Such a Costa Mesa staple! We use to come here all the time when we use to live in the area. This is me and my husband's go to when we were dating! I absolutely love this place and never did it disappoint. They are still consistent even today. The last time we are here was before we moved to Vegas in 2017. I really miss this place and could not find anything at Vegas that's casual and delicious like this place. We absolutely love the pink Cadillac and all their no rice rolls. Worth every penny. We can't get great sushi like this fresh and good in Vegas. I love the red eye as well. All light with seasoning on point. The nigiri are pretty pricey for 1 piece but it's fresh fatty tuna and blue fin. What do you expect. Especially since everything has gone up and cost of living is not the same anymore. Came here for the lunch special. It did not disappoint. Parking is not the greatest. However the service is friendly and the ambiance is relaxing. The lunch special was sashimi I got that came with spicy tuna roll and miso soup. It was all good. Wis I could have had more. 5/5. This is our favorite local sushi spot, super delicious and fresh. The service is fast and friendly, I always like talking to the staff. Also the prices are great, not cheap, but they're definitely not trying to price gouge their customers. Wonderful! The people are so nice there, incredibly friendly! The food is reasonably priced and the sushi is fresh and oh so delicious. The portions in the bento boxes were really good. The pork tonkatsu was perfect and so was the teriyaki salmon. The miso soup was piping hot just the way I like it. The salad and dressing was not watered down like other restaurants. Nestled in a tiny strip mail along Newport Ave in Costa Mesa this little "mom and pop" sushi/Japanese restaurant has been around for over a decade. They must be doing something right because it was pretty busy post lunch and pre-dinner. As the name implies they specialize in sushi but they also have other dishes like udon and yakisoba etc. so if you're not into the raw fish scene you have other choices. My son and i got the sushi combination plate while my two daughters got udon and wife got yakisoba. All of them looked and smelled amazing but my sushi was amazing. We were very surprised when we walked in. Not super busy, but it was a late afternoon around two took our 11-year-old nephew who loves sushi. He ordered the night roll and the monster roll. I ordered a half roll. I think it was the Scott roll and my wife ordered a soup. We also ordered a yellow tail cheek. Everything was fantastic.
