Food Poisoning Alert!!! On 5/29, we ordered the House Special Roll, Baked Salmon Roll, and Baked Scallop Roll from this restaurant. I want to advise others to use caution before dining here. This restaurant used to have great flavor and fresh ingredients, but unfortunately that no longer seems to be the case. All three adults in my family became seriously ill after eating there. We experienced severe diarrhea, fever, nausea, and vomiting that lasted for three days. The symptoms were so severe that we were bedridden and unable to carry out our normal daily activities. We contacted the restaurant to inform them of the situation. Rather than showing concern or offering any form of assistance, they immediately denied that their food could have been the cause and refused to take any responsibility. The lack of professionalism and customer care was extremely disappointing. Based on our experience, we will never return. Cherry Blossom Roll (5/5): Simple with salmon but the bonito flakes on top give a lot of flavor! I enjoyed this roll a lot without feeling too heavy after. Mother & Son Roll (5/5): This roll comes with seaweed salad on top and they loaded it for sure. Definitely reminds me of the ocean. Salmon Don (4/5): The presentation of the salmon don was perfect. They did give a ton of rice which we did not finish. I did enjoy that the rice was sushi rice. Bluefin Hand Roll (5/5): Get this! So so good with the tempura crunch and the fattiness of the bluefin. Me and a few coworkers came for lunch, we were greeted and seated right away. Wasn't sure what to order, they have a pretty large menu but we decided on the sushi boat since it says serves 2-3 people and we had 3 people. The sushi boat was $83.99 plus tax and tip came out to around $110. First of all it took almost an hour (like 55 minutes) to make when there was only 2 other tables in the restaurant. Another table ordered a la carte some time after us and got their food long before us which I understand the boat may take long but no one informed us it would be an hour. Second, the second line says sushi and sashimi (8pcs + 18 pcs total) as a separate line from sweet shrimp, scallop, and bluefin tuna (which was on the first row) but it actually means that's included in the 8+18 pc which doesn't really make sense to me. And on the last row it says miso, salad, and mix tempera but it means miso soup OR salad and tempera and for the soup OR salad you only get 2 even though it says for 2-3 people and we had 3 people. So we had 3 people share two soup... Overall I think their menu is VERY MISLEADING and the boat is not worth it. I've had other boats at other restaurants and actually serves more for around the same price. If that was the case we would have ordered a la carte or the sashimi special option 3 which alone has 17 pcs of sashimi for 35.99 which is less than half the price of the boat. Tuna and albacore quality was definitely not there, had suspicious color and taste. Salmon however was sooo good and creamy. The fatty tuna just melts in your mouth. Their handrolls are also ginormous. The sweet shrimp was also really good and tempura. Fried soft shell crab was a little fishy tasting. When both of the dishes came out, surprisingly, they were much bigger than I thought they would be. It filled us both with what we ordered. The sashimi was so fresh and tender. It felt like it just melted right inside your mouth. The entree also came with complimentary miso soup and salad while you waited. The only thing that my husband commented on was the rice for his chirashi bowl was too dry. Thus he didn't enjoy it as much. Although you aren't getting your freshly cut sashimi with quality sushi rice, the rolls were decent for what you pay for. The tuna maki rolls were huge and definitely a must have.
