We had lunch a few times already. Lunch menu is a lot more affordable than the dinner menu. $25 to $30 We got the sushi combo and the chirashi bowl. Both dishes were fresh and delicious. Plenty of parking. Service was friendly.

Had dinner for my Birthday at K's. There is a head chef change coming. I honestly will miss Mako. Things change and move forward. Will review after my next visit A+ to management. It hard to be good Cheers!

Exceptional delivery on quality and experience. Interiors is modern with moody lighting- perfect for a date night or elevated dinner out. Servers were super friendly and attentive. Some of the freshest fish ive had at any sushi spot in OC or LA. They also carry selections from Japan that you rarely see elsewhere which makes the menu more unique. Its hairy crab season so it was great to see they offered that as well. Prices are definitely on the higher side but you can taste the quality in every bite. You get what you pay for.

We came to K's Bistro on a Saturday night to celebrate my sister's birthday and got the special omakase. We made reservations in advance and were seated at the bar in front of the chef. The appetizer and the uni toro ikura bowl were definitely the highlights of the meal. The hokkaido uni was SOO fresh and sweet. The edible flowers made a nice touch to the uni toro ikura bowl. The quality of the fish was amazing, I would definitely come back to K's Bistro if I'm ever craving for omakase. It was truly an impeccable experience.

I visited for lunch and found the establishment to be a charming, intimate setting. The service was exceptionally professional, courteous, and polite. The two sushi chefs were also very friendly. The restaurant's traditional Japanese aesthetic, reminiscent of Japan, was quite appealing. For lunch, I ordered the omakase, which was priced at one hundred dollars. I also added an extra appetizer, which, in retrospect, was unnecessary given the generous portions included in the omakase set. The sushi was excellent, very flavorful, and beautifully presented. I thoroughly enjoyed every dish. I highly recommend this establishment, but I strongly advise making a reservation due to its limited seating capacity.

Excellent fresh fish, truly outstanding service and a beautiful interior. The restaurant apologized for being out of a few items due to the holiday, but there were plenty of delicious options.

If you're looking for premium omakase or high-end nigiri in OC, K's Bistro in Costa Mesa is the real deal. As someone who's been to dozens of sushi spots across OC, LA, and the Bay Area, this is easily one of my all-time favorites. The vibe genuinely feels like a small, authentic sushi chef's restaurant in Japan -- intimate, cozy, and focused on craftsmanship rather than flash. It's not ideal for large groups, but that's part of what makes the experience feel so special. I tried a variety of incredible cuts, including golden eye snapper, halibut, red snapper, Spanish mackerel, and amberjack -- all beautifully presented and truly melt-in-your-mouth. The A5 Wagyu was unbelievably tender, and the bluefin tuna carpaccio with real truffle shavings (not truffle oil) completely blew me away. You can taste the difference immediately. The service is just as impressive as the food -- from the servers to the sushi chefs. Everyone is attentive, welcoming, and makes the experience feel personal and elevated. Whenever I'm in OC and feel like treating myself to high-end nigiri and omakase, K's Bistro is always at the top of my list. If you're a sushi lover or want to impress someone with a truly refined Japanese dining experience, this place is a must.

i didnt know what to expect when i arrived to the restaurant esp with its unassuming storefront. its easy to miss bc there arent windows or anything. but im glad it is because it felt like a hideaway! the sushi bar is very brightly lit but we sat at the tables. it was a little more dim over there. service was really good. they are very attentive and time the meal perfectly for omakase. the food was delicious! i loved every piece of sushi and the wasabi in each piece wasnt too overpowering or heavy. high quality fish and amazing flavor combinations from the chef! definitely a memorable omakase experience to celebrate special occasions!

Came here to celebrate both my friend's birthday and mine, and it turned out to be an amazing experience. I ordered the $120 omakase, and it was well worth the price. Every dish was delicious, with perfect timing and portion sizes. These days, it's hard to find places (Especially Japanese restaurants) that truly deliver for the price, but this one absolutely does. Both the chef and our server are Japanese, and the experience genuinely felt like dining at a restaurant in Japan. A rare find and a real standout. We mentioned it was our birthdays, and they surprised us with a thoughtfully decorated birthday dessert, which was such a nice touch. Highly recommend.

Love this place. The food is so fresh and good. The nasumiso is phenomenal for anyone who likes mushrooms and eggplant. The carpaccios are all in a deliciously flavored sauce. Small and quaint place. You can call ahead for reservations. They have a parking lot but Parking can be tough at times so give yourself an extra few mins to park.

Another 5 star experience at K's Bistro! The staff is always warm and welcoming. Mako is one of a kind. The best sushi chef west of the Mississippi!! My wife and I always have a great time coming here. Had the bluefin carpaccio, blue crab cut roll, rainbow snapper, red snapper, Takowasa, amberjack belly, salmon collar, fresh scallop and baby fried river crabs tht were out of this world. coming back again real soon. Nice cozy setting at the sushi bar.

Today we went there not knowing of the change. The food is now certainly "all you can eat" quality. We opted against the all you can eat limited menu, and ordered of the regular menu but the quality was terrible: 1. The toro nigri was chewy, very thinly cut, with a very small piece of rice. 2. We could not tell the difference between regular salmon and the salmon belly nigri they brought us. It looked and tasted exactly the same. Definitely not fatty salmon belly. 3. The yellow tail belly was chewy. 4. All the fish in their nigri sushi were thinly cut with very little rice. Definitely all you can eat amount of fish. 5. The rolls were small and for some reason all tasted the same with little flavor. If you like all you can eat sushi places which always offer low quality fish, you might like this place. We will miss sushi Imari and the great quality sushi they served.

Have we tried other places? Of course - and always regretted doing so lol - now it's just Eat's Sushi every time! I attached 3 photos from this particular visit on Friday night, 5.22.26, and wrote a short blurb for each photo to explain why Eat's is hands down, the best place and usually the place of choice we go to at least 3x a month! They are always busy and that never bothers us because everyone else knows this is the place to go for fresh fish, amazing service, and friendly staff! We have figured out how to join their wait list without waiting their usual 30-60+ min wait. Even if we have to wait, we will. It's worth it every time! On this particular visit, Leo sat us down and Evelyn was our server. All of them are wonderful and these two elevated our visit yet once again! It is the main reason I wanted to post this because they deserve accolades. Leo already had our usual "hot water" order waiting for us at the table and Evelyn is always patient with us when we place several small orders because we like to keep the fish fresh. It's called "tsuika de onegaishimasu" if you care to know haha . The owner was also there that evening, and we witnessed him supporting his team quietly and gratefully by helping collect empty dishes off occupied tables to take them to the kitchen himself. His humble leadership explains why Eat's is on point with their customer service ! Price is extremely reasonable, quality is exceptional, and for us, we love the cozy ambiance! See you next week, Eat's Sushi!

I've been putting off this review based on an experience I had here a few months ago…read more I had worked a long shift as a blue collar worker and was starving when I came in. I also had to use the restroom really bad. I walked in and spoke with a lady at the front counter and I told her I needed a table for 1 but before I was to be seated I needed to use the restroom. She looked at me with a skeptical look and asked me "Are you just trying to use the restroom? Are you really gonna eat here or just use the restroom and leave?" in a very condescending tone. The way she looked at me and spoke to me made me feel like someone off the street, a bum, trying to use the restroom. I'm Latino and a blue collar worker who wears work boots and work pants, so I feel like my appearance made her feel comfortable to question me and speak to me the way she did. If I was a white dude in regular clothes I highly doubt she would've talked to me like that. I insisted I was there to dine in but that I really needed to use the restroom first. After I convinced her, she pointed to the right corner of the restaurant and told me to go ahead. I was halfway to the restroom when I said you know what, **** this. I'm not spending my money where I'm not being treated with respect. I did an about face and started walking out and the lady asked me if the restroom was closed or something but I told her I didn't want to eat there anymore. I high-tailed it out of there and went to Chopob sushi down the street where I was treated much kinder and got to use the restroom before being seated, without question. I will never give this business another cent. Treat your customers with respect.

You won't find your typical rainbow rolls at this restaurant (I do love a good rainbow roll though). The rolls we ordered were the Snowflake (which was flavored with yuzu), the Lobster roll (which was so much more than a typical baked lobster/langostino roll), and the Are You Kidding Me roll, which was big on truffle flavor and came topped with fried onions. I thoroughly enjoyed the Snowflake roll. It had multiple types of fish inside, and the yuzu flavor added the perfect fresh citrusy touch. It also came dotted with a tiny bit of sriracha (or some other spice) but it was just a hint and it's easy to wipe off if you don't want any spice. The Lobster roll was the star of the show. I give it a 10/10 for presentation, and it was also the best tasting one in my opinion. It was plated with a shelled lobster tail, which looks visually pleasing, but the most impressive part was right before serving, the waitress lit it on fire and handed it to us, as if it were flaming creme brulee or something. The flame actually wasn't on the roll itself, but was on what appeared to be a trail of salt (presumably soaked in some kind of alcohol to make it burn). It definitely was a cool effect and I've never seen anything like it in a sushi restaurant! Lastly, the Are You Kidding Me roll - this was my third favorite out of the three we ordered. It was pretty good but I think the truffle flavor was a bit strong. I'm also personally not a huge fan of fried onions on top of sushi since I think it clashes a bit with the freshness of the fish, and gives me too many bar food vibes. But it certainly was flavorful and my husband and I still finished it. We shared these three sushi rolls between the two of us and it was just the right amount of food to leave feeling full. Besides the food, the restaurant itself was nice although I'm not sure they really needed to have a live DJ there as opposed to having a Spotify Playlist. Didn't bother me but I don't think it really added much to the vibe. I would definitely eat here again!

But the flavors of the dishes eased my fear. It was delicious. I love salmon and uni when it comes to sushi and I would recommend others to try this place! Several people already saw my instagram post and asked the name of the restaurant! I'm very happy that the food turned out phenomenal! Toyko nacho (recommend) : it was messy to eat and had a kick of spice. I didn't mind the mess though. Lots of different flavors. Uni hotate yuzu: scallops topped with uni. Eating it was like butter. Sour flavor profile from the yuzu. A bit overpowering. And the maldon sea salt was interesting. So you get the texture of buttery soft from the scallop and uni and a crunch factor from the salt. 5pc Salmon nigiri: so fatty and buttery! If you love salmon then definitely get this. The presentation was so cute. It lays on a bed of ice. And throughout the dinner the pieces of salmon were chilled. Monster nigiri (recommend) : I don't think anything about this when my honey suggested order this. But once it got to the table and we ate it. Wow! This dish flavors stood out to me. The crispy sweet onions and sauce perfected the meal. Dragon: It was pretty tasty and decent. I know my honey liked it a lot. He prefers not to eat raw fish, so this was to his liking (I recommend to those who don't eat raw fish). Truffle essence (recommend) : The taste of truffle is weirdly addicting. The presentation was eye catching because the candle is keeping the truffle butter warm. The concept of dipping or pouring the truffle butter onto the roll was a fun way of eating. Snowflake roll: A lot of reviews mentioned this was a popular dish. I can see why it was popular. It's literally a bunch of fish in a roll! Haha, fish lover this would be perfect to order. Crunchy roll: It was a decent roll, but a bit dryer than I expected. Orders and ratings: Tokyo nacho 9/10. Uni hotate yuzu 10/10. 5pc Salmon nigiri 10/10. Monster 11/10. Dragon 8/10. Truffle essence 9/10. Snowflake roll 10/10. Crunchy roll 6/10. Thank you!

The evening already started off on a bad note as there doesn't seem to be an organized waitlist system -- they seat parties based on whoever arrives first but we were seated after a party that came later despite having the same number of people... After waiting around 15 minutes, we were seated and started ordering what we wanted. Our waitress was busy handling other tables so we had to ask another waiter on 2 separate occasions for water cups, plates, utensils, etc. He seemed confused why our table wasn't prepared adequately. Our first appetizers finally arrived after 30 minutes which included the edamame, some tempura/dumplings, and takoyaki. The portions were tiny but good. Fast forward another 15 mins and the baked salmon roll had arrived which tasted subpar as the rice was incredibly mushy. After waiting another 15 minutes, we asked our waitress if we could just pay for what we had eaten and leave as no one had checked up on us and our order. It had been an HOUR since we were seated and no sushi rolls except one had been served. The sushi chef let us know to wait ten more minutes while he got started on our order, basically letting us know he forgot to make our food. We let our waitress know that we refused to wait any longer and to charge us for what was already served to which she replied with a snotty tone that other places will have longer wait times and rolled her eyes. The sushi chef was kind enough to comp our meal after this disaster, but the waitress left a bad taste in our mouth. Won't be coming back here.

Already craving this as I write this post. The flavors really pack a punch & miso soup with edamame is an excellent touch! The parking garage has many underground levels and is often very busy. I was lucky to grab one of the last few spaces on the second level down on an early Tuesday evening. The interior is trendy with lots of neon signs, cool wall décor, stylish seating, and an attractive bar. In addition to booth and half-booth/half-table seating, they also have two enclosed glass wall rooms for more intimate dining. We went for the all-you-can-eat dinner, which is $38.99 per person for the regular menu or $45.99 per person for the premium menu. We wanted to have the premium menu, but one person in our group of four was running late. We asked if we could have the premium menu and just get regular menu items until they arrived. We didn't think it would be a big deal, but our server said everybody had to be there at the beginning to order premium. We ordered a rainbow roll to hold us over until our friend finally arrived. We had various nigiri including salmon, tuna, albacore, yellowtail, sweet shrimp, scallop, eel, uni, masago, salmon egg, as well as soft shell crab, broiled and fried mussels, octopus, and shishito peppers. There were probably some other items I forgot. Everything was generally good, although a few pieces of tuna were a little on the dry side. Slow service the main issue. The restaurant wasn't very busy, and it seemed like there was only one server who I'm sure was trying her best. It often took quite a while for food to arrive, and several of our orders were mistakenly delivered to the table next to us. We thought we were done, and at the very end another large plate came out including some of the premium items we never got earlier. The meal was ok, but we probably wouldn't return.

Beyond the freshness, I loved the creative touches--they clearly put a lot of thought into the garnishes and sauces. The service was attentive, and the restaurant has a great energy. Although, it's funny everyone mainly comes for the sushi rather than the izakaya food. Love the interior! Modern, sleek, and minimalistic. The restaurant was a lot bigger than I thought since there's patio seating. Parking here is shared with a business complex, which they offer your 2 hr free with validation. If over, it would have been $1.50 per 15 minutes (from what I remembered). Service was also friendly and efficient! We got to order the rock shrimp tempura, omakase bowl, miso crab salmon, maguro kajime, and the soy garlic edamame. Orders came out pretty quickly! We actually got the rock shrimp tempura first, which this one was pretty nice for the first few bites. Then it was me realizing that the batter was really hard, which I feel like this should be called rock hard shrimp haha. The flavors were good though! The soy garlic edamame came next, which this one was really nice! The soy garlic gives it a nice sweet touch. They also give a good amount. Then came the maguro kajime, this one was really good! Fish was really fresh and everything was so soft. Then came the miso crab salmon, this one was my favorite! Flavors tasted really good fused together, also very soft and fresh! The omakase bowl came last, which definitely was pretty nice. Everything was really fresh and it was nice they offer you seaweed so you can make your little hand rolls with it. The sea trumpet seaweed was really unique, although, I wasn't really a big fan of it after having so much it because it's tasted very oceanic. Actually, the whole omakase bowl tasted really oceanic, which is pretty nice, but personally for me it was too much haha. Everything was really good though! My least favorite may be the rock shrimp tempura, but my favorite was the miso crab salmon.
