake and get one for a penny! How can you say no to a bottle for a penny!! Great spot to catch up with friends , drink , not feel rushed and enjoy some fresh sushi!!

Went in after the lunch rush around 2pm and no one was there. Went with the happy hour special buy 1 roll at regular price and 2nd roll is half price. Candy Roll $16.95 Caterpillar Roll $8.25 Crunch Dragon Roll $18.95 Fire Cracker Roll $7.62 All 4 rolls were delicious! Only 2 of us so our tummies were full. It's a big place so plenty of seating but the AC wasn't working or they where being conservative and shut it down after the lunch rush, but there was fans everywhere which kept it on the cool side. This place does get busy starting at 4pm. My go to place whenever in the mood for Sushi in Newport and after the beach.

My boyfriend and I have been here like 3x in the last month for ayce sushi because it is our new favorite place. We discovered this place sometime last year but only ordered takeout, but decided to come for ayce one day and it changed our life. We've been to quite a few ayce sushi in OC/LA but I think this one is currently #1 on our tier list. The fish is super fresh, so even if you eat a lot it doesn't make you feel sick like some other places. The hand rolls are my favorite because i feel like the fish to rice ratio is perfect. Also the nigiri barely has any rice to it which is great! the rolls dont fill you up too much either. Basically in everything there is minimal rice which keeps the sushi tasting more light so you can eat more which I really appreciate You are allowed to order 3 rounds, I suggest to order a lot the first round so that you don't over order on the second and third Service is always really great, we have been here twice on Saturday and once on Friday for the lunch deal. On Saturday during lunch its not too busy so I think the service is better since they dont have too many tables to attend to, but all the waiters are super nice and helpful!

Great service. Chill vibe. GREAT price for AYCE and beer. Good fish quality and balance ingredients in the rolls, BUT the rice was not it. The fried/hit items from the kitchen were delicious! We finished the meal with fries and beer While I would not tell others to avoid the restaurant, because it might just have been an off night, i would hesitate to come back for sushi but would eat my money's worth in apps and the carpaccios. I would pass on the garlic edamame... Overall, try it for yourself. If you're in the area, looking for AYCE, and a chill vibe to be with a group, this is a solid choice.

Oji Sushi is located in the Triangle Square shopping mall in Costa Mesa. It is located right next to the east-side entrance of the parking garage off Newport Boulevard. The parking garage has many underground levels and is often very busy. I was lucky to grab one of the last few spaces on the second level down on an early Tuesday evening. The interior is trendy with lots of neon signs, cool wall décor, stylish seating, and an attractive bar. In addition to booth and half-booth/half-table seating, they also have two enclosed glass wall rooms for more intimate dining. We went for the all-you-can-eat dinner, which is $38.99 per person for the regular menu or $45.99 per person for the premium menu. We wanted to have the premium menu, but one person in our group of four was running late. We asked if we could have the premium menu and just get regular menu items until they arrived. We didn't think it would be a big deal, but our server said everybody had to be there at the beginning to order premium. We ordered a rainbow roll to hold us over until our friend finally arrived. We had various nigiri including salmon, tuna, albacore, yellowtail, sweet shrimp, scallop, eel, uni, masago, salmon egg, as well as soft shell crab, broiled and fried mussels, octopus, and shishito peppers. There were probably some other items I forgot. Everything was generally good, although a few pieces of tuna were a little on the dry side. Slow service the main issue. The restaurant wasn't very busy, and it seemed like there was only one server who I'm sure was trying her best. It often took quite a while for food to arrive, and several of our orders were mistakenly delivered to the table next to us. We thought we were done, and at the very end another large plate came out including some of the premium items we never got earlier. The meal was ok, but we probably wouldn't return.

Went for a late Saturday night dinner and was pleasantly surprised they have late night happy hour every day. Quality food specials so we need to come back for AYCE!

Such a great place sushi was amazing the service is top notch and I gotta say the albacore was so yummy we will be back for sure Even the kids loved it

Never disappoints. One of the top places for AYCE! They really have everything but the carpaccio is key. We had the snow roll & crunch roll aside from sashimi. Yumm. Already craving this as I write this post. The flavors really pack a punch & miso soup with edamame is an excellent touch! Servers were nice and the club lighting takes you away from the hot sun or away from a drab ordinary night. Highly recommend!

Went for the lunch all you can eat today. Portions were good, price was fair, quality was decent, first round came out quick, but took around 25 minutes for any part of the second round to come. There were only 3 or 4 other tables. Also the place looks cool, but the blaring house music was a bit obnoxious, especially when it was a club remix version of a Celine Dion song. Best things were the karaage and the hand rolls. Overall, decent enough time.

This place is located in the corner of a shopping mall area. Open and bright, the cucumber salad and the garlic edamame were my favorite things, the service was great, greeted as soon as we walked in. A ton of sushi was ordered.

Food was very good and sushi very fresh. We ordered a bento plate and a couple of rolls. I ordered a Salmon Sin Salad though and although it looked pretty, once I stirred the salad there was hardly any salmon skin, literally just a few pieces. I informed our waiter that they seem to have forgotten my salmon skin and he said he'll have the cook make some more. Thank you for making it right, I got a nice amount to add to my salad. The ambiance was trendy and full of customers. We've been at this location while it's been 3 different other sushi names and I'm happy to see they're continuing to be good.

Was able to try Oji Sushi & Bar during its happy hour, which is Sunday through Thursday from 3PM-6PM. My friends and I left pretty satisfied with the portion and quality of dishes respective to price. Our total (3 people) amounted to around $15 each, which is honestly a steal! Overall, I don't think Oji has the best sushi, but is a budget spot to hit if you are craving fish but don't want to break the bank. Items Ordered: - Spicy Crispy Tuna Rice - Yuzu Yellowtail - Angrytail Roll Ambience: Slightly elevated with dark lighting and modern interior. Plenty of seating with booth and table seating suitable for different sizes of parties. Service: Was a bit on the slower side even though the restaurant itself wasn't too busy. (I think they were short-staffed.) Of note, most of the staff is young and probably around high school to college aged. Parking: Located in a busy plaza but with plenty of free parking to find. Can be a bit difficult to locate as it is on the outer edges of the plaza. Overall Impression: Solid happy hour spot with excellent value at $15 per person. While it's not the highest quality sushi you'll find, the portions and prices make it a great option for casual dining with friends. Definitely worth adding to your rotation of happy hour spots in OC!

I pretty much love everything. I've been trying a lot of sushi restaurants lately, and for some reason Eat Sushi just didn't completely hit the spot for me. Don't get me wrong--the ingredients tasted fresh, from the seaweed to the fish, but some of the regular sushi felt like it was missing a little character or that extra something that makes you want another piece. Now, the sashimi and the no-rice sushi? Those are the ones to look out for. Really good flavor and definitely the standouts of our meal. Service was fast and efficient, although it came across a little snobbish at times. The place itself is okay, but it can get pretty crowded, especially during peak hours, and expect a line when it gets busy. Portions were decent, prices were fair, and there's a good variety for the whole family. I'd probably come back and focus more on the sashimi and some of their specialty items next time. I find thicker cuts a little dense and tiring to eat after a while, although that really comes down to personal preference rather than anything being wrong with how it was prepared. The sides were fine as well, but nothing particularly stood out to me. We had actually expected just the usual soup ramen place, but later discovered that, although a view varieties of ramen noodles are offered on their menu, their specialty was in fact the dried version of a bowl of soup ramen noodles, or what our server referred to as a bowl of "reverse" ramen noodles, better known as Mazemen noodles.... sounded really yummy so far as I have always preferred dry noodles to soup ones. So, my wife went ahead and ordered a bowl of spicy California Tonkotsu ramen noodles, and I went with the Saitama Chicken Mazemen noodles..... and some handmade spicy wonton and fried Karaage Chicken on the side. Our food came out pretty fast, super hot, super fresh, and super delicious! I tried some of my wife's soup ramen, and yes, had great flavor... not too salty, and perfectly medium firm ramen noodles. As for my Mazemen noodles....woweee!.... this was my first time trying Mazemen noodles, with a large board on the wall with instructions on how Wadaya's Mazemen noodles should be eaten. When the instructions were followed, I dug straight in and...mmmmm good! The combination of ingredients in the bowl.... peppered ground chicken, scallions, chives, poached egg, minced garlic, fish umami, and seaweed flakes.... when all tossed together just made for an amazingly delicious bowl of noodles! I really loved and enjoyed it so very much! The Chicken karaage and spicy wontons were very delicious too and went great with our noodles. Other than that, very cute and cozy ambiance... like a little Japanese ramen place, service was excellent.. our server was so nice, so friendly, so attentive, and so helpful.... this made for just the perfect lunch! This place may not be as high profiled as other more popular and well known brands of ramen places, but it's definitely one of the best we've ever tried, and we'll definitely be back soon.

We were looking for a ramen option before headed to the airport, and we followed Yelp community's…read morerecommendation (trusting HI fellows once more!). To my surprise, it was a good experience that we had. The shop was small, but the staff has a workflow nailed down. The parking was not too terrible on a weekday evening -- I was worried about the warnings, so we parked on the street. When walking to the hotel, I saw that there were many open spaces in the parking lot! We had the chicken cartillage and the calamari for appetizers. The cartillage was good, but portion was quite small. Some additional seasoning/salt would have also made it much better! The calamari was definitely VERY different from other places, but I liked the batter texture. What I loved about the ramen here is that they let you customize from the noodle size, texture, spice level, and the salt level! I always prefer the thicker noodle type, so I found it comforting to be able to request it at no extra charge. Beware there is extra charge for Spice level 4 & 5! I had the Garlic Tonkotsu ramen, which was flavorful and not too salty/creamy. My fiance had the Tan Tan ramen at level 5 spice, which he thought it was not spicy (it was for me!) and not as flavorful as what I ordered. Overall, I would definitely revisit this shop next time I'm in Oahu!
