I literally only had one other place I normally go to but otherwise I'm always skeptical to try new places since most AYCE sushi places aren't fresh & my stomach usually pays the consequences after. But Sake2Me was so perfect in every bite. I lost count of how many Cajun salmon sashimi I ordered because it was just THAT good. They also had Cajun escolar which was also tasty. The only thing that kinda sucked was ordering from the QR code that's on the table. Some of the orders didn't go through so we never knew until we realized our orders never came out. We recommend just placing the orders on the tablet that's on the table. The orders placed on their tablet is very convenient. Makes ordering so much more efficient. It was a very busy Sunday evening but the orders still come out in a timely manner. $42.99 for AYCE, not that bad. What's different about this AYCE place is the premium sushi including scallop, bluefin tuna, toro, & salmon belly are only allowed 1 piece per customer. I didn't realize that the old Wabi Sabi had shut down and became a sushi restaurant so I decided to try it out. The first thing that almost made me turn around and leave was the fact that you can't go in right away but must sign up outside on a tablet via Yelp to wait to get called in to get seated. In triple digit heat, that's not the business. I can't even imagine having to wait during the rain and cold season. So that right there was a big thumbs down for me. Luckily I only had a few minutes wait but for the number of patrons inside, the wait outside was not necessary. Now the inside is totally remodeled with a Japanese vibe and different sized tables depending on the parties. You view the menu and order via tablet. There are either 2 options, AYCE or ala cart. They have a variety of items of choose from and the sushi was delicious!! The rolls I ordered and sashimi was good and good sized portions. They're fast and didn't have to wait long for my food. The staff is friendly and anyone that was available would get whatever I needed. I hope they don't continue that practice of having to wait outside to get seated when there's plenty of space inside. The restaurant is spacious with many tables and booths good for a group a two or more. They share parking with other businesses in the plaza and can get packed. Sometimes, you'll have to park behind the restaurant. You can join their waitlist via Yelp. Average wait time is about 20 mins from our experience. They have Lunch (open-3pm), Dinner (3pm-close), Fri-Sun & holidays, Kids, and Premium AYCE options. What I appreciate about their sushi menu is that each order comes with one piece to avoid wasting food. Our favorite items to order are everything from the premium menu, Smoked Salmon, Ikura, Cajun Yellowtail, Cajun Salmon, Salmon Skin Salad, Rolly Polly, and Salmon Skin Skewer. If I had to pick just one from this list, it would be the Cajun Salmon. I cannot have enough of it. It's so fresh, silky, and has that perfect hint of smokiness. Their fish to rice ratio is less rice, more fish. The staff are all attentive and friendly. If it's your first time, they'll explain the menu and how to order. You also have a 90 min time limit. I could have gone and just eaten 4 or 5 orders of those. It reminded me of "oysters Rockefeller" with an Asian flavor profile. I would avoid the shrimp skewers, they're extremely dry. The gyoza and karrage also left alot to be desired. Make sure to leave room for dessert. They offer frozen desserts as well as a Dubai chocolate cookie. The Dubai cookie dessert was interesting. This was one of the most disgusting and humiliating restaurant experiences I have ever had. My friend and I were charged an $8 leftover fee because the seaweed in several hand rolls was so tough that it was difficult to chew. We ate the fillings and rice but left some of the seaweed. When we explained this, the server(name Saaid) told us that if we took the discarded food back and ate it, the charge would be removed. The situation became even worse when a male manager without badge (don't know name maybe Sean) came to our table. Instead of professionally addressing the issue, he put his bare hand into a plate containing discarded food and table waste, moved the food around, and repeatedly questioned why we couldn't eat it. We were essentially told that if we ate food that had already been thrown away, we would not be charged the leftover fee. Let that sink in. A manager was handling food waste with his bare hands while pressuring customers to eat discarded food. The issue was never about the $8. It was about being treated with disrespect and being placed in an unsanitary and humiliating situation. We felt singled out because other nearby tables appeared to have leftovers, yet we did not observe staff inspecting or charging those tables. The situation became so unreasonable that we called 911. After speaking with us, the responding officer advised us to pay the bill and pursue complaints through Yelp, Google reviews, and the appropriate food safety and consumer complaint channels afterward. After paying, we asked for the names of the employees involved. Staff refused to provide the manager's name and became hostile. I have visited this restaurant several times before, but after this experience I will never return. Customers deserve better treatment than being pressured to eat food from a garbage plate. read more

Sake 2 Me is located on a inner corner of the shopping center, so it's easy to spot, it's well lit, and has some cute decorations inside. We were seated right away, and we did the AYCE, so we ordered a little bit of everything we liked, and tried a few things! My favorite was that Tempura Nigiri, like how did they make something that amazing?! It basically melted in your mouth as well as having that amazing crunch from the tempura. I need it again. So happy we have a sake2me closer to us now. We were pleasantly surprised with their tempuras and their skewers. Was so excited for the first round of food, we didn't get a chance to take pics of it. These are from our 2nd round. The place is nice and clean, doesn't feel crowded and their servers are nice. Delicious food awaits you when you come here. Some favorites of ours are the sushis (otoro, salmon belly, salmon), the seared Cajun salmon, the unagi tempura and unagi sushi. Ended the meal with hot and tasty miso soup. They had $3 deal for beer as well. I wasn't a fan of the intestine skewer because it was the small intestine and I only really like the large intestines. Salmon collar was delicious but huge. Rolls look delicious but so many pieces and we were afraid we wouldn't like it and they make sure to let you know that they can charge you $2 per sushi left over. Unfortunately we didn't know that the carpaccios were only for dinner so we didn't get to try them. Next time. Definitely recommend this place and definitely coming back for more. We had dinner here last week. There is ample parking available. The restaurant is a good size and good lighting inside. We went with their ayce menu. There are so many options and got a little bit of everything. Mussels, shrimp tempura and skewers were up first. So nice to see skewers on the menu. We also got some unagi tempura and cannot stress enough to get this. The unagi is buttery and fatty and combined with a light tempura batter makes it a match made in heaven. We also got a yellowtail collar you can pnly get one so we figured it would be the best option and it was. It was so fatty and melted in the mouth. The fish itself was so moist and one of the better yellowtail collars I have ever had. The nigiri was fresh and had a great rice to sashimi ratio. The handrolls were large and delicious. We also got a large Sapporo. Monday through Thursday a large Sapporo is only $3. You can't go wrong with that. Awesome service and wonderful food will make this your favorite ayce sushi place. In general, the skewers were quite underseasoned, but the scallops were great. I also super appreciate that this sake 2 me had unlimited ikura as some places do this as a premium item now. Also their seaweed isn't overly old. It still had a crisp to it, and I appreciate them giving me just the seaweed sheet by itself whereas the other location was more hesitant in doing so. This is the kind of place where you can certainly leave full, but unfortunately, fullness was about the only thing I took away from the meal. The biggest disappointment was the quality and texture of the fish. The salmon had a noticeably dry surface and lacked the soft, supple, almost buttery texture that good salmon sashimi should have. We were among the first customers of the day, yet it tasted as though it had been sliced well in advance and left exposed for some time. Freshly cut salmon simply should not have that dry, tired mouthfeel. The tuna was even more disappointing, with a distinctly fishy aroma and flavor. Between the condition of the fish, the cuts, and the overall presentation, nothing gave me the impression that there was a properly trained sushi chef behind the counter. Sushi is deceptively simple food--the quality of the fish matters, but so do knife work, temperature, timing, handling, and texture. Unfortunately, all of those details seemed to be missing here. The grilled intestine had an unexpected texture that I personally did not enjoy. The tempura was probably one of the better items of the meal--perfectly edible and reasonably fried--but even something as simple as the dipping experience was awkward because the tiny plastic sauce dish was barely large enough to dip the tempura into. The recurring problem throughout the meal was texture: too many things tasted dry, pre-prepared, or simply not particularly fresh. I understand that this is an AYCE restaurant, and I certainly don't walk into an all-you-can-eat sushi restaurant expecting an omakase experience. But price still has to correspond to quality. Our bill was around $150 before tax and tip and approximately $200 for two people by the time we walked out. At that price point, the value proposition simply doesn't make sense to me. For roughly the same $200, I would much rather eat less but eat significantly better. At a restaurant such as Ootoro Sushi, that budget can buy beautifully fresh sashimi and properly prepared sushi where you can actually appreciate the quality of the fish. If quantity is your priority, perhaps this place serves its purpose. But if you care about freshness, texture, and the craftsmanship that makes sushi worth eating, I would spend the money elsewhere.
